실리콘 웨이퍼 표면의 saw mark 밀도에 따른 피라미드 구조의 영향 (Effect on the Pyramid Structure with Saw Mark Density of Silicon Wafer Surface)

  • Surface texturing is affected the uniformity and size of pyramid with saw mark defect density. To analysis the influence of the saw mark defect density, we textured various si wafer. When the texturing process proceeds without the saw mark removal, silicon wafer of low-saw mark defect density showed small pyramid size of $3.5{\mu}m$ with the lowest average value of the reflectance of 10.6%. When texturing carried out after removal of the saw mark using the TMAH solution, we obtained a reflectance of about 11% and the large pyramid size of $5{\mu}m$. As a result, saw mark wafers showed a better pyramid structure than saw mark-free wafer. This result showed that saw mark can take place more smooth etching by the KOH solution and saw mark-free wafer is determined to be a factor that have a higher reflectance and a large pyramid.

Acid Treatments of Carbon Nanotubes and Their Application as Pt-Ru/CNT Anode Catalysts for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

  • Different oxidation treatments on CNTs using diluted 4.0 M $H_2SO_4$ solution at room temperature and or at $90^{\circ}C$ reflux conditions were investigated to elucidate the physical and chemical changes occurring on the treated CNTs, which might have significant effects on their performance as catalyst supports in PEM fuel cells. Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope analyses were made for the acid treated CNTs to determine the particle size and distribution of the CNT-supported Pt-Ru nanoparticles. These CNT-supported Pt-based nanoparticles were then employed as anode catalysts in PEMFC to investigate their catalytic activity and single-cell performance towards $H_2$ oxidation. Based on PEMFC performance results, refluxed Pt-Ru/CNT catalysts prepared using CNTs treated at $90^{\circ}C$ for 0.5 h as anode have shown better catalytic activity and PEMFC polarization performance than those of the commercially available Pt-Ru/C catalyst from ETEK and other Pt-Ru/CNT catalysts developed using raw CNT, thus demonstrating the importance of acid treatment in improving and optimizing the surface properties of catalyst support.

  • 산화아연 (ZnO)으로 대표되는 산화물반도체는 최근 다양한 비정질 산화물반도체들이 개발되고 있고 높은 이동도와 저온공정 등의 장점으로, 실리콘 기반 박막소자 (비정질-Si, 또는 다결정-Si(LTPS) 트랜지스터)를 대체할 차세대 박막 트랜지스터 (Thin-Film Transistor)의 핵심소재로 관심을 모으고 있다. 또한, 산화물 반도체는 근본적으로 투명하므로, 투명 전극 및 투명 기판재료와 함께 투명 디스플레이도 구현시킬 수 있을 것이다. 그렇지만, 핵심 전자소재로서 향후 디스플레이 및 디바이스에 성공적으로 적용되기 위해서는 소자의 특성 뿐만아니라, 전기적 신뢰성(reliability)을 강화시킬 필요가 있다. 본 발표에서는 In-Ga-Zn-oxide (IGZO), Zn-Sn-oxide (ZTO), Zn-In-Sn-oxide (ZITO) 및 도핑원소를 첨가한 소재에 이르기까지 다양한 산화물 반도체 소재 기술과 소자의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 기술 등을 소개할 것이다.

  • 산화물 반도체를 이용한 TFT는 비교적 우수한 특성과 더불어 간단한 구조와 공정으로 양산성 확보에 유리한 측면 때문에 많은 주목을 받고 있다. TFT-LCD의 경우에는 기존에 사용되고 있는 a-Si;H TFT에 비하여 10배이상 우수한 이동도를 가진 산화물 TFT를 이용하여 고속동작 패널을 구현할 수 있을 것으로 보이며, AMOLED의 경우에는 poly-Si TFT에 비하여 대면적 공정에서 유리한 측면이 있을 수 있다. 이러한 산화물 반도체 TFT를 상용 디스플레이 패널에 적용하기 위해서는 소자 안정성을 좀더 확보해야 하는 숙제가 남아있다. 한편, 산화물 반도체 TFT는 가시광선 영역에서 투명한 특성이 가지고 있기 때문에 이를 이용하여 투명 디스플레이(투명 AMOLED)를 개발하는 경우 투과도를 크게 증가시킬 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 기존의 투명 디스플레이는 주로 투사방법을 이용하여 구현되었지만, 최근 AMOLED를 이용한 투명 디스플레이 시제품이 시연되고 있다. 투명한 AMOLED를 구성하기 위해서는 OLED뿐만 아니라 백플레인에서의 투과도 증대를 위하여 해결해야할 여러 가지 문제가 발생하게 된다. 본 발표에서는 산화물 TFT에서의 최근 이슈에 대해 살펴보고, 투명 디스플레이에의 적용에 있어서 해결해야 할 문제점에 대해서도 살펴보고자 한다.

Study of the flow around a cylinder from the subcritical to supercritical regimes

  • The objective of the present simulations is to evaluate the applicability of the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model in engineering practice in the subcritical to supercritical flow regimes. Two-dimensional numerical simulations of flow around a circular cylinder at $Re=1{\times}10^5$, $5{\times}10^5$ and $1{\times}10^6$, had been performed using Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes (URANS) equations with the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. Solution verification had been studied by evaluating grid and time step size convergence. For each Reynolds number, several meshes with different grid and time step size resolutions were chosen to calculate the hydrodynamic quantities such as the time-averaged drag coefficient, root-mean square value of lift coefficient, Strouhal number, the coefficient of pressure on the downstream point of the cylinder, the separation angle. By comparing the values of these quantities of adjacent grid or time step size resolutions, convergence study has been performed. Solution validation is obtained by comparing the converged results with published numerical and experimental data. The deviations of the values of present simulated quantities from those corresponding experimental data become smaller as Reynolds numbers increases from $1{\times}10^5$ to $1{\times}10^6$. This may show that the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ model with enhanced wall treatment appears to be applicable for higher Reynolds number turbulence flow.

차량용 전자식 솔레노이드 밸브 필터간의 유동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flow Characteristics about Valve Filter for Electronic System Solenoid Structure)

  • 향후 제작 될 솔레노이드 구조의 방향을 제시하고자 실험 및 유동 특성에 대한 비교 분석 연구가 진행 되어졌다. 실험값과 해석값의 비교 분석은 ANSYS CFD와 전자식 측정 기구를 이용하여 수행하였다. 구조의 3D 모델링은 CATIA V5R18을 이용하였으며, 유동구간의 격자 생성은 ICEM CFD 프로그램을 사용하였다. 유동해석 분석은 수치해석 프로그램인 ANSYS CFD를 이용하여 실험값에 대한 검증이 진행되었다. 실험값을 통해 정밀 필터구간에서 나타난 유량은 $0-10{\ell}/min$ 으로 나타났으며 유동해석결과 최대 $0.18{\ell}/min$로 나타났다. 유동 해석 결과와 실험값의 비교분석을 통해 유동환경에 보다 효율적인 솔레노이드 구조를 제시 할 수 있었다.

  • Graphene-based materials have been gaining the unprecedented academic and industrial applications, due to the unique charge transport as a new kind of 2-dimensional materials. The applications incorporate electronic devices, nonvolatile memories, batteries, chemical sensors, etc. based on the electrical, mechanical, structural, optical, and chemical features newly reported. The current work employs thermal chemical vapor deposition involving H2 and CH4, in order to synthesize the 2-dimensional graphene materials. The qualitative/quantitative characterizations of the synthesized graphene materials are evaluated using Raman spectroscopy and Hall Measurements, In particular, the effect of processing variables is systematically investigated on the formation of graphene materials through statistical design of experiments. The optimized graphene materials will be attempted towards the potential applications to flat-panel displays.

불면을 호소하는 Lewy's body dementia 환자 치험 1례 (A Case Report of a Patient with Lewy's Body Dementia and Insomnia Treated with Korean Medicine)

  • The patient was a 69-year-old Korean male with Lewy's body dementia and insomnia. He was treated with acupuncture and a herbal medicine, Ukan-san. To evaluate insomnia, the patient's total sleeping time was recorded. The patient's sleeping time increased after the administration of the Korean medicine treatments. Treatment with Korean medicine may be effective in treating insomnia in cases of Lewy's body dementia.

  • The case of a 73-year-old Korean female with dysgeusia due to an acute left thalamic infarction is presented. The patient was treated with the herbal medicine Yanggyuksanhwa-tang, in addition to acupuncture and electronic acupuncture treatment. The filter-paper test and Oral Health Impact Profile-14, (OHIP-14) test were administered to evaluate dysgeusia. Post-treatment, the patient's dysgeusia improved. Korean medicine may be an effective treatment for dysgeusia caused by a thalamic infarction.

기어 소음 품질 안정화를 위한 전달오차 측정 시스템 개발 및 전달오차 스펙 개발에 대한 연구 (A Research for the Development of the Transmission Error Measuring System and Transmission Error Specification for the Gear Noise Quality)

  • In the past, transmission error(T.E.) has been identified as one of the main sources of gear whine noise, which cause serious passengers irritation at high frequency. In this study, to identify the correlation of the T.E. and gear whine noise, a T.E. measuring system was developed. By comparing the T.E. and gear whine noise level, T.E. target value which can represent the gear noise was proposed. The conclusions are followed: (I) It is possible to measure T.E. of the gear pairs (II) Similar trends are observed between T.E. and gear whine noise. (III) By observing the T.E. pattern, presence of sideband noise can be predicted. (IV) Proposed T.E. target value can be adopted to the gear manufacturing for gear noise quality management.
