  • In this paper, we prove existence of infinitely many positive and concave solutions, by means of a simple approach, to $3^{th}$ order three-point singular boundary value problem {$x^{\prime\prime\prime}(t)=\alpha(t)f(t,x(t))$, 0 < t < 1, $x(0)=x'(\eta)=x^{\prime\prime}(1)=0$, (1/2 < $\eta$ < 1). Moreover with respect to multiplicity of solutions, we don't assume any monotonicity on the nonlinearity. We rely on a combination of the analysis of the corresponding vector field on the phase-space along with Knesser's type properties of the solutions funnel and the well-known Krasnosel'ski$\breve{i}$'s fixed point theorem. The later is applied on a new very simple cone K, just on the plane $R^2$. These extensions justify the efficiency of our new approach compared to the commonly used one, where the cone $K\;{\subset}\;C$ ([0, 1], $\mathbb{R}$) and the existence of a positive Green's function is a necessity.

  • An optimal multiuser detection algorithm with a computational complexity of O(K log K) is proposed for the class of linear multiple-access systems which have constant cross-correlation values. Here the optimal multiuser detection is implemented by searching for a monotone sequence with maximum likelihood, under the ranking of sufficient statistics. The proposed algorithm is intuitive and concise. It is carried out in just two steps, and at each step only one kind of operation is performed. Also, the proposed algorithm can be extended to more complex systems having more than a single cross-correlation value.

  • Non-additive measures and their corresponding Choquet integrals are very useful tools which are used in both insurance and financial markets. In both markets, it is important to update prices to account for additional information. The update price is represented by the Choquet integral with respect to the conditioned non-additive measure. In this paper, we consider a price functional H on interval-valued risks defined by interval-valued Choquet integral with respect to a non-additive measure. In particular, we prove that if an interval-valued pricing functional H satisfies the properties of monotonicity, comonotonic additivity, and continuity, then there exists an two non-additive measures ${\mu}1,\;{\mu}2$ such that it is represented by interval-valued choquet integral on interval-valued risks.

  • An induced hesitant linguistic aggregation operator is investigated in the paper, in which, hesitant fuzzy linguistic evaluation values are associated with probabilistic information. To deal with these hesitant fuzzy linguistic information, an induced hesitant fuzzy linguistic probabilistic ordered weighted averaging (IHFLPOWA) operator is proposed, monotonicity, boundary and idempotency of IHFLPOWA are proved. Then andness, orness and the entropy of dispersion of IHFLPOWA are analyzed, which are used to characterize the weighting vector of the operator, these properties show that IHFLPOWA is extensions of the induced linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator and linguistic probabilistic aggregation operator. In this paper, IHFLPOWA is utilized to gather linguistic information and create fuzzy ontologies, and a movie fuzzy ontology as an illustrative case study is used to show the elaboration of the proposed method and comparison with the existing linguistic aggregation operators, it seems that the IHFLPOWA operator is an useful and alternative operator for dealing with hesitant fuzzy linguistic information with probabilistic information.
