The one and two pair of oxide modules for high temperature thermoelectric power generation were fabricated with $Ca_{2.7}Bi_{0.3}Co_4O_9$(p-type) and $Ca_{0.96}Bi_{0.04}Mn_{0.96}Nb_{0.04}O_3$(n-type) on $Al_2O_3$ substrate. For the optimizing of the design process, contact resistance was derived from the results of the one pair modules, and then the resistance of two pair modules were calculated to use the derived data. Those values were compared with the measured values for the optimizing of this design process. The resistance of calculated and measured two pairs modules was 0.956 $\Omega$ and 1.110 Q $\Omega$$T_h$=833 K, respectively, the difference of resistance was about 0.15 $\Omega$. From the result, proposed design process is effective for high temperature thermoelectric oxide modules fabrication.

A polymer-based carbon nanomaterial composite was fabricated and characterized for the application of a thermal conductive adhesive. Low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials with excellent thermal conductivity such as carbon nanotube (CNT) and graphene were selected as a filler in the composite. Thermal, electrical and adhesive properties of the composite were investigated with respect to the morphology and content of the low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials. As a result, the composite-based adhesive fabricated by the loading of surface-treated MWCNTs of 0.4 wt% showed uniform dispersion, moderate adhesion and effective heat dissipation properties. Finally, it was confirmed through the thermal image analysis of LED module that the temperature reduction of 10℃ was achieved using the fabricated composite adhesive with MWCNT-6A. Expecially, heat dissipation performance of the optimized composite adhesive was evident at the hot spot in the module compared to other samples mixed with graphene or different MWCNT loading ratios.

Electrostatic spray pyrolysis, a novel fabrication technique, has been used in this study to prepare calcium phosphate nano powders. Final annealing was done at $400^{\circ}C$ for 30min in air. The hydroxyapatite - forming ability of the annealed powder has been evaluated in Eagle's minimum essential medium solution (MEM). X-ray diffraction analysis, field emission - scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscope were used to characterized the annealed powders after immersion in MEM. The powder with an amorphous structure induced hydroxyapatite formation on their surfaces after immersion fer 15 days.
Using a multi-array needle module developed for coating of high-density cylindrical microlens array (C-MLA), we have fabricated an anti-Moiré filter for LED screens. The Moiré phenomenon appears due to the interference between the array pattern of image sensors in a camera and the non-emission area (grid pattern) of a LED screen. To suppress it, we have employed poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and coated it on a glass substrate in the form of a grid and non-grid (parallel lines). We have rotated the needle module in order to increase the number of C-MLAs. With this scheme, we have fabricated the 150 mm × 150 mm anti-Moiré filters where 836 microlens lines are formed. They show the average width of 255.4 ㎛, the average distance between CMLs of 94.6 ㎛, and C-MLA width non-uniformity of 4.7%. We have shown that the Moiré patterns still appear in the presence of the parallel (non-grid)-type filter, whereas they disappeared completely by the grid-type filter. It is due to the fact that the Moiré patterns are diffused more effectively by the grid-type C-MLA.

For the purpose of Application to the small radar sensor, the MMIC Chips, which are the core component of the W-band, was designed in Korea according to the characteristics of the transceiver and manufactured by 60nm GaN and 0.1㎛ GaAs pHEMT process. The output power of PA is 28 dBm at center frequency of W-band and Noise figure is 6.7 dB of switch and LNA MMIC. Output power and Noise figure of MMIC chips developed in domestic was applied to the transmitter and receiver module through W-band waveguide low loss transition structure design and impedance matching to verify the performance after the fabrication are 26.1~27.7 dBm and 7.85~10.57 dB including thermal testing, and which are close to the analysis result. As a result, these are judged that the PA and Switch and LNA MMICs can be applied to the small radar sensor.

In this paper, a design and fabrication of a miniaturized 2.5 GHz 8 W power amplifier using selectively anodized aluminum oxide(SAAO) substrate are presented. The process of SAAO substrate is recently proposed and patented by Wavenics Inc. which uses aluminum as wafer. The selected active device is a commercially available GaN HEMT chip of TriQuint company, which is recently released. The optimum impedances for power amplifier design were extracted using the custom tuning jig composed of tunable passive components. The class-F power amplifier are designed based on EM co-simulation of impedance matching circuit. The matching circuit is realized in SAAO substrate. For integration and matching in the small package module, spiral inductors and single layer capacitors are used. The fabricated power amplifier with $4.4{\times}4.4\;mm^2$ shows the efficiency above 40 % and harmonic suppression above 30 dBc for the second(2nd) and the third(3rd) harmonic at the output power of 8 W.

This paper presents a design, fabrication and the test results of planar active electronically scanned array(AESA) radar prototype for airborne fighter applications using transmit/receive(T/R) module hybrid technology. LIG Nex1 developed a AESA radar prototype to obtain key technologies for airborne fighter's radar. The AESA radar prototype consists of a radiating array, T/R modules, a RF manifold, distributed power supplies, beam controllers, compact receivers with ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter), a liquid-cooling unit, and an appropriate structure. The AESA antenna has a 590 mm-diameter, active-element area capable of containing 536 T/R modules. Each module is located to provide a triangle grid with $14.7\;mm{\times}19.5\;mm$ spacing among T/R modules. The array dissipates 1,554 watts, with a DC input of 2,310 watts when operated at the maximum transmit duty factor. The AESA radar prototype was tested on near-field chamber and the results become equal in expected beam pattern, providing the accurate and flexible control of antenna beam steering and beam shaping.
Currently, solar module is using the two methods such as a glass-filled method or a super-straight method. The common point of these methods is to use glass structure on the front of solar module. However, the reflectance of the solar module is high depending on the height of the incident sunlight due to the flat surface of the module front glass. Purposed to solve these problems, AG (anti-glare) structures were formed on the glass surface. Next is fabrication methods of AG structure. First, uneven structure made by micro blaster equipment was dipped in Hydro-fluidic acid (HF) acid. HF acid process was carried out to remove particles and to make high transmittance. The reflectance and transmittance of the anti-glare glass was compared to those of the bare glass. The reflectance of anti-glare glass decreased approximately 1% compared with bare glass. The transmittance of anti-glare glass was similar to bare glass. According to the sample angle, the difference of the reflectance between bare glass and the anti-glare glass was about 19%. Isc and efficiency value of anti-glare glass on bare solar cell appeared about 3.01 mA and 0.228% difference compared with bare glass. Anti-glare glass on textured solar cell appeared about 9.46 mA and 0.741% difference compared with bare glass. As a result, the role of anti-glare in the substrate is to reduces the loss of sunlight reflected from the surface. In this study, therefore, AG structure on the solar cell was used to improve the efficiency of solar cell.

Recently, with the increase in the use of urban solar power, solar modules are required to produce high power in limited areas. In this report, we proposed the fabrication of a high-power photovoltaic module using shingles technology, and developed accurate string characteristic simulations based on circuit modeling. By comparing the resistance components between the interconnected cells and the cell strips, the ECA resistance was determined to be 0.003 Ω. Based on the equivalent circuit of the modeled shingled string, string simulation was performed according to the type of cell strip. As a result, it was determined that the cell efficiency of the 4-cell strip was the highest at 19.66%, but the efficiency of the string simulated with the 6-cell strip was the highest at 20.48% in the string unit.
