The mammalian sirtuin family, consisting of SIRT1-SIRT7, plays a vital role in various biological processes, including cancer, diabetes, neurodegeneration, cardiovascular disease, cellular metabolism, and cellular homeostasis maintenance. Due to their involvement in these biological processes, modulating sirtuin activity seems promising to impact immuneand aging-related diseases, as well as cancer pathways. However, more understanding is required regarding the safety and efficacy of sirtuin-targeted therapies due to the complex regulatory mechanisms that govern their activity, particularly in the context of multiple targets. In this study, the interaction landscape of the sirtuin family was analyzed using a systems biology approach. A sirtuin protein-protein interaction network was built using the Cytoscape platform and analyzed using the NetworkAnalyzer and stringApp plugins. The result revealed the sirtuin family's association with numerous proteins that play diverse roles, suggesting a complex interplay between sirtuins and other proteins. Based on network topological and functional analysis, SIRT1 was identified as the most prominent among sirtuin family members, demonstrating that 25 of its protein partners are involved in cancer, 22 in innate immune response, and 29 in aging, with some being linked to a combination of two or more pathways. This study lays the foundation for the development of novel therapies that can target sirtuins with precision and efficacy. By illustrating the various interactions among the proteins in the sirtuin family, we have revealed the multifaceted roles of SIRT1 and provided a framework for their possible roles to be precisely understood, manipulated, and translated into therapeutics in the future.

In recent years, an increasing number of reports have explored the wound healing mechanism of these two traditional Chinese herbal medicines- Panax ginseng and Panax notoginseng, but there is no systematic research on the related core functions and different mechanisms in the treatment of wound healing up to now. Based on network pharmacology and meta-analysis, the present work aimed to comprehensively review the commonality and diversity of P. ginseng and P. notoginseng in wound healing. In this study, a wound healing-related "ingredients-targets" network of two herbs was constructed. Thereafter, meta-analysis of the multiple target lists by Metascape showed that these two medicines significantly regulated blood vessel development, responses to cytokines and growth factors and oxygen levels, cell death, cell proliferation and differentiation, and cell adhesion. To better understand the discrepancy between these two herbs, it was found that common signaling pathways including Rap1, PI3K/AKT, MAPK, HIF-1 and Focal adhesion regulated the functions listed above. In parallel, the different pathways including renin-angiotensin system, RNA transport and circadian rhythm, autophagy, and the different metabolic pathways may also explained the discrepancies in the regulation of the above-mentioned functions, consistent with the Traditional Chinese Medicine theory about the effects of P. ginseng and P. notoginseng.
Background: Panax ginseng Meyer is a representative Chinese herbal medicine with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. 20(S)-Protopanaxadiol (PPD) has been isolated from ginseng and shown to have promising pharmacological activities. However, effects of PDD on pulmonary fibrosis (PF) have not been reported. We hypothesize that PDD may reverse inflammation-induced PF and be a novel therapeutic strategy. Methods: Adult male C57BL/6 mice were used to establish a model of PF induced by bleomycin (BLM). The pulmonary index was measured, and histological and immunohistochemical examinations were made. Cell cultures of mouse alveolar epithelial cells were analyzed with Western blotting, coimmunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, siRNA transfection, cellular thermal shift assay and qRT-PCR. Results: The survival rate of PPD-treated mice was higher than that of untreated BLM-challenged mice. Expression of fibrotic hallmarks, including α-SMA, TGF-β1 and collagen I, was reduced by PPD treatment, indicating attenuation of PF. Mice exposed to BLM had higher STING levels in lung tissue, and this was reduced by phosphorylated AMPK after activation by PPD. The role of phosphorylated AMPK in suppressing STING was confirmed in TGF-b1-incubated cells. Both in vivo and in vitro analyses indicated that PPD treatment attenuated BLM-induced PF by modulating the AMPK/STING signaling pathway. Conclusion: PPD ameliorated BLM-induced PF by multi-target regulation. The current study may help develop new therapeutic strategies for preventing PF.

In recent years, robots have been utilized in various industries to reduce workload and enhance work efficiency. The following mobility offers users convenience by autonomously tracking specific locations and targets without the need for additional equipment such as forklifts or carts. In this paper, deep learning techniques were employed to recognize individuals and assign each of them a unique identifier to enable the recognition of a specific person even among multiple individuals. To achieve this, the distance and angle between the robot and the targeted individual are transmitted to respective controllers. Furthermore, this study explored the control methodology for mobility that tracks a specific person, utilizing Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control techniques. In the PID control method, a genetic algorithm is employed to extract the optimal gain value, subsequently evaluating PID performance through simulation. The SLAM method involves generating a map by synchronizing data from a 2D LiDAR and a depth camera using Real-Time Appearance-Based Mapping (RTAB-MAP). Experiments are conducted to compare and analyze the performance of the two control methods, visualizing the paths of both the human and the following mobility.

With the advancement of autonomous navigation technology in maritime domain, there is an active research on swarming Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) that can fulfill missions with low cost and high efficiency. In this study, we propose a formation control algorithm that maintains a certain shape when multiple unmanned surface vehicles operate in a swarm. In the case of swarming, individual USVs need to be able to accurately follow the target state and avoid collisions with obstacles or other vessels in the swarm. In order to generate guidance commands for swarm formation control, the potential field method has been a major focus of swarm control research, but the method using the potential field only uses the position information of obstacles or other ships, so it cannot effectively respond to moving targets and obstacles. In situations such as the formation change of a swarm of ships, the formation control is performed in a dense environment, so the position and velocity information of the target and nearby obstacles must be considered to effectively change the formation. In order to overcome these limitations, this paper applies a method that considers relative velocity to the potential field-based guidance law to improve target following and collision avoidance performance. Considering the relative velocity of the moving target, the potential field for nearby obstacles is newly defined by utilizing the concept of Velocity Obstacle (VO), and the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method is verified through swarm control simulation, and swarm control experiments using a small scaled unmanned surface vehicle platform.
Over the past few decades, new psychoactive substances (NPS) have become prevailing. With the widespread emergence of NPS, phenethylamines (PEAs) have become one of the groups abused most which PEAs, along with other stimulants, make up the majority of stimulants. When determining the NPS, the methods for screening and confirmation are crucial which assesses the reliability of testimony. In this study, a set of GC/MS methods employing two derivatizing agents for determining 76 target PEAs in urine was established and further applied for authentic sample analysis. Five PEAs (N,N-DMA, PMMA, 4-CA, amphetamine, and methamphetamine) with contents over their LLOQs were detected in thirteen of the twenty tested samples. In order to compare the result from the GC/MS methods with the previously established LC-MS/MS method, Cohen's kappa coefficient and McNemar's test were applied for statistical analysis. Perfect agreement between GC/MS and LC-MS/MS techniques for determining target PEAs is demonstrated by the Kappa coefficient for each of the five detected targets.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of job stress on Organizational commitment and turnover intent with targets of Employees of Security Industry. A total of 156 answered questionnaires were used as final data. The following conclusions were obtained by conducting correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 statistical program. First, it is found that Organizational commitment effects some sub-factors of job stress such as inappropriate compensation, insufficient job control and job requirements. Second, it is found that turnover intent affects some sub-factors of job stress such as inappropriate compensation, insufficient job control and job requirements. Third, it is found that turnover intent affects Organizational commitment. Based on the result of the research, job stress seems to affect organizational commitment and people's decisions to change jobs. The two variables job stress and organizational commitment act as key factors in deciding whether to change jobs, while organizational commitment plays as an important parameter. In other words, there should be principles to do work along with channels through which workers communicate with each other. To this end, there need to be programs educating people to work together as well as systematic assistance and support to encourage people to develop their expertise.
This paper presents the design of network vulnerability analysis system which can integrate various vulnerability assessment tools to improve the preciseness of the vulnerability scan result. Manual checking method performed by a security expert is the most precise and safe way. But this is not appropriate for the large-scale network which has a lot of systems and network devices. Therefore automatic scanning tool is recommended for fast and convenient use. The scanning targets may be different according to the kind of vulnerability scanners, or otherwise even for the same scanning target, the scanning items and the scanning results may be different by each vulnerability scanner, Accordingly, there are the cases in which various scanners, instead of a single scanner, are simultaneously utilized with the purpose of complementing each other. However, in the case of simultaneously utilizing various scanners on the large-scale network, the integrative analysis and relevance analysis on vulnerability information by a security manager becomes time-consumable or impossible. The network vulnerability analysis system suggested in this paper provides interface which allows various vulnerability assessment tools to easily be integrated, common policy which can be applied for various tools at the same time, and automated integrative process.
