This study was conducted with the purpose of listening to the explanations of artworks in the non-face-to-face class and confirming the learner's feelings as a result of the class. The proposed system listens to the explanation of the artwork, inputs the learner's emotions with a dedicated key, and expresses the result in music. To this end, the direction of the non-face-to-face art appreciation class model using the emotion key was set, and based on this, a system for non-face-to-face art appreciation was constructed. The learner will use the 'smart device using the emotion key' proposed in this study to listen to the explanation of the artwork and to input the emotion for the question presented. Through the proposed system, learners can express their emotional state in online art classes, and instructors receive the results of class participation and use them in various ways for educational analysis.

This paper is the second part of a series of the research about the Teddy boy style which is to examine various fashion changes in subcultural styles in 1900s. The main concern of this research is to investigate the creation and meaning of the Teddy boy style, how it interacted with the elements of class and generation and how the materials needed by the group constructed and appropriated into the visible systematic cultural form of correspondence. The Teddy Boys are the first recognized members of the British youth culture, which is known as the new Edwardian because of their dress. They had created the concept of the "teenagers," which forms the basis of the sense of a "generation" in the 20th century. The Teds set the style that would be used and modified in the following generations. They adopted the Edwardian style of the upper class, and changed it into their own style by modifying it and adding to it some other elements. The Teddy boys style is a special version of the sartorial appropriation encountered in the sphere of the fashion history. It actually began immediately after the war by the upper class youth far from the working class neighborhood. In the late 1953, the elitist aura surrounding the Edwardian suit was suddenly shattered. Within just a few months, the Edwardian suit became a source of social anxiety and the focus of a symbolic battle. Although the Edwardian look had initially went back to the upper class root, it became a symbol of rootlessness. In appropriation of this image, The Teddy boys were also rejecting the sartorial conformism of the English working class with its modest tradition. In this respect, the Teds effected the ascent or fall of the working class in the area of fashion. The Teds dress was not a merely borrowed fashion, but was a bastard fashion in the form of American trends, the Zoot suit. At this time members of the working class possessed only work dress for the week and waist suits for the Sunday outings. Teds broke this pattern, and developed the working class dandyism of wearing clothes simply to show off. The results were that they succeeded in opening the teen market, and popularizing a working class style for the first time in British history. The Teds became the first British street style with ties music, and remain as an symbol of the rising of a new age of values and styles.f values and styles.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in mathematical learning through applying STEAM education according to social needs for out-of-school youth. For this purpose, we developed a teaching and learning model and program for mathematics and music STEAM education, and we implemented and analyzed the changes of affective area and problem-solving strategies. The analysis results of characteristic in affective area are as follows: first, the activity-oriented class of mathematics and music STEAM education aroused interest in mathematics. Second, providing opportunities for mathematics and music STEAM education instilled a positive perception of the value of mathematics and STEAM education. Third, the autonomous communication-oriented learning environment of mathematics and music STEAM education improved confidence and motivation to learn in mathematics. The analysis results of the characteristic in problem-solving strategy are as follows: first, through the STEAM education with mathematics and music, a conceptual understanding of internally and externally dividing points was formed, and a given problem was expressed and solved in a formula. Second, the functional correspondence relationship was understood, and the given problem was described and solved with symbols associated with the function. The suggestions of the study are as follows: first, based on the teaching and learning model and results of this study, various STEAM education programs for out-of-school youth should be developed and expanded to foster future competencies and provide new changes for out-of-school youth. Second, it can be used for research on the development of teaching and learning materials for convergence elective subjects in the high school credit system by referring to the mathematics and music convergence STEAM program of this study. As the subjects and fields of STEAM education are diversified and organized, students in need of receiving educational opportunities will be reduced, and there will be a world where the name of out-of-school youth and alternative education will not be necessary. Therefore, it is expected that development of teaching and learning programs created by interest in education of out-of-school youth will be used as an innovative idea in school education to achieve a virtuous cycle.
The purpose of this study are (1) to examine the types and the after-school child care for children from low-income(106) and middle-income(99) families and (2) to examine the needs and expectations for after-school child care program of low-income(107) and middle-income(100) mothers. The findings of this study are as follows ; (1) The percentage of self-care among children from low-income families are higher than the children from middle-income families. The after-school activities mainly consist of arts, music, physical and computer lessons. (2) The needs on the after-school care program with non-profit basis which is managed by public welfare systems are higher among the low-income mothers than the middle-income mothers. Many mothers want professional, non-profit, systematic and formal after-school care programs. Some suggestions are proposed for after-school care program which can meet needs of the children and the mothers from diverse economic and social backgrounds.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the costumes of the ruling class in the Asuka-Nara Period by looking at the change in the clothing law of the era. During the Asuka-Nara period, various cultures such as Buddhism, architecture, sculpture, paintings, music, and so on were introduced through vigorous exchange with Chosun and Tang. Contrary to the primitive-Kohun Period, the regulation about costumes was enacted as law in the Asuka-Nara Period this fact tells us that there was high interest in clothing. Frequent reorganization of clothing law had to do with the rank system of Japan as well as with the exchange with other countries. The clothing law of Asuka-Nara Period was mostly consisted of the regulations about costumes of the ruling class including the royal family and government officials. The law regulated different coronet and color for the clothing depending on the different rank of the government officials. The more classified the rank was, the more varied color was used. In addition, there was a variety in the costumes system; 2 piece clothing of the Kohun Period was continuously used while new types of clothing were also introduced. The royal family members and government officials wore different types of clothing such as Yebok, Jobok, and Jebok, depending on time, place, or the purpose of occasion. The costumes of this period could be inferred from the analysis of the relics.
This study aims to examine how the Chinese popular culture, especially music, can contribute to diversification of the ancillary materials for teaching Chinese language, literature and culture, based on the analysis of some songs of Jay Chou. For this purpose, this study analysed 10 songs that have been used in the tests or the text contents in China or Taiwan in terms of rhyme, words relation to the ancient poems, and the Chinese culture. Consequently, the songs of Jay Chou show that they can be used as an ancillary material in the Chinese class from the linguistic, literary, and cultural angles. For use in the Chinese language, literature, culture class in the future, there is a constant need to discover and analyse new materials from the Chinese popular culture.
This paper addresses questions on the marginalized position of youths of 'Gangbuk' and elucidates how they construct their own identities in the individual trajectories of everyday life. Three years of research, including participatory observation and in-depth interviews, was conducted on nine students from Northeastern district of Seoul. The research also adopted reflexive photography interview method in order to encourage the informants to actively participate in the research. The result illustrates the diversity of the everyday life experiences. More 'marginalized' youths from middle to lower class background had to endure the burdens of their daily lives without programs. Still, they were elaborating their own cultural taste and positive self-narratives at the periphery of the mainstream culture, by practicing music, online community activities and bodily performances. They had to negotiate the crucial turn of life after their graduation, when they entered into the harsh social competition with limited resources. We observed how they gradually assimilate the identity of the 'working youth', some of them developing a positive valorization of their experiences labor. Findings underline the active role of the cultural practices in the making of class identity of the youth and the necessity of researches situating the making of class identity and the reproduction of the class for the youth in the larger geography of class culture in the contemporary Korean society. Lastly, it is argued that these youths should not be considered as determined subjects, who reproduce already established class identities, but as active agents of their lives who deserve more respects and attentions from the society.

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of music rope-skipping on health fitness, blood lipids and growth-related factors in male middle school students. For this purpose, twenty subjects were participated in this study and the participants were 'After School Class' boys in B middle school located in Gimhae City. They divided into exercise group(n=10) and control group(n=10). Exercise group conducted 45minutes per a day, four times a week for 12 weeks. And the control group continued their normal life. The results were as follows; First, in exercise group, lean body mass, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility were all significantly increased after program execution. But %body fat was significantly decreased. In control group, muscular strength, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance were significantly increased. There were significant differences in lean body mass, %body fat, muscular strength and flexibility between two groups after program execution. Second, in exercise group, HDL-C was significantly increased after program execution. In control group, TG was significantly decreased. But HDL-C was significantly increased. There were no significant differences in all blood lipids(TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C) between two groups after program execution. Third, in exercise group, GH and IGF-I were significantly increased after program execution. In control group, IGF-I was significantly decreased. There were significant differences in IGF-I between two groups after program execution. These results indicate that music rope-skipping is effective to improve lean body mass, muscular strength, flexibility, GH and IGF-I in normal middle school male students.
The purpose of this study is to develop education programs for effective education of Jeong-gan-bo. Jeong-gan-bo is a unique piece of music made during King Sejong's reign. Starting in the third grade elementary school, Jeong-gan-bo begins to develop. If you fail to understand Jeongganbo in lower grades, you often give up scores of music in a more detailed and complicated manner. This is why we need a customized education program for the first time in lower grades. For this purpose, the basic process of understanding the Jeongganbo is understood to be played as a traditional play. This study consists of the elementary school the 3rd grade scenario. This study consists of the second - grade class scenarios for the 3rd grade elementary school students, the curriculum is centered on the curriculum, which is currently in the 3rd grade curriculum, curriculum in 2009. The program learns to play the rhythm of the 1st phase, the code of the 2nd stage of Jeong-dan, and play the rhythm through play through play. Step 1 is not only visually recognizable, but also a direct sign of the code. The second phase consists of the basic composition of Jeongganbo, through the basic composition of Jangdan, and learns the exact rhythm of Jeongganbo. The results of the study can be divided into meaningful meaning in terms of educational significance and educational content development in terms of educational significance. The methods used to understand the exercises and play games were effective in understanding the contents of Jeongganbo, and also meaningful to the role of traditional music in the context of various programs.

In this paper, we proposed the feature selection algorithm for multi-class genre classification. In our proposed algorithm, we developed GMM separation score based on Gaussian mixture model for measuring separability between two genres. Additionally, we improved feature subset selection algorithm based on sequential forward selection for multi-class genre classification. Instead of setting criterion as entire genre separability measures, we set criterion as worst genre separability measure for each sequential selection step. In order to assess the performance proposed algorithm, we extracted various features which represent characteristics such as timbre, rhythm, pitch and so on. Then, we investigate classification performance by GMM classifier and k-NN classifier for selected features using conventional algorithm and proposed algorithm. Proposed algorithm showed improved performance in classification accuracy up to 10 percent for classification experiments of low dimension feature vector especially.
