The purpose of this study was to analyze the local government of multicultural family policy. For this study, researchers first compared Canada, Australia and Japan and, second, analyzed the foreign policy plan data in Korea. The findings were as follows: First, Gyunggi province had many plans for foreign laborers and Gangwon, Kyungbuk and Jeonnam provinces had many plans for multicultural family wives. Second, many local governments had few economic independence programs for multicultural family wives, except Gangwon and Kyungbuk provinces. Third, many local governments had no school or study programs for children of multicultural families, except Gangwon, Kyungbuk and Chungnam provinces. Fourth, Canada and Australia had many sources of public information and many educational opportunities for people to gain understanding but local Korean governments had few of these programs. Finally, Canada and Australia had many international programs for immigrants to maintenance their culture but local Korean governments have none of these programs.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of the preservice secondary school teacher on understanding of international society and curriculum of international understanding and to derive the implications on developing curriculum of international understanding. This study used a questionnaire survey. The results are summarized as follows. First, it seems to be necessary to develop curriculum for satisfying the higesconcerns on worldsculture of preservice secondary school teacher. Second, the curriculum of educating international understanding for preservice secondary school teacher should contain such contents as multiple cultures, multiple perspectives, global relations and instructional materials. Third, it is necessary that instructions on educating international understanding should employ experience of global culture, discussion, lecture and so on.

This study explored variables related to Korean language education for preschool children with multicultural family backgrounds. Participants were 21 Korean language teachers and 14 women who immigrated from China, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines, and Vietnam to marry Korean men. They were mothers of children 2 to 7 years of age and had lived in Korea an average of five years. Mean age of mothers was 37(range of 30 to 43). Half had college and none had less then middle school education. They were interviewed with a series of semi-structured questionnaires. The children were reported to have a low level of vocabulary and articulation because their mothers could not provide fruitful oral language experiences. Supporting systems including family literacy were discussed.

본 논문에서는 학력이 낮은 결혼이민자들에게 이러닝을 통하여 학력을 제공할 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다. 현재 한국은 남아 선호 사상에 따른 성비 불균형과 한국 여성들의 농.산.어촌 생활 기피로 외국인과 결혼하는 한국 남성들이 급속히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 한국 정부에서는 결혼이민자에게 한국어교육과 직업교육을 비롯한 다양한 사회 적응 교육을 실시하고 있으나 결혼이민자의 대부분은 가정 및 직장 생활의 부담 때문에 제대로 교육을 받지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 결혼이민자들에게 이러닝을 통해 한국어교육과 직업교육을 실시하는 방안을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 결혼이민자들의 이러닝을 통한 다문화교육에 대한 설문 조사를 실시하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 결혼이민자들은 대부분 이러닝을 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 출신 국적과 거주지역에 따라 원하는 교육내용에 대한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 이러닝 교육과정을 국적별로 편성하고 지역의 실정에 맞게 운영할 수 있는 방안, 이러닝 교육내용을 한국어교육 중심으로 편성하는 방안, 결혼이민자들의 장점을 살릴 수 있는 직업교육 마련 방안 등의 결혼이민자에 대한 이러닝 지원 방안을 제안하였다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 결혼이민자들이 우리 사회의 소외계층으로 전락하지 않고 당당한 일원으로 정착하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

본 연구의 목적은 다문화사회에 대한 한국 중년기 남녀의 인식 유형을 확인하기 위함이다. 다문화사회에 대한 인식과 관련된 42개의 진술문은 25명의 대상자에게 적용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 이를 PC QUANL program을 이용하여 처리하였다. 다문화사회에 대한 중년기 남녀의 인식은 3개의 유형 '분노-배척형', '배려-수용형', '경계-동화요구형'으로 나타났다. 연구대상자들은 공통적으로 다문화 사회에 대해 인식은 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로, 본 연구에서 확인된 인식 유형을 중심으로 다문화사회에 대한 중년기 남녀의 인식유형에 따라 다문화사회 인식증진 관련 중재 및 프로그램을 개발에 본 연구 결과를 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine formative aesthetic characteristics and aesthetical value of the intraculturalism expressed in contemporary fashion and to confirm the functions of intraculturalism to establish, visualize, perform the racially indeterminate, ethnically neutral, culturally diverse or ambiguous identity. For this study, the applications of the intraculturalism shown in mass media and consumer culture, such as music, fashion advertisements and collections of high fashion designers from 2004 to 2008 have been analyzed and compared. The results were as follows: The Intraculturalism is reflected in the muticultural music such as Afropean, Jawaiian, Reggaeton and Asian Hip Hop. Intracultural music genres create the hybrid music and fashion culture through mixing, matching and blending one and another culture. Advertisement campaigns for Louis Vuitton, YSL Beauty, Gap and H&M stores have all purposely highlighted models with mixed racial heritage. It is reflected in the latest youth fashion market trend using face that are ethnically ambiguous. The increasingly multiracial, multicultural population is due to intermarriage and waves of immigration. The rising mixed race designers, Narciso Rodriguez, Hussein Chalayan, Vera Wang and DooRi Chung, not only compromise and amalgamate different cultural elements of their heritage and contemporary life but also create new look and fashion image. The characteristics of intraculturalism expressed in the 21st century fashion could categorized into de-genre, de-nationality, de-race and de-culture.

This study aimed at identifying a differences of the factors affecting personality of multicultural and non-multicultural household adolescent in rural area. The major findings that were drawn from this study were as follows. Frist, the level of personality perceived by non-multicultural household adolescent was higher than it of the multicultural household adolescent significantly. Second, the regression analysis showed that the factors affecting personality was different between multicultural and non-multicultural household adolescent in rural area. The scholastic performance(${\beta}=.23$), namely, affected most significantly the personality perceived by adolescent of multicultural household, and the immersing time in internet game per one day(${\beta}=-.27$), on the other hand, affected most significantly the personality perceived by adolescent of non-muticultural household. In conclusion, based on results of this study, several plans improving the personality of the rural multicultural and non-multicultural household adolescent were suggested.

본 연구는 국내외에서 이루어지고 있는 도서관의 다문화 서비스 및 프로그램의 지원 현황을 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 다문화 가정을 위한 도서관 프로그램 개발 및 운영방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 도서관의 다문화서비스 프로그램 개발방안에 대해서는 범국가적인 추진체계 하에서 도서관의 특색에 맞는 서비스 프로그램 개발 원리와 방향을 제시하였다. 현재 국내에서 운영되고 있는 도서관의 다문화서비스 프로그램을 유형별로 살펴보고, 운영 사례를 예시로 제시하여 향후 도서관의 다문화 서비스 운영 방안을 모색하는 데 도움을 주고자 하였다.

이 연구의 목적은 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동에서 선정된 책들의 선호도, 분류기호, 주제표목, 발행연도, 장르 등 특성을 살펴봄으로써 지역사회 독서운동의 지향점을 이해하는 것이다. 2010년 6월까지 미국의회도서관(LC) 도서센터 웹사이트에 등록된 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동의 지역별 및 작가별 리스트를 기반으로 2개 이상 프로그램에서 선정된 책 210종의 LC OPAC 서지레코드를 분석하였다. '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동에서 많이 선정된 책은 미국이라는 다문화 사회의 다양한 인종적, 민족적 배경을 가진 구성원의 삶을 그린 전기적 성격의 교양소설이나 가정소설 형식의 비교적 최근 간행된 미국문학작품으로 나타났다. 독서와 토론을 통한 지역사회의 이해와 화합달성이라는 생각이 '한 책' 독서운동의 일관적인 지향점이 되고 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

본 연구는 SNS를 활용한 교육이 다문화 가족에게 얼마나 효과적으로 적용되고, 다문화 가족의 삶에 어떠한 변화를 줄 수 있는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 우리나라에서 다문화 교육은 정부와 지방자치 단체에 의하여 꾸준히 실행해 왔으나, 교육이 전달되는 과정에서 시간, 장소, 경제적 이유와 이주 여성들이 새로운 문화와 언어 등의 제한으로 교육을 받지 못하고 있는 현실이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 다문화 가족에게 한국의 문화, 법률 등 필요한 교육정보를 SNS를 이용하여 제공한 후, 한국생활 적응에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보았다. 그리고 외로움 해소에도 어떤 변화가 있는지 분석하였다. 그 결과 SNS를 활용한 다문화 가족 교육이 한국사회를 이해하고 적응하는데 효과성이 있다고 검증되었다. 뿐만 아니라 가족 간, 다문화 회원 간 상호 소통이 원활하여 외로움 해소에도 도움이 되었다는 것이 입증되었다.
