식음료 플래그십스토어 서비스디자인의 만족도 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction of Service Design of Food and Beverage Flagship Stores)

  • The concept of food and beverage space in modern society is changing into complex space where various experiences are provided. With the increase of food service brands, those brands are getting standardized. Providing more differentiated experience and service became an element of competition to companies. The flagship stores among stores presented by companies have much influence on promotion and sales. Thus, it would be necessary to provide integrated service by adopting service design process for the differentiated design of such experiential space. The objective of this study is to examine the satisfaction of service design of food and beverage flagship stores. By creating a checklist to evaluate the space through the theoretical consideration of flagship stores and service design, the satisfaction of service design of food and beverage flagship stores was analyzed. Through the survey with users of the case space, it was possible to check the satisfaction of the service design elements applied to the food and beverage flagship store space. The satisfaction with service design was evaluated through the 5point scale. When the average point was high, the satisfaction with service design elements was high. In the results of the analysis, regarding the spatial composition of flagship stores, the overall interior/exterior atmosphere should contain the image of the company. As flagship stores compose space that can express various event space and company itself on top of the space for sales, they should present the spatial composition differentiated from other general commercial spaces. The significance of a study on service design of flagship stores is to show positive effect on flagship store space. In the future, it would be necessary to have comparative analysis on domestic and foreign cases applied with the service design process, and also to analyze the strategies in the aspect of service design.

  • This study started from the concern for Bjrake Ingels, an emerging architect in the architecture circle, who is creative and popular. Recently, the architecture field provides architects with a foundation to express a process on a new form creation through various new expressive languages, design concepts, and methods. The global Danish group BIG(Bjarke Ingels Group) develops a story by their distinctive architectural language. The storytelling is being used in various fields and now the tool called 'story' is settling down as an important element in the life that human lives. Bjarke Ingels leading the group BIG aims for the form expression by the scientific analysis and adaptation after being affected by Danish regional background and OMA. It creates a form to share stories with local members by visually simplifying the region, culture, environment, social phenomenon, economy, and politics that are invisible and do not have the form in the modern society. The elements and expressive features of the space storytelling include locality, cultural, natural environment, and connectivity which are the content structure(story) that enables you to intervene in the story according to the main agent to imagine a new space. The expressive element includes the watching moving line story of the successive, hierarchical, and organic structures which are constructive elements creating various spaces through the mixture, transmutability, and relocation of the program and inducing users to the space. The space storytelling is composed of the symbolism, community, and eco-friendliness to appear diversely through BIG's case analysis. This study will have significance that it drew a method and feature looked at by many contemporary architects from the storytelling viewpoint in the form-creating process, classified the form-creating process through a new storytelling type, and showed a possibility on the development of various methodologies.

지역사회를 위한 현대 교회의 공간 활용에 관한 연구 - 본당을 중심으로- (A Study on the Spatial Utilities of Contemporary Church for Community -Focused on the main hall-)

  • 현대 교회의 본당 공간은 비효율적으로 사용되어져 왔다. 이 연구는 단지 예배만을 위한 공간으로 존재했던 본당 공간의 다양한 활용 방안을 모색함으로써 지역사회를 위해 이 공간을 어떻게 사용해야 하는가를 제안하는 것이다. 이러한 연구는 지역사회를 위한 교회의 책임을 주장하는 현대 신학적 이론에도 그 근거를 두고 있다. 이 연구를 위해 360명의 성직자, 교인, 지역주민을 대상으로 2003년 10월부터 2004년 3월까지 설문 조사를 하였다. 이 논문의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 성직자, 교인, 지역주민 모두는 교회가 지역 사회와 밀접한 관계를 가져야 한다고 생각하고 있었다. 2. 이를 위해 본당의 경우 예배 이외에 음악회, 극장, 공연장, 장례식, 결혼식 같은 문화적 기능을 감당 할 수 있는 복합적인 공간계획이 필요하다. 3. 새로이 교회가 신축되거나 증축될 때에는, 지역사회를 위한 봉사 기능과 함께 교회 시설을 최대한 사용할 수 있는 프로그램을 고려한 건축계획이 반영되어야 한다.

  • 현대 도시공간은 단순주거환경에서 문화, 복지, 환경을 포괄하는 다기능 충족공간으로 급격하게 패러다임이 변화하고 있으며, 이러한 요구에 따라 문화적 이미지의 가치 창출에 대한 필요성과 질적인 성장관리가 중요한 이슈로 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 복합공간개발계획에 있어 문화콘텐츠를 개발 도입한 성공사례의 연구 분석을 통해 각 개발 사례별로 문화콘텐츠영역을 추출하여 문화콘텐츠와 공간이 어떻게 연계되어 새로운 복합문화공간으로 조성될 수 있는지 살펴본다 또한 각 개발사례별 PM(Project management)과 PMr (Project Manager)의 범위와 역할에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 통합적이고 체계적인 관리시스템의 중요성을 인식한다. 따라서 이러한 PM과 PMr의 타당성에 대한 인식과 더불어 다양한 복합문화공간개발에 있어서 통합적 계획과 관리시스템으로 가장 효과적인 방법인 PM의 적용이 향후 복합공간개발의 질적인 향상을 가능하게 하는 새로운 대안의 기반이 될 것으로 기대한다.

Study on the Influence of Contemporary Art on Furniture Design -Based on the Analysis on with Key Features of Contemporary Art and Furniture Design-

  • The history repeatedly shows that designers have sought their creative inspiration from fine arts. was also influenced by contemporary art such as surrealism or installment works. This thesis aims to examine the inter-relationship between contemporary art and contemporary furniture design with examples of organic modernism and minimalism furniture design. Also, will be analyzed in light of such interdisciplinary relationship, explaining the significances of in scholastic perspective. The previous research analysis of finding out examples of how fine art and design sought mutual exchanges to develop will help to examine the significance of in the context of art history. This analysis could be used as an important academic material to understand the origin and characteristics of modern design furniture. The features of surrealism and minimalism will be discussed in light of their influences on and interactive relationship with organic modernism furniture design. This provides important basic material to further analyze . Furthermore, the artistic language and plastic features of contemporary sculptors and installment artists such as Jean Arp, Richard Serra and Anish Kapoor will be examined to show how integrated and combined main features of those artists. extracted cognitive and phenomenological aspects from Serra's works that overwhelm viewers with their massive scales. Somewhat abstract yet somewhat primitive and dynamic features of Arp's works was also referred to . are made of FRP, composed of three partitions and six stools. This work was analyzed in aspect of form, composition and function. They have organic and flexible formations with free composition availability which endow free disassemble and arrangement. Also, they have cognitive features as of small elements are freely dispersed upon spaces to bestow certain presences. Based on this, this thesis could develop scholastic researches that examine the mutual and interactive relationship between contemporary art and furniture design with much more detailed discussions and examples.

  • New images percolate through human consciousness by the media such as movies, TV programs, and brilliant advertisements. These images reproduce new ' things ' throughout the ' semantic processes ' by those who experience and recognize them. Alvin Toffler describes it as the ' information bomb ' and ' image fragments ' in his talk about the new paradigm of information-oriented era. The increasing number of images and their accelerating rate of appearance imply that images become more momentary, and are evidence that they are transforming entire human life and consciousness. Such awareness means a lot to a designer. Especially, the subject that how modern space-dominating images are related to the structure and materials constituting the space and communicate with human mind will be an important factor in establishing the human-space relationship in the future. Furthermore, the present age overspread with various medium is not the only one privileged of the images that exist within space. They are the results of continuous expansion of existing images, and also process of evolution of space powered by the fusion of images and digital media. Imagified space is a boundary layer of Cyberspace, and the space itself becomes an interface by human recognition and participation. Now, the functional classification of spaces such as ' office, ' ' cafe, ' and ' school ' is meaningless. Whatever it may be, the function of a space is defined by the information it interfaces, and therefore it becomes an interface to information through a large number of images. Based on this idea, we will observe the imagificaiton of space in the form of discussion, and from that, try to understand the phenomenon through the real world examples.

존 파우슨(John Pawson)의 가구 디자인 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Furniture Design of John Pawson)

  • Furniture has been developed in pursuit of human convenience and comfort, but nowadays it does not consider human users and gradually loses the essence of furniture. Especially furniture design that disregards the relation with space loses both the meaning and purpose of furniture. In this regards, it is necessary to understand the essence of furniture design and establish a design direction for future progress. Based on the relation between furniture and space, this paper intended to study on John Pawson's works that pursued the essence of design focusing on users, and propose a direction in a sense of real meaning for modern furniture design after exploring the characteristic of the furniture design of John Pawson. The study method of this paper was to investigate the design language of John Pawson and analyze his furniture in the morphological structural, functional, and material aspects. Based on such analysis, this study investigated the characteristics of the furniture design and found out what the core of the design that he pursued was. The scope of the study included the Independent Furniture that was restricted furniture collections of Driade and Spatial Furniture designed and installed at the stage of space construction. The study result showed that the design of John Pawson considered 'the suitability to a specific place' as important factor and furniture was planned at the stage of planning space. Each independent furniture defines all spaces in the morphological, lay-out and functional aspects of furniture and emphasizes their own property. As Spatial Furniture shares the function of spatial composition element, Pawson's furniture can be all called Spatial Furniture.

이용자 체험에 따른 서점 공간의 표현특성 연구 (A Study on the Expressional Characteristics of Spaces in Bookstores based on Users' Experiences)

  • In recent years, as selling books on the internet becomes popular, the number of off-line bookstores are rapidly dwindling away. This change on the book market requires, the function and space of the bookstores should be defined again. Now bookstores are the places of experiences on cultures, world-views, and lifestyles around books. The study examines six large bookstores and finds three strategies of space expression as follow. First, Dominicanen bookstore in Maastricht which was built as a church has an expression which contrasts the old and the new as well as the sacred and the profane. Fangsuo bookstore in Chengdu creates a modern underground Sutra Depository. Here, people experience history and religion. Second, Cook & Book in Brussels has nine theme areas, each with a different selection of books, different interior decoration and special food and beverage like a theme park. Zhongshu bookshop in Shanghai has a lattice of nine reading rooms in which each unique design theme is characterized based on each book subject. Third, Cultura Bookstore in Sao Paulo is created to support social interchange. It leads people to the enormous plaza of books where people read books freely and participate in workshops, movies and all kinds of events. Daikanyama Tsutaya Books in Tokyo is composed of three white box-form pavilions which are connected by a 55-meter long aisle, called a magazine street. People walk along the street and choose concierge services as they browse magazines and books. The study finds out three strategies of design in current large bookstores to promote place-experience, which are the story-telling of history and culture, the design of theme parks, and openness for public mingling like plazas and streets. Thus, the study suggests a new paradigm in the design of bookstores in this internet age.

벽화 공공 디자인의 실험적 접근: 부산주례여자중학교 벽화 디자인 사례를 중심으로 (Experimental Approach of Mural Public Design: Toward the Mural Design Case in Jurye Girl's Middle School, Busan)

  • 본 연구는 도시 디자인과 공공예술 이론을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 기존의 벽화예술은 기획력이 부족하고 시대적 요구에 부합하지 않는다는 것을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 벽화를 예술적 영역에만 국한되기 보다는 공공의 공간으로 확장한 실험적 접근을 시도하였다. 그 사례로서 부산에 소재한 주례여자중학교의 벽화를 공공디자인 영역으로 발전시켰다. 그 결과 문화가 포함된 벽화는 도시 공공 환경과 오히려 잘 어울린다는 것을 설문을 통해 발견하였다. 설문조사는 주례여자중학교 학생과 주변사람들 무작위로 선발하여 총 107명 대상으로 하였다. 설문 결과 환경 친화와 문화적 함의가 상대적으로 높게 평정 되었다. 벽화예술은 우리 사회의 발전, 문명의 진보와 더불어 더욱 세밀하게 사람들이 살아가고 있는 공간으로 주목받게 되었다. 어떻게 더욱 뛰어나게 벽화 예술과 현대공공 환경공간의 관계를 조화롭게 만들어야 할지가 앞으로의 과제이자 추세인 것이다. 본 연구는 다양한 벽화내용을 통하여 공공환경에 생기와 활력을 불어 넣고 자신의 독특한 분위기로 대체할 수 없는 사회적 가치를 제시한다.

패션 팝업 스토어의 연도별 변화 추이 및 유형 특성 - 국내 사례를 중심으로 - (The characteristics of types and annual trends of pop-up fashion stores - Focused on domestic cases -)

  • Contemporary fashion companies have been planning marketing strategies that can promote brands and products more effectively for satisfying consumers' increasingly diversified needs. For this reason, retail spaces have continued to evolve and the modern concept of pop-up stores appeared through this process. Therefore, the object of this study was to research domestic pop-up fashion store cases by collecting article data. These data are from Internet fashion-specialty sites and analyze the types and characteristics of pop-up fashion stores by providing basic information that will be useful in the pop-up fashion stores of companies when they establish their marketing strategies. This study utilized the content analysis method and derived the results by using SPSS Statistics. As a result of this study, the type of "pop-up fashion stores opening in distribution enterprises" comprised the highest percentage of the whole store types and the pop-up fashion stores' management purposes were focused on product introduction, promotion, and market testing. As time passed, not only did pop-up fashion stores' growth rate increased, but also the types of pop-up fashion stores have become more diverse. In other words, contemporary fashion companies are utilizing more pop-up fashion stores as a marketing strategy than before. However, due to the short history of domestic pop-up fashion stores, the variety of research is still insufficient, so more extensive research on pop-up fashion stores is required.
