  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the longitudinal relations between creativity, academic achievements, and utilization of computer & smartphone of middle school students. For this purpose, multivariate latent growth model was verified, using three year longitudinal panel data of Seoul Educational Longitudinal Study(2013-2015). Results indicated that the more students in their first year used computer & smartphone, the better scores they obtained on the creativity and academic achievements. As their grade goes up, while the growth rates of using computer & smartphone and creativity were related positively, the growth rates of using computer & smartphone and academic achievements -even though it was not statistically significant- were related negatively. In addition, the first year students, who obtained high level of scores on the creativity, obtained high level of scores on academic achievements, but this tendency was not significant as their grade goes up.

  • Achievement pressure and enthusiasm affecting mathematics academic achievement are constantly changing and affecting academic achievement. Therefore, a longitudinal study is needed to examine the influence of the change patterns of teachers' achievement pressure and enthusiasm on the change patterns of academic achievement. This study utilized student data from the 5th grade of elementary school (2013 year) to the third grade of middle school (2017 year) of the Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2013. The longitudinal change patterns of mathematics academic achievement were classified into similar subgroups and the influence of the longitudinal change patterns of the achievement pressure and enthusiasm of each group on the longitudinal change pattern of mathematics academic achievement and the path were compared and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, in all four subgroups with similar longitudinal changes in mathematics academic achievement, the teacher's achievement pressure showed little change from the fifth grade, while the teacher's enthusiasm continued to decline from the fifth grade. In addition, the influence of teachers' achievement pressure and enthusiasm perceived by students in each group on mathematics academic achievement was different. This suggests that in order to improve mathematics academic achievement, it is necessary to support teaching and learning reflecting the characteristics and dispositions of students.

  • The aim of this study was to examine the longitudinal effect of Pre-service Teacher Education Program for Children's Creativity. The participants of this study were 67 pre-service teachers in Seoul, Kyungggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Thirty-six pre-service teachers were assigned to the control group and pre-service teachers were assigned to the experimental group. Pre-service teacher's creativity was measured in three times. TTCT was applied to measure pre-service teacher's creativity and their children's creativity. Multivariate Latent Growth Model was applied to verify the effect of the program on pre-service teacher's creativity. Also, Multiple Regression was used to examine the effect of the program on their children's creativity. As a result, the participation of the program was longitudinally effective on not only pre-service teacher's creativity development but also their children's creativity. The results of current study suggested that it is necessary to help the pre-service teachers foster their creativity in early childhood teacher preparation program.

  • In this study, we tried to examine the longitudinal mediating effects of school violence damage experience and aggression in the relationship between child maltreatment experiences and school bullying experiences. For the analysis data for this purpose, the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th data of the Korean Children and Youth panel data of the Korea Youth Policy Research Institute were used. A total of 1,813 data were analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 26.0 and Amos 26.0 version as a multivariate latent growth model. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to confirm the mediating effects of school violence victimization experiences and aggression. These results suggest that multilateral efforts are needed to lower the level of maltreatment, school violence victimization, and aggression that affect the school bullying experiences. Based on the results of this analysis, this study specifically suggested practical measures to prevent adolescents' maltreatment experiences from being reproduced as school bullying experiences.
