기능적 발목 불안정성을 가진 대상자에게 동적 자세 안정성 훈련과 연성 발목 보조기가 다중 한발 뛰기 수행에 미치는 효과 비교 (Comparison of the Effects of Dynamic Postural Stability Training Versus Soft Ankle Bracing on Multiple Hop Performance in Participants With Functional Ankle Instability)

  • Background: The multiple hop test is an active performance test that has been commonly used to assess individuals with functional ankle instability. Previous studies have suggested that insufficiency of dynamic postural stability and passive stability during dynamic activities can have an influence on performance in the multiple hop test. However, no study has investigated the effects of dynamic postural stability training and ankle bracing on multiple hop test performance in individuals with functional ankle instability. Objects: The purpose of this study was to compare the immediate effects of dynamic postural stability training versus ankle bracing in the performance of the multiple hop test for participants with functional ankle instability. Methods: Twenty-nine participants with functional ankle instability who scored below 24 in the Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool were selected. The participants were randomly divided into two groups: a dynamic postural stability training group (n1=14) and an ankle bracing control group ($n_2=15$). The multiple hop tests were performed before and after applying each intervention. Dynamic postural stability training was performed using visual-feedback-based balance-training equipment; participants in this group were asked to perform a heel raise in a standing position while watching the centering of their forefoot pressure to prevent excessive ankle inversion. Ankle bracing was applied in the control group. Results: When comparing the pre- and post-intervention period for both groups, both methods significantly improved the results of the multiple hop test (p<.05). However, no significant differences were shown between the dynamic postural stability training and ankle bracing groups (p>.05). Conclusion: Both dynamic postural stability training and ankle bracing showed significant improvement (2.85 seconds and 2.05 seconds, respectively) in test performance. Further study is needed to determine the long-term effects of dynamic postural stability training and to determine whether insufficient dynamic postural stability is a causative factor for functional ankle instability.

Speaker Verification with the Constraint of Limited Data

  • Speaker verification system performance depends on the utterance of each speaker. To verify the speaker, important information has to be captured from the utterance. Nowadays under the constraints of limited data, speaker verification has become a challenging task. The testing and training data are in terms of few seconds in limited data. The feature vectors extracted from single frame size and rate (SFSR) analysis is not sufficient for training and testing speakers in speaker verification. This leads to poor speaker modeling during training and may not provide good decision during testing. The problem is to be resolved by increasing feature vectors of training and testing data to the same duration. For that we are using multiple frame size (MFS), multiple frame rate (MFR), and multiple frame size and rate (MFSR) analysis techniques for speaker verification under limited data condition. These analysis techniques relatively extract more feature vector during training and testing and develop improved modeling and testing for limited data. To demonstrate this we have used mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) and linear prediction cepstral coefficients (LPCC) as feature. Gaussian mixture model (GMM) and GMM-universal background model (GMM-UBM) are used for modeling the speaker. The database used is NIST-2003. The experimental results indicate that, improved performance of MFS, MFR, and MFSR analysis radically better compared with SFSR analysis. The experimental results show that LPCC based MFSR analysis perform better compared to other analysis techniques and feature extraction techniques.

잡음 환경하에서의 다 모델 기반인식기와 다 스타일 학습방법과의 성능비교 (Performance Comparison of Multiple-Model Speech Recognizer with Multi-Style Training Method Under Noisy Environments)

  • Multiple-model speech recognizer has been shown to be quite successful in noisy speech recognition. However, its performance has usually been tested using the general speech front-ends which do not incorporate any noise adaptive algorithms. For the accurate evaluation of the effectiveness of the multiple-model frame in noisy speech recognition, we used the state-of-the-art front-ends and compared its performance with the well-known multi-style training method. In addition, we improved the multiple-model speech recognizer by employing N-best reference HMMs for interpolation and using multiple SNR levels for training each of the reference HMM.

  • A construction site is a highly complex and constantly changing environment, where hazardous areas are difficult to detect if workers lack sufficient knowledge and awareness. Thus, frequent worker safety training is required. Numerous studies on using virtual reality (VR) for safety training were published. While they demonstrate the potential for improving the skills necessary to avoid accidents in the construction industry, they remain difficult to apply at actual construction sites. VR requires specialized hardware and software, limiting workers' access and restricting workers' participation in training sessions. As a result, this paper proposes multiple platforms for immersive virtual reality safety training (VRMP) based on Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and web technologies such as immersive web (WebXR). The VRMP is compatible with mobile and desktop devices currently by workers and demonstrates scenario models familiar to workers. Also, it reduces development time by utilizing Building Information Models (BIM). Additionally, The VRMP collects data from workers in a virtual environment to assess each worker's safety level, assisting workers in effectively and comfortably gaining a better understanding and raising their awareness. This paper develops a case study based on the VRPM in order to assess its effectiveness.

Visual Tracking Using Improved Multiple Instance Learning with Co-training Framework for Moving Robot

  • Object detection and tracking is the basic capability of mobile robots to achieve natural human-robot interaction. In this paper, an object tracking system of mobile robot is designed and validated using improved multiple instance learning algorithm. The improved multiple instance learning algorithm which prevents model drift significantly. Secondly, in order to improve the capability of classifiers, an active sample selection strategy is proposed by optimizing a bag Fisher information function instead of the bag likelihood function, which dynamically chooses most discriminative samples for classifier training. Furthermore, we integrate the co-training criterion into algorithm to update the appearance model accurately and avoid error accumulation. Finally, we evaluate our system on challenging sequences and an indoor environment in a laboratory. And the experiment results demonstrate that the proposed methods can stably and robustly track moving object.

치기공과 재학생의 성별에 따른 임상실습 만족도 조사에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction Level of Clinical Training for Students in the Department of dental technology according to their gender)

  • Purpose: of this survey research was to investigate the satisfaction level of clinical training for 300 students in the department of dental technology. Methods: This survey was carried out from 1th of january to 20th of january and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences 17.0 for Windows. As for the analysis methods, the study used the frequency analysis, percentage, mean, t-test, analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis. Results: The results of multiple regression analysis between the satisfaction level and the related factors indicated that the satisfaction of major and place of clinical training in the clinical training are the major component in the male students and the satisfaction of major and a school record and clinical training experience are the major component that contribute the satisfaction level in the female students. Conclusion: Regular course of training and pre-employment training also recommends to students in the department of dental technology. Faculty and clinical dental technicians should try in order to improve satisfaction level of clinical training.

학군장교 (ROTC) 리더십 향상 방안 연구 (A study on improving leadership of reserve officers' training corps (ROTC))

  • 학군장교 (ROTC)는 대학에 재학 중인 우수 학생들을 선발하여 2년간 군사교육을 실시하고 졸업과 동시에 장교로 임관시켜 군의 초급 지휘자로 활용하는 제도로서 규모나 역할로 봤을 때 우리나라의 군과 사회에서 차지하는 비중이 매우 크다. 따라서 ROTC 출신 초급장교들의 리더십을 향상시켜 우리나라 군의 무형 전투력을 성장시키는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 학군장교 양성교육 프로그램이 학군장교 리더십을 향상시키기 위해 적절한 교육을 제공하고 있는지 파악하고 개선방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 먼저 학군장교 교육 프로그램을 크게 세 분야로 나누어 1, 2차 설문조사를 실시한 뒤, 카이제곱 검정 (chi-square test), 분산분석 (ANOVA), 던컨의 다중검정 (Duncan's multiple range test) 등의 통계분석 방법들을 이용하여 교육프로그램에 직간접적으로 관련된 조사대상자들의 교육에 대한 실태 및 인식을 비교 분석한다. 또한 다중회귀분석 (multiple regression analysis)을 이용하여 학군후보생 리더십의 기본요소인 육군리더의 3대자질 형성에 영향을 미치는 세부요소들을 분석한다.

Effects of Virtual Reality Exercise Program on Balance in Multiple Sclerosis Patients

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to investigate the effectiveness of an 8-week virtual reality exercise program designed around the Nintendo Wii (Wii), in improving balance among patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Methods: The study included 16 patients with MS (10 female, 6 male) who were assigned randomly to experimental (n=8) or control group (n=8). Experimental group performed three 40-minute Wii balance-training sessions per week, for 8 weeks. The control group did not perform any of the training programs. A computerized dynamic posturography (Sensory Organizing Test, SOT) was used to evaluate all patients at baseline and at the end of the treatment protocol. Statistical significance was tested in between the patients before and after treatment by t-test. Results: After 24 training sessions, SOT showed significant difference on condition 5, 6, and vestibular ratios within the experimental group from baseline to post-intervention. By contrast, no significant difference was observed within the control groups. Conclusion: These findings demonstrated that the virtual reality training program could improve the outcomes in terms of balance in the MS population. Long term follow ups and the development of more efficient virtual reality training programs are needed.

헬리콥터 비행 시뮬레이터와 실 비행훈련과의 효과 분석: 계기비행 훈련을 중심으로 (Effectiveness Analysis of Helicopter Flight Simulator and Actual Flight Training: Focused on Instrument Flight Training)

  • To compare and analyze the differences between flight simulation and actual flight among 130 army helicopter pilot training subjects, the correlation analysis was performed first through t-testing and multiple regression analysis of individual characteristics and flight simulation and actual instrument flight training, which were analyzed significantly in the age (a3) and service classification (a5) of the six verification factors. This has been shown to be significant, with no difference between the flight simulator and the actual flight. Second, in order to study the correlation between aircraft types, the flight evaluation (v1) was analyzed as a dependent variable for the performance of the flight simulator (KUH: s2, UH60: s3, AH-1S: s5, UH-1H: s6), and the results of the multiple regression analysis of the flight simulator evaluation (s1) were analyzed, in contrast, as a dependent variable, and in conclusion, the training of the flight simulator provided statistical data on the possibility of replacing the actual flight training, which is thought to contribute to the orientation, budget reduction and aviation safety of the pilot training.
