  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating and mediating effects of resilience in the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction among nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs). Method : The participants were 144 ICU nurses from three university hospitals. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 25.0. The mediating effect of resilience in the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction was analyzed by multiple regression analysis according to Baron and Kenny's procedure. Results : Statistically significant negative correlations were found between emotional labor and resilience (r=-.21, p<.014) and between emotional labor and job satisfaction (r=-.34, p<.001). A significant positive correlation was found between resilience and job satisfaction (r=.31 p<.001). A partial mediating effect by resilience was found between emotional labor and job satisfaction (Z=-2.11, p=.034), but no moderating effect was found. Conclusion : To improve the job satisfaction of ICU nurses, evaluation of their emotional labor, resilience, and interventions are necessary to alleviate emotional labor and improve resilience.

The Relationship among Internal Marketing, Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment: Moderating Effect of Economic Performance Change of Business

  • Purpose- This research's purpose is to give implications on how to increase employee satisfaction and organizational commitment of Korean employees using internal marketing. To do that this study analyzes relationships among variables and analyses mediating effect of satisfaction. Also, this study wants to analyze economic performance change of business as a moderator so group comparison between an economic slump and economic recovery is included. Research design, data, and methodology- To analyze relationships among internal marketing, employee satisfaction and organizational commitment of Korean employees, this study used the 7th KRIVET's HCCP data of employee and firm's financial statements data. And conducted CFA, SEM and group comparison analysis by using AMOS 21. Result- According to the empirical results, employee satisfaction mediates between internal marketing and organizational commitment. However, trust was the only significant antecedent that give a positive influence on employee satisfaction. And employee satisfaction increases organizational commitment. Also, economic performance change of business does significantly deteriorate relationships. Conclusion- Based on this study result, implications to manage the organizational commitment of Korean employees are discussed. Especially, the effect of employee satisfaction and trust discussed. Also, economic performance group which is an economic slump and economic recovery differentiation is highlighted. Therefore the cautious approach is needed in managing employee attitude to job and organization is needed

Abusive Supervision and Coworkers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Moderating Role of Perceived LMX Differentiation

  • Purpose - The increase in organizational citizenship behavior is important in that it creates a cooperative atmosphere within the organization. Proving how OCB toward coworkers changes in negative leadership situations such as abusive supervision is a new research stream. Therefore, this study examines the main effects of the supervisor's abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates for coworkers, and then attempts to clarify that the perceived LMX differentiation of team members play a moderating role. Research design, data, and methodology - First, we examine the effects of the supervisor's abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates in the team toward colleagues. Second, the degree of perceived LMX differentiation is measured to verify the moderating effect of abusive supervision on OCB toward coworkers. Result - Hypothesis 1 is that abusive supervision has a negative effect on coworkers' OCB. Hypotheses 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 test the moderating effect of perceived LMX differentiation, and the relationship between abusive supervision and coworkers' OCB will change according to the perceived degree of LMX differentiation. Conclusion - It is significant in that the scope of abusive supervision research has been expanded through the team level moderator of perceived LMX differentiation, away from the research on abusive supervision that was mainly discussed at the level of dyadic relationship (between the supervisor and the one subordinate).

The Effect of Tax Planning on Firm Value: A Case Study in Vietnam

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of tax planning on firm value of the non-financial firms listed in Vietnam, moderated by the state ownership. In this paper, effective tax rate is used to measure the tax planning; the state ownership is measured by the percentage of state equity holdings, and the firm value is measured by Tobin's Q. The data research is collected from audited financial statements and other statistical documents of 513 firms in the period of 2015-2019, provided by The FiinGroup (Vietnam). According to that, this paper uses quantitative research methods for the panel data. Regression analysis with GLS shows that the tax planning has a negative effect on firm value. In more detail, the association is not a variable in its direction when state ownership takes the role of a moderator. That means, in the perspective of principal-principal conflict, government should improve institutional environment to prevent firms form breaking the rules, especially accounting standards and principles. Assets allocation in tangible assets or making use of large size advantage should be taken into account. In the long run, firms should concentrate on the deployment of resources and the experience of knowledgeable practitioners to produce effective results.

  • Purpose - This study investigate the effect of innovative capacity on corporate export performance and moderating flexibility. Design/methodology/approach - For this, hypotheses were established by reviewing previous studies and an empirical analysis was conducted for testing. Using SPSS 22.0, a frequency analysis of related variables was conducted. Through an exploratory factor analysis, validity and reliability tests of measuring tools were conducted and a descriptive statistics was analyzed for collected data result and hypotheses testing. Findings - Finally, with a verified model, the hypotheses and the moderating effects were tested. The results are as follows; The innovationa capacities have a positive effect on export performance and flexibility However, the flexbilitiy was not moderator in the relationship between innovative capacity and export performance. Research implications or Originality - According to the results above, this study presents directions to improve export performance of technological innovative type SMEs. 국내 수면장애 성인을 위한 비약물적 중재 효과에 대한 메타분석 (Effects of non-pharmacological interventions for adults with insomnia in Korea: A meta-analysis)

  • 본 연구는 국내 수면장애를 가진 성인을 대상으로 비약물적 중재를 실시한 논문을 메타분석하여 중재 효과의 크기를 확인하고자 실시되었다. 본 연구의 자료검색은 국가과학기술정보 통합서비스 (NDSL), 한국교육학술정보원 (RISS), 한국학술정보원 (KISS), 학술데이터베이스서비스 (DBpia)에서 이루어졌으며, 검색된 2000년부터 2016년까지의 연구 1,334편 중 16편의 연구를 선정하였다. 분석은 메타분석 R(version 3.3.1)을 활용하였으며, 랜덤효과모형을 이용하여 비약물적 중재의 효과크기를 산출하였다. 메타분석 결과 수면장애가 있는 성인에게 수행된 비약물적 중재의 효과크기 Hedges' g는 2.36 (95% CI: 1.44~3.28)로 큰 효과크기이었으며, 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 조절효과 분석에서 연령 집단, 중재방법, 입원유무 및 결과측정 도구에 따른 효과크기는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으나 연구설계 및 참여자 유형에 따른 효과크기는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 중재 중 이압요법이 가장 큰 효과크기를 보였고, 발반사 마사지, 아로마요법, 기타 및 웃음치료 순이었다. 연구결과는 수면증진을 위한 비약물적 중재가 수면에 효과적임을 확인하게 되었고, 실무에서 수면장애를 가진 성인을 위한 중재를 선택하고 실행하는데 객관적인 근거를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

조직의사결정과 DSS의 적합성 모형 (Model of the Fit between Organizational Decision-Making and Decision Support Systems)

  • There are six perspectives of fit in strategy research, each implying distinct theoretical meaning and requiring the use of specific analytical schemes. But there is a few literature of the perspective in the discipline of Organizational Decision-Making and DSS. This study is a prior research which objective is to investigate the perspective of fit emprically in the discipline. The data were collected throughout the sampled business firms with premade questionaire and analysis were conducted with correlation analysis, regression, ANOVA and so forth. The research finding is that both predictors, one of which can be the moderator, influence the performance, and that the joint-effect of them influence the performance. Thus,'Fit as Moderation' would be suggested to be a proper model for the research in the discipline of Organizational Decision-Making and Decision Support Systems.

The Moderating Effect of Operations Efficiency on the Links between Environmental Performance and Financial Performance: The UK Evidence

  • Drawing upon the resource-based-view of a firm, we investigate the moderating role of operations efficiency on the link between environmental and financial performance. Extant literature has highlighted that operations efficiency is closely associated with the environmental/financial performance of firms, but no empirical study has investigated how operations efficiency affects the link between environmental and financial performance. We argue that operations efficiency could act as a moderator of this relationship. To test the hypothesized relationships, we have used available secondary quantitative UK data, namely data on the environmental/financial performance of Britain's most admired companies. By employing moderated regression analysis, we have found strong evidence for the moderating impact of operations efficiency. Our results are useful to managers in that they show that improvements in operations efficiency in a company can also help improve environmental/financial performance and vice versa.

"신뢰가 안전을 만든다.": 작업 부담이 안전 행동에 미치는 영향 ("Trust Makes Safety": The Effect of Workload on Safety Behavior)

  • This present study tested whether job stress mediates the relationship between workload and safety behavior of members in organization. In addition, we hypothesized trust in leader/coworkers functions as moderator between not only the workload-job stress link, but also the job stress-safety behavior link. In order to investigate the hypotheses, 841 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which elaborately investigated the significance of our hypotheses. The results indicated that job stress mediated the link between workload and safety behavior of members. In addition, the relationship between workload and job stress was moderated by trust in leader/coworkers. Moreover trust in leader/coworkers moderated the job stress-safety behavior linkage. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

Furthermore, we hypothesized that safety climate functions as moderator between physical environment-job stress link. In order to examine the hypotheses, 870 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which cab elaborately test the significance of our hypotheses. The results showed that job stress mediated the link between physical environment and safety behavior of members. Moreover, the relationship between physical environment and job stress was moderated by safety climate. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
