Nowadays, multimedia and Hypermedia become hot topics in information industry. Due to high capacity of media storage and fast communication network, it is possible to exchange text data as well as image, moving picture and voice. Especially to apply hypermedia under CALS standard environment, the relation between international standard and CALS standard needs to be considered. This study introduces conceptual background and processing model of HyTime (Hypermedia Time-based Structuring Language) which is a specification of hypermedia exchange, Hyper ODA (Hyper Open Document Architecture) which is a major multimedia communication basis, MMCF (Multimedia Communication Forum), AHM(Amsterdam Hypermedia Model), and DSRM(DAVIC System Reference Model) reference model which helps determination of hypermedia communication specification Although they are international standard, provisional standard or non-standard, it discusses the Possibility of adopting them as CALS standard. Hence, this paper chooses the best recommend for CALS among these models.

RTP payload must be encrypted for providing commercial VOD service or private video conference over the Internet. Encryption/decryption delay is minimized because there are constraints in transporting a multimedia data through the Internet. Therefore, encryption algorithm is changed with considering network traffic md load. During many users participate in the same multimedia service, an user who already left the service can receive and decrypt the RTP payload because of knowing the encryption key. In this paper, Security Control Protocol for RTP is designed and implemented for changing the encryption algorithm and the key.

For the remarkable enhancement of high-speed rail passenger services, a system which provides various multimedia contents and Internet search functions was designed. The system gets inputs from a passenger and displays various multimedia contents on the touch sensitive LCD panel attached on a passenger seat. This kind of service is new in Korea and not easy to find in other countries, either. In this paper, we presented a design of a system which provides not only one-way broadcasting services but also searching capability of various information interactively. Informations to be provided are train schedule, transfer information, tour information, E-books, movies, music, ets. Successful completion of the system development in the following years is expected to strengthen international competitiveness of Korean railway industry.

Recently, there are many research interests in providing efficient, temporal and spatial distribution multimedia streaming service. This paper proposed a temporal and spatial object grouping method for distribution multimedia streaming service. The proposed method performs the grouping structure by filtering and mapping with the collected frame object in application domains and it's peformed by JM relationship with the mapped frame objects. The results show that the performance provides the better than the other methods.

This study discovered the effects of strategic learning and network building on a company's environmental management performance. According to the results, the environmental awareness of the company and competition threats within the industry did not significantly affect the establishment of environmental strategy, whereas the consumer's sensitivity to the environment and the environmental regulation of the government did. The environmental awareness of the company and the consumer's sensitivity to the environment were found to greatly impact a company's network building. which is closely related with the utilization of multimedia system and technology. In addition, it was found that the establishment of corporate environmental strategy had a significant effect on network building and strategic learning, but network building did not significantly affect strategic learning, indicating a difference. Finally, corporate strategic learning affected environmental management performance, suggesting an importance in accumulating strategic learning capabilities to increase environmental management performance.

Lately, development of multimedia industry has multimedia data serviced through various wire wireless communicating environment. These multimedia data is displayed on the device of various sizes such as mobile telephone, PDA, notebook, PC. Therefore, there has needed to resize multimedia data appropriate to the screen size of user's display device. In this paper, we propose the method to resizing H.264 videos sequence fitting to the screen size of user's display device. The existing most methods reduce the size of video sequence, but this paper proposes the upsampling method. The results show the proposed method upsamples video sequences without blocking effects.

Nowadays, as the quantity of multimedia information increases rapidly, an efficient management for multimedia has become more important. In this paper, to index and search multimedia contents efficiently, we designed the algorithm searching specific image and saving the extracted image using the semantic information extraction scheme based on contents and it is one of the schemes to indexing and searching of video data. After extracting the RGB information from input image, while all frames of video is inspected sequentially, the specific image is saved through referring to the position and distribution of contents from the collection scheme of RGB range. In case of using the proposed image extraction algorithm, because only saved video is searched instead of the whole the searching time can be reduced.
