기초구조물로서 얇은 쉘 구조물의 지진응답 (Seismic Response on Thin Shell as Structural Foundation)

  • This study aims to investigate the seismic response of a large span thin shell structures and assess their displacement under seismic loads. The study employs finite element analysis to model a thin shell structure subjected to seismic excitation. The analysis includes eigenvalue analysis and time history analysis to evaluate the natural frequencies and displacement response of the structure under seismic loads. The findings show that the seismic response of the large span thin shell structure is highly dependent on the frequency content of the seismic excitation. The eigenvalue analysis reveals that the tenth mode of vibration of the structure corresponds to a large-span mode. The time history analysis further demonstrates, with 5% damping, that the displacement response of the structure at the critical node number 4920 increases with increasing seismic intensity, reaching a maximum displacement of 49.87mm at 3.615 seconds. Nevertheless, the maximum displacement is well below the allowable limit of the thin shell. The results of this study provide insight into the behaviour of complex large span thin shell structures as elevated foundations for buildings under seismic excitation, based on the displacement contours on different modes of eigenvalues. The findings suggest that the displacement response of the structure is significant for this new application of thin shell, and it is recommended to enhance the critical displacement area in the next design phase to align with the findings of this study to resist the seismic impact.

  • To understand the dynamic characteristics of the vessel with hydroelastic response, it is very important to estimate the dynamic modal parameters such as mode shapes, natural frequency, and damping ratio. These dynamic modal parameters of full scale ship are a priori unknowns, hence to be estimated directly based upon the full scale measurement data. In this paper, dynamic modal parameters were extracted by signal processing of acceleration and strain data measured from a large container ship whose loading capacity is 9400TEU. The mode shapes of the vibrating hull were identified using the proper orthogonal decomposition and the vibration response of hull was decomposed into its modal magnitudes. Natural frequencies of specific modes were derived via Fourier transform of these modal magnitude. Also, the free decay signal of the vibrating hull was obtained through the random decrement technique and the damping ratio was estimated with accuracy.

  • Kirchhoff-Love 판 (KLP) 방정식은 특정 외력이 얇은 막에 끼치는 변형을 기술하는 잘 알려진 이론이다. 한편, frequency 도메인에서 진동하는 판을 해석하는 것은 주요 진동 주파수와 고유함수들을 구하는 것과 판의 진동을 예측하는데 중요하다. 다양한 모드 분석 방법들 중 dynamic mode decomposition (DMD)는 효율적인 data 기반 방법이다. 이 논문에서 우리는 DMD를 기반으로 sine 유형 외력의 영향력 안에 있는 KLP의 모드 분석을 수행한다. 우리는 먼저 유한차분법을 사용하여 이산적으로 표현된 시계열 형식의 KLP 해를 구한다. 720,00개의 FDM으로 생성된 해중에서, 오직 500개의 해만을 DMD의 구현을 위해 선택한다. 우리는 결과적으로 얻어진 DMD-mode를 보고한다. 또한, DMD를 통하여 KLP의 해를 예측하는 효율적인 방법을 소개한다.

임피던스 튜브 내에 설치된 이중 평판의 음파투과연구 (A study on the sound transmission through double plates installed inside an impedance tube)

  • 본 논문은 중간에 공기층을 포함한 이중 판이 임피던스 튜브 내에 고정된 경우 이중 판의 음향투과손실(Sound Transmission Loss, STL)을 해석적으로 구하는 방법을 다루었다. 평판의 진동과 튜브 내부 음장을 모드 함수의 무한급수의 합으로 전개하였다. 평면파 가정을 이용하여 처음 몇 개의 모드만 고려하여도 충분히 정확한 결과를 얻음을 보였으며 피크와 골(dip)의 발생 위치를 조사하였다. 이중 판의 피크는 각각의 단일 판의 피크와 같은 주파수에서 발생함을 보였다. 두 개의 판이 동일한 경우 STL은 단일 판과 마찬가지로 판의 고유진동수에서 제로가 된다. 공기층 간격이 작은 경우에 대한 근사식을 사용하여 STL의 골과 크기를 규명하였다.

  • 근년에 이르러 에너지 절약형선(節約型船) 개발이 촉진됨에 따라 디이젤엔진이 대구경(大口徑) 장행정(長行程) 소수(小數)실린더 저회전수화(低回轉數化)함으로써 불균형(不均衡)모멘트가 커져서 특히 중형선(中型船)에 대해 저진동수영역(低振動數領域)의 선체진동(船體振動) 방진설계(防振設計)가 주요과제로 대두되고 있다. 자동차운반선(自動車運搬船)의 경우 구조적(構造的) 특성(特性) 및 선형기하학적(船型幾何學的)인 특성(特性)이 일반상선(一般商船)과는 매우 다르다. 본 논문에서는 선체상하진동(船體上下振動), 선체수평(船體水平) 비틂연성진동(聯成振動)에 대하여 보유추(類推)이론에 의거한 해석방법의 정립을 위하여 전기 특성을 고려한 적정한 모델링방법, 부가수질량(附加水質量) 및 동 중심(中心), 부가수질량(附加水質量) 극관성(極慣性) 모멘트, 단면(斷面)의 전단계수(剪斷係數) 등의 적정한 산정방법, 수평(水平) 비틂거동(擧動)의 연성도(聯成度), modal해석(解析) 즉 mode중 첩법에 의한 강제진동응답(强制振動應答)의 계산 등에 관하여 실선(實船)에 대한 수치실험적(數値實驗的) 계산예(計算例)를 통해 일련의 고찰을 거쳐 합리적인 해석방법을 제시하였다.

2-2형 압전복합체 제작 및 등가 물성 도출 (Fabrication of a 2-2 Mode Piezocomposite and Derivation of its Equivalent Properties)

  • 본 논문에서는 2-2형 압전복합체의 등가 물성 도출에 관해 연구하였다. 먼저 2-2 압전복합체의 특성 변화를 유한요소법으로 해석하였고, 해석 결과와 2-2 압전복합체 시제작품의 특성 측정 결과를 비교하여 유한요소해석의 타당성을 검증하였다. PZT-5H와 고분자재료로 구성된 압전복합체의 단일상 등가물성은 Asymptotic Averaging Method를 이용하여 도출하였고, 도출된 물성을 다양한 진동 모드의 단일상 공진자 유한요소 모델에 대입한 후 완전한 2-2 압전복합체와의 임피던스 스펙트럼 차이를 최소 자승법을 이용하여 보정함으로써, 도출된 등가 물성값의 정확성을 향상시켰다. 본 연구에서 도출한 2-2 압전복합체의 등가 물성은 향후 다양한 음향 센서의 설계에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • We present a new technological concept named RCP (Robotic Cellular Phone), which combines RT and CP. That is an ubiquitous robot. RCP consists of 3 sub-modules, RCP Mobility, RCP interaction, and RCP Integration. RCP Interaction is the main focus of this paper. It is an interactive emotion system which provides CP with multi-emotional signal receiving functionalities. RCP Interaction is linked with communication functions of CP in order to interface between CP and user through a variety of emotional models. It is divided into a tactile, an olfactory and a visual mode. The tactile signal receiving module is designed by patterns and beat frequencies which are made by mechanical-vibration conversion of the musical melody, rhythm and harmony. The olfactory signal receiving module is designed by switching control of perfume-injection nozzles which are able to give the signal receiving to the CP-called user through a special kind of smell according to the CP-calling user. The visual signal receiving module is made by motion control of DC-motored wheel-based system which can inform the CP-called user of the signal receiving through a desired motion according to the CP-calling user. In this paper, a prototype system is developed far multi-emotional signal receiving modes of CP. We describe an overall structure of the system and provide experimental results of the functional modules.

가변 스텝 사이즈를 적용한 P&O 방식 기반의 고효율 MPPT 알고리즘 연구 (A Study on High-Efficiency MPPT Algorithm Based on P&O Method with Variable Step Size)

  • In this study, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm based on the perturb and observe (P&O) method with variable step size is proposed to improve the dynamic response characteristic of MPPT, using the existing P&O method. The proposed algorithm, which we verified by simulation and experiment, can track the maximum power point (MPP) through duty control and consisted of three operation modes, namely, constant voltage mode, fast mode, and variable step mode. When the insolation is constant, the voltage variation of the operating point at the MPP is reduced through the step size reduction of the duty in the variable step mode. Consequently, the vibration of the operating point is reduced, and the power generation efficiency is increased. When the insolation changes, the duty and the photovoltaic (PV) voltage are kept constant through the constant voltage mode. The operating point then rapidly tracks the new MPP through the fast-mode operation at the end of the insolation change. When the MPP is reached, the operation is changed to the variable step mode to reduce the duty step size and track the MPP. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation and experiment of a PV system composed of a PV panel and a boost converter.

매개변수 평가법을 이용한 압전재료의 재료물성 최적화 연구 Part I. 다결정 PZT 세라믹스 (Optimization Study for Material Properties of Piezoelectric Material Using Parameter Estimation Method: Part I. Polycrystal PZT Ceramics)

  • Recently, piezoelectric devices, such as ultrasonic surgery, ultrasonic atomizer, and ultrasonic speaker, are analyzed and designed by finite element simulation methods. However, the discrepancy between the design and the experiment results of the device typically occurs due to the inaccuracy of the piezoelectric material properties. To improve the simulation accuracy, the material properties of the PZT ceramics were better refined using parameter estimation method. The material parameters are elastic stiffness cEij and piezoelectric constant eij of PZT ceramics. The impedance curve characteristics for the LTE mode of PZT ceramics were calculated. The mismatch between the simulation and the experimental data were compared and minimized by a least square method. Finally, the simulated impedance data were compared with the experimental data for the various vibration modes of PZT ceramics and the optimized material properties of PZT ceramics were verified. To further verify the accuracy, this method was also applied to piezoelectric PMN-PT single crystals.

이차전지 원료 해쇄용 GRINDING DISC ASS'Y 구조해석에 대한 연구 (A study on structural analysis of GRINDING DISC ASS'Y for secondary battery material decompositiom)

  • Globally, as population growth and economic development continue, resource consumption is increasing rapidly. As an alternative to electric vehicles was suggested as the environmental pollution problem emerged, the number of registered electric vehicles in Korea increased by more than 137 times compared to 2013. Secondary batteries are expected to expand into various markets such as small IT devices and electric vehicles, and the most important part of electric vehicles is the battery (secondary battery). Therefore, in this study, to analyze the stability of the CSM (Classifier Separator Mill) grinding disc that crushes secondary battery raw materials, structural analysis and vibration analysis of the 1st to 4th grinding discs and the final model were performed. The change of bending by the weight of the Grinding Disc is at least 0.065㎛ and maximum 0.075㎛, and the change by the standard gravity is judged to be very low. The strain is at least 0.00031㎛/㎛ and maximum 0.00078㎛/㎛, and even if the number of Hamer increases, the change by the weight is judged to be insignificant. When the Grinding Disc rotates at a maximum of 6000rpm, the deformation and deformation rate of the first to third models are similar, but the fourth model (Hamer 10EA) is more than three times and the final model (Hamer 12EA) is about four times. However, the maximum deformation is 28.21㎛, which is considered to be insignificant when the change is 6000rpm. Six modes of natural Frequency analysis of the 1st~4th order and final model of the grinding disc appeared to be bent or twisted.
