Technological advancements taken the health care industry by a storm by embedding sensors in human body to measure their vitals. These smart solutions provide better and flexible health care to patients, and also easy monitoring for the medical practitioners. However, these innovative solutions provide their own set of challenges. The major challenge faced by embedding sensors in body is the issue of lack of infinite energy source. This work presents a meta-heuristic based routing model using modified PSO, and adopts an energy harvesting scheme to improve the network lifetime. The routing process is governed by modifying the fitness function of PSO to include charge, temperature and other vital factors required for node selection. A reactive routing model is adopted to ensure reliable packet delivery. Experiments have been performed and comparisons indicate that the proposed Energy Harvesting and Modified PSO (EHMP) model demonstrates low overhead, higher network lifetime and better network stability.

It is essential for project managers to make schedule adjustment based on their professional experience, in terms of rescheduling action discussed in this paper. This paper discusses the topics of resource-constrained construction rescheduling by modifying the concepts of manufacturing rescheduling. Moreover, the influence factors of construction rescheduling problems are investigated and identified in this paper. According to initial schedule plan and present progress, a new rescheduling mechanism based on Constraint Programming (CP) techniques is developed to reschedule projects with the objective of minimizing total project cost or duration, under three rescheduling policies. Through case study, the behavior of three different rescheduling policies is analyzed and discussed in this paper.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a physical activity-behavior modification combined intervention(PABM-intervention) on metabolic risk factors in overweight and obese elementary school children. Methods: Thirty-two participants ($BMI\geq85$ percentile or relative $obesity\geq10$) were allocated to the PABM-intervention group and behavior modification only intervention group. The PABM -intervention was composed of exercise intervention consisting of 50 minutes of physical activity(Hip-hop dance & gym-based exercises) twice a week and the behavior modification intervention consisted of 50 minutes of instruction for modifying lifestyle habits(diet & exercise) once a week. Effectiveness of intervention was based on waist circumference, BP, HDL-cholesterol, TG, and fasting glucose before and after the intervention. Results: The proportion of subjects with 1, 2, 3 or more metabolic risk factors were 28.1, 43.8, and 15.6%, respectively. After the 8-week intervention, waist circumference, systolic BP, diastolic BP, and HDL-cholesterol changed significantly(p<.01) in the PABM group. Conclusion: This provides evidence that a PABM-intervention is effective in changing metabolic risk factors such as waist circumference, systolic BP, diastolic BP, and HDL-cholesterol in overweight and obese elementary school children.
Background: Cancer is a leading cause of death in Korea. To prevent cancer, it is essential to facilitate and promote appropriate cancer screening behavior in the adult population. The aim of this study was to examine health beliefs related to cancer screening intentions using the Health Belief Model (HBM). Materials and Methods: The research participants comprised 275 male health and safety managers at commercial companies in Korea. The self-administered survey explored demographic characteristics, cancer-related factors, beliefs about cancer/cancer screening (BCCS) (vulnerability to cancer, severity of cancer, benefits of screening, and barriers to screening), and cancer screening intention. Multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with an intention to be screened for cancer. Results: Perceived health status and need for cancer prevention education were major factors associated with BCCS. Poorer health status was associated with greater perceived vulnerability, a perception of fewer benefits, and more barriers (p<0.05). A perceived greater need for cancer prevention education was associated with a higher perceived severity of cancer and more perceived barriers to screening (p<0.05). Marital status, cancer screening experience, and perceived vulnerability to cancer were significant influences on the cancer screening intention (p<0.05). Participants who had undergone cancer screening in the past 2 years were more likely to intend to be screened for cancer than were those who had not been screened; this was true across all degrees of intention and all types of cancer (p<0.01). Hesitant people considered themselves less vulnerable to gastric, lung, and liver cancer than did the poeple who intended to undergo cancer screening (p<0.05). Conclusions: Based on our findings, we recommend that workplace cancer prevention programs attempt to increase awareness about vulnerability to cancer among workers who hesitate to undergo cancer screening.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the weight control attempts and related factors among 220 female college students in Seoul. Factors examined included body image, body satisfaction, interest in weight control, beliefs related to weight control, social norms, social expectations regarding subjects' body size and weight change. Data were analyzed using t-test and chi-square test(at $\alpha$=0.05). The average height and weight of subjects were 160.7cm, 52.2kg respectively. BMI and body fat(%) were 20.2 and 25.2%, respectively. One hundred seventy two students(78.2%) had attempted to control their weight, mainly to lose weight, and were categorized as the weight control attempt group. Subjects used diet modification as well as unhealthy method to control weight. 48.2% in the attempt group were underweight or normal weight(by BMI), suggesting that their weight control attempts were was unnecessary. Students in the attempt group described their own size as heavier than those in the no-attempt group(p<0.01) or other girls of their age(p<0.05) ; more dissatisfied with their body size(p<0.01), and showed more interest in weight control(p<0.01). Several differences in beliefs were also noted(p<0.001). The attempt group believed less strongly in the harmful effects or difficulties in weight control and believed more strongly in the advantages of weight control. With respect to social factors, the attempt group perceived that their family and friends wanted them to be smaller than they were(p<0.001), perceived that significant others felt that they should lose weight(p<0.05). These results suggest that educational programs for college female students should start focusing on the harmful effects of excessive dieting and information about desirable weight control methods. Students should be helped to have a correct body image. In addition, educational programs should incorporate strategies to change beliefs regarding weight control, as well as modifying social expectations from significant others.
This research adopted a Robust Decision Making framework to re-evaluate four alternative strategies proposed by the Comprehensive Flood Management Plan for the Yeongsan River Basin report (MLTM, 2005) considering uncertainties of future floods under condition of climate change. To reflect the uncertainties, multiple sets of future flood scenarios were used with three uncertainty factors: the change in rainfall intensity based on the RCP climate change scenarios and the changes in the temporal and the spatial flood distributions. With combinations of these factors, 216 plausible flood scenario sets were generated and the performances of the four alternatives under different future states were evaluated. From the results, the most robust alternative among the strategies was identified. Moreover, the key factors which made the tested alternatives poor were discovered through assessment of the uncertainty factors. This information can provide detailed insights to decision makers and can be utilized to overcome alternatives' potential vulnerabilities by modifying the strategy to be more robust.

In this study, we analyzed previous studies and collected important factors that can have an impact on the effectiveness of Cyber Home Learning. We were supposed to regard the effectiveness as an intention to attend the class. We selected the instructional value, website usability, subjective norms as factors that can have an impact to this intention. We conducted the survey based on these factors. We distributed and collected data from 6th grade elementary students in Kyungki Province. And also we performed confirmatory factor analysis. After modifying the survey, we gave it again to the students. Finally we were able to establish my research model and hypothesis. They are accepted through the result of the Analysis Structural Equation Modeling. Moreover, included in this study are the restrictions and suggestions.
The representative alignments for taking a stereo image by using a stereoscopic camera are the toed-in and the parallel alignment. In this paper, we tried to find important factors in the process that captures the stereo image by modifying parallel type 3D camera alignment to take the same object information as, for instance, when toed-in type was used. The modified parallel type 3D camera has merits in both types. As a result, three important factors are found by simulation to be inter-camera distance, field of view and convergence angle for both types. And the change of the convergence angle is known to be the most important factor at the stereo fusible area in processing. The effective ranges of these factors to simulate perfectly toed-in type by modified parallel type are strongly dependent on a user's circumstances such as mobile, official, theater and so on. Additionally, the error of the simulation is reduced when the focal length of the stereo camera is short and the convergence angle becomes smaller.
For real-time applications, the underlying operating system (0S) should support timeliness guarantees of real-time tasks. However, most of current operating systems do not provide timely management facilities in an efficient way. There could be two approaches to support timely management facilities for real-time applications: (1) by modifying 0S kernel and (2) by Providing a middleware without modifying 0S. In our approach, we adopted the middleware approach based on the TMO (Time-triggerred Message-triggered Object) model which is a well-known real-tine object model. The middleware, named TMSOM (TMO Support Middleware) has been implemented on various OSes such as Linux and Windows XP/NT/98. In this paper, we mainly consider TMOSM implemented on Linux(TMOS/Linux). Although the real-time schedul-ing aIgorithm used in current TMOSM/Linux can produce an efficient real-time schedule, it can be improved for periodic real-time tasks by considering several factors. In this paper, we discuss those factors and propose an improved real-time scheduling algorithm for periodic real-time tasks, In order to simulate the performance of our algorithm, we measure timeliness guarantee rate for periodic real-time tasks. The result shows that the performance of our algorithm is superior to that of existing algorithm. Additionally, the proposed algorithm can improve system performance by making the structure of real-time middleware simpler.

This study consisted of methodological research verifying the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the interpersonal emotion management (IEM) strategies scale after translating and modifying the scale developed by Little et al. The study verified the content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity and reliability based on 189 nurses working at four hospitals in the Seoul and Gyeonggi region. In this study, the Korean version of the IEM strategies scale was comprised of four factors, with a total of 15 questions that included three regarding situation modification, three regarding attention deployment, four regarding cognitive change, and five on modifying emotional response. Furthermore, verification of concurrent validity revealed that the Korean version of the IEM strategies scale was a valid tool as the correlation of the emotional intelligence scale appeared as r=0.60 (p<0.001). The reliability verification showed four factors at Cronbach's ${\alpha}=0.84-90$, confirming that the Korean version of the tool in this study was very reliable. It is important to note that this study provided basic data for the development of educational programs that can effectively control the negative emotions of clinical nurses at the organization level.
