다차원 유동의 정확한 수치해석 : 다차원 고차 내삽 기법 (Accurate Computations for Multi-dimensional Flows : Multi-dimensional Higher order Interpolation Scheme)

  • The new multi-dimensional higher order interpolation scheme called MHIS is developed. Firstly, multi-dimensional TVD condition is derived based on one-dimensional TVD condition. Using multi-dimensional TVD condition, 2nd, 3rd and 5th order MHIS are presented. By help of multi-dimensional TVD condition, it is possible to captured a discontinuity monotonically even in a multi-dimensional flow. It is verified through several test cases that the accuracy and the robustness of MHIS are enhanced in regions of shock discontinuities as well as boundary-layers.

A Multi-Dimensional Radio Resource Scheduling Scheme for MIMO-OFDM Wireless Systems

  • Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technologies provide additional dimensions of freedom with spectral and spatial resources for radio resource management. Multi-dimensional radio resource management has recently been identified to exploit the full dimensions of freedom for more flexible and efficient utilization of scarce radio spectrum while provide diverse quality of service (QoS) guarantees. In this work, a multi-dimensional radio resource scheduling scheme is proposed to achieve above goals in hybrid orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) and space division multiple access (SDMA) systems. Cochannel interference (CCI) introduced by frequency reuse under SDMA is eliminated by frequency division and time division between highly interfered users. This scheme maximizes system throughput subjected to the minimum data rate guarantee. for heterogeneous users and transmit power constraint. By numerical examples, system throughput and fairness superiority of the our scheduling scheme are verified.

다차원 경로격자지도를 이용한 주차 경로계획 알고리즘 (Path Planning for Parking using Multi-dimensional Path Grid Map)

  • Recent studies on automatic parking have actively adopted the technology developed for mobile robots. Among them, the path planning scheme plans a route for a vehicle to reach a target parking position while satisfying the kinematic constraints of the vehicle. However, previous methods require a large amount of computation and/or cannot be easily applied to different environmental conditions. Therefore, there is a need for a path planning scheme that is fast, efficient, and versatile. In this study, we use a multi-dimensional path grid map to solve the above problem. This multi-dimensional path grid map contains a route which has taken a vehicle's kinematic constraints into account; it can be used with the $A^*$ algorithm to plan an efficient path. The proposed method was verified using Prescan which is a simulation program based on MATLAB. It is shown that the proposed scheme can successfully be applied to both parallel and vertical parking in an efficient manner.

  • Recently, the research on database outsourcing has been actively done with the popularity of cloud computing. However, because users' data may contain sensitive personal information, such as health, financial and location information, the data encryption methods have attracted much interest. Existing data encryption schemes process a query without decrypting the encrypted databases in order to support user privacy protection. On the other hand, to efficiently handle the large amount of data in cloud computing, it is necessary to study the distributed index structure. However, existing index structure and query processing algorithms have a limitation that they only consider single-column query processing. In this paper, we propose a grid-based multi column indexing scheme and an encrypted query processing algorithm. In order to support multi-column query processing, the multi-dimensional index keys are generated by using a space decomposition method, i.e. grid index. To support encrypted query processing over encrypted data, we adopt the Hilbert curve when generating a index key. Finally, we prove that the proposed scheme is more efficient than existing scheme for processing the exact and range query.

다층-대수층 시스템의 지하수 해석 (An Analysis of Groundwater Flow in the Multi-aquifer System)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 누수대수층으로 분리된 다층-대수층에 대한 지하수 해석이다. Crank-Nicolson방법에 의한 유한차분법을 적용하여 1차원이며 정상상태인 2중 대수층 구조에 대해 해석해와 비교하였다. 수치해와 해석해는 거의 일치하였으므로 수치해를 2차원의 확장된 다층-대수층 구조에 적용하였다. 이는 한 개 또는 여러 개의 대수층에서 양수하는 경우에 각 대수층에서의 수두값을 계산할 수 있게 하였다. 본 연구는 지하수의 효율적인 운영에 도움이 될 것이다.

Analytical Study of the Impact of the Mobility Node on the Multi-channel MAC Coordination Scheme of the IEEE 1609.4 Standard

  • The most challenging issues in the multi-channel MAC of the IEEE 1609.4 standard is how to handle the dynamic vehicular traffic condition with a high mobility, dynamic topology, and a trajectory change. Therefore, dynamic channel coordination schemes between CCH and SCH are required to provide the proper bandwidth for CCH/SCH intervals and to improve the quality of service (QoS). In this paper, we use a Markov model to optimize the interval based on the dynamic vehicular traffic condition with high mobility nodes in the multi-channel MAC of the IEEE 1609.4 standard. We evaluate the performance of the three-dimensional Markov chain based on the Poisson distribution for the node distribution and velocity. We also evaluate the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) effect for the multi-channel MAC coordination scheme of the IEEE 1609.4 standard. The result of simulation proves that the performance of the dynamic channel coordination scheme is affected by the high node mobility and the AWGN. In this research, we evaluate the model analytically for the average delay on CCHs and SCHs and also the saturated throughput on SCHs.

  • A simple method is proposed to split the flux vector of the Euler equations by introducing two artificial wave speeds. The direction of wave propagation can be adjusted by these two wave speeds. This idea greatly simplifies the upwinding, and leads to a new family of upwind schemes. Numerical flux function for multi-dimensional Euler equations is formulated for any grid system, structured or unstructured. A remarkable simplicity of the scheme is that it successfully achieves one-sided approximation for all waves without recourse to any matrix operation. Moreover, its accuracy is comparable with the exact Riemann solver. For 1-D Euler equations, the scheme actually surpasses the exact solver in avoiding expansion shocks without any additional entropy fix. The scheme can exactly resolve stationary contact discontinuities, and it is also freed of the carbuncle problem in multi­dimensional computations.

Time-Discretization of Nonlinear Systems with Delayed Multi-Input Using Taylor Series

  • This study proposes a new scheme for the sampled-data representation of nonlinear systems with time-delayed multi-input. The proposed scheme is based on the Taylor-series expansion and zero-order hold assumption. The mathematical structure of a new discretization scheme is explored. On the basis of this structure, the sampled-data representation of nonlinear systems including time-delay is derived. The new scheme is applied to nonlinear systems with two inputs and then the delayed multi-input general equation is derived. The resulting time-discretization provides a finite-dimensional representation of nonlinear control systems with time-delay enabling existing controller design techniques to be applied to them. In order to evaluate the tracking performance of the proposed scheme, an algorithm is tested for some of the examples including maneuvering of an automobile and a 2-DOF mechanical system.

3차원 미니밴 형상 주위의 비압축성 점성 유동 해석 (Incompressible Viscous Flow Analysis Around a Three Dimensional Minivan-Like Body)

  • The flow field around a three dimensional minivan-like body has been simulated. This study solves 3-D unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on a non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system using second-order accurate schemes for the time derivatives, and third/second-order scheme for the spatial derivatives. The Marker-and-Cell concept is applied to efficiently solve continuity equation. A H-H type of multi-block grid system is generated around a three dimensional minivan-like body. Turbulent flows have been modeled by the Baldwin-Lomax turbulent model. To validate present procedure, the flows around the Ahmed body with 12.5° of slant angle are simulated. A good agreement with other numerical results is achived. After code validation, the flows around a mimivan-like body are simulated. The simulation shows three dimensional vortex-pair just behind body. The flow separation is also observed on the rear of the body. It has concluded that the results of present study properly agreed with physical flow phenomena.

  • 릴레이 시스템은 커버리지 확장과 셀 경계(Cell-Edge)의 시스템 처리량 향상을 목적으로 4세대 이동통신 시스템에 적용되어 왔다. 릴레이 시스템은 커버리지 확장과 시스템 처리량 증대에 효과적이지만 기존 단일 홉 시스템과 달리 추가 자원을 사용하기 때문에 릴레이 시스템에 특화된 경로선택 및 무선자원 할당 알고리즘의 적용을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 협력 통신을 이용하는 LTE-Advanced 릴레이 시스템을 위한 통합 경로선택 및 자원할당 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 라그랑지 승수 기반의 휴리스틱 알고리즘으로, 다중차원 다중선택 배낭 문제(Multi-dimensional Multi-choice Knapsack Problem)의 형태로 정의된 협력 통신 기반의 LTE-Advanced 릴레이 시스템 하향링크 처리율 최대화 문제의 근사 해를 구한다. 제안된 기법에 의해 도출된 근사 해의 성능이 최적 해의 성능에 충분히 근접할 수 있음을 시뮬레이션을 통해 보인다.
