  • We investigate the existence of multiple solutions (${\xi},{\eta}$) for perturbations of the parabolic system with Dirichlet boundary condition $$(0.1)\;\begin{array}{lcr}{\xi}_t=-L{\xi}+g_1(3{\xi}+{\eta})-s{\phi}_1-h_1(x,t)\;in\;{\Omega}{\times}(0,\;2{\pi}),\\{\eta}_t=-L{\eta}+g_2(3{\xi}+{\eta})-s{\phi}_1-h_2(x,t)\;in\;{\Omega}{\times}(0,\;2{\pi}).\end{array}$$ We show the existence of multiple solutions (${\xi},{\eta}$) for perturbations of the parabolic system when the nonlinearity $g^{\prime}_1,\;g^{\prime}_2$ are bounded and $3g^{\prime}_1(-{\infty})+g^{\prime}_2(-{\infty})<{\lambda}_1,\;{\lambda}_n<3g^{\prime}_1(+{\infty})+g^{\prime}_2(+{\infty})<{\lambda}_{n+1}$.

  • Typical security solutions such as intrusion detection system are not suitable for detecting advanced persistent attack(APT), because they cannot draw the big picture from trivial events of security solutions. Researches on techniques for detecting multiple stage attacks by analyzing the correlations between security events or alerts are being actively conducted in academic field. However, these studies still use events from existing security system, and there is insufficient research on the structure of the entire security system suitable for advanced persistent attacks. In this paper, we propose an attack path and intention recognition system suitable for multiple stage attacks like advanced persistent attack detection. The proposed system defines the trace format and overall structure of the system that detects APT attacks based on the correlation and behavior analysis, and is designed with a structure of detection system using deep learning and big data technology, etc.

  • This study presents nonlinear vibration of a cantilever beam subjected to electromagnetic forces. The dynamic responses of the beam show various nonlinear phenomena with the variation of the system parameters, such as the jump phenomenon, multiple solutions, and the movement of the natural frequency. In this study the nonlinear stiffness due to electromagnetic forces which depends on air gap size is measured experimentally, and the system is modeled by a single degree of freedom nonlinear dynamic system and solutions are solved numerically. The numerical results show good agreements with the experimental results, which demonstrate the nonlinearity of electromagnetic force. Finally the occurrences of the jump phenomenon and the first, second and fourth harmonic components are confirmed in using the method of multiple scales.

  • This paper presents a novel and efficient method to calculate the critical point of voltage collapse. Conjugate gradient and modified Newton-Raphson methods are employed to calculate two pairs of multiple load flow solutions for two operating conditions, i.e., both +mode and -mode voltages for two loading conditions respectively. Then these four voltage magnitude-load data sets of the bus which is most susceptible to voltage collapse, are fitted to third order polynomial using Lagrangian interpolation in order to represent approximate nose curve (P-V curve). This nose curve locates first estimate of the critical point of voltage collapse. The procedure described above is repeated near the critical point and the new estimate will be very close to the critical point. The proposed method is tested for the eleven bus Klos-Kerner system, with good accuracy and fast computation time.

  • In this work, the silver nanoparticles have been synthesized by electrical explosion of wire in three liquid mediums: deionized water (DIW), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) solutions. Absorption in the UV-visible region of these suspensions was measured in the range of 300-800 nm. A surface plasmon peak was observed at ~400 nm in all suspensions in measured wavelength range. Particle size was analyzed by transmission electron microscope. It showed that the particles had nearly spherical shape in all samples. The average particle sizes prepared in DIW, PVP and SDBS solution were 37, 31 and 27 nm, respectively. Stability of the suspensions was estimated by multiple light scattering method. The presence of PVP and SDBS surfactants in the exploding medium resulted in enhanced stability of the silver suspensions.

  • In [8] they introduced a new finite element method for accurate numerical solutions of Poisson equations with corner singularities. They consider the Poisson equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition with one corner singularity at the origin, and compute the finite element solution using standard FEM and use the extraction formula to compute the stress intensity factor, then pose a PDE with a regular solution by imposing the nonhomogeneous boundary condition using the computed stress intensity factor, which converges with optimal speed. From the solution they could get an accurate solution just by adding the singular part. This approach uses the polar coordinate and the cut-off function to control the singularity and the boundary condition. In this paper we consider Poisson equations with multiple singular points, which involves different cut-off functions which might overlaps together and shows the way of cording in FreeFEM++ to control the singular functions and cut-off functions with numerical experiments.

  • This paper presents a process plan selection model with multiple objectives. The process plans for all parts should be selected under multiple objective environment as follows: (1) minimizing the sum of machine processing and material handling time of all the parts considering realistic shop factors such as production volume, processing time, machine capacity, and capacity of transfer device. (2) balancing the load between machines. A multiple objective mathematical model is proposed and an evolutionary algorithm with the adaptive recombination strategy is developed to solve the model. To illustrate the efficiency of proposed approach, numerical examples are presented. The proposed approach is found to be effective in offering a set of satisfactory Pareto solutions within a satisfactory CPU time in a multiple objective environment.

  • Wireless power transfer (WPT) efficiencies for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are formulated with a goal of achieving their maximums using Z matrices. The maximum efficiencies for any arbitrarily given configurations are obtained using optimum loads, which can be determined numerically through adequate optimization procedures in general. For some simpler special cases (single-input single-output, single-input multiple-output, and multiple-input single-output) of the MIMO systems, the efficiencies and optimum loads to maximize them can be obtained using closed-form expressions. These closed-form solutions give us more physical insight into the given WPT problem. These efficiencies are evaluated theoretically based on the presented formulation and also verified with comparisons with circuit- and EM-simulation results. They are shown to lead to a good agreement. This work may be useful for construction of the wireless Internet of Things, especially employed with energy autonomy.

  • In this paper we reconsider the problem of steady mixed convection boundary-layer flow over a vertical flat plate studied in [6],[7] and [13]. Under favorable assumptions, we prove existence of multiple similarity solutions, we study also their asymptotic behavior. Numerical solutions are carried out using a shooting integration scheme.
