The Study on the Effect of Waiting Line on Consumers' Perceived Quality and Emotional State

  • This study examines a model which simultaneously contains two paths between waiting line and purchase intention: one tested the positive effect of waiting line through consumers' perceived quality, whereas another one go through consumers' emotional state to test the negative effect of waiting line on purchase intention. To further understand perceived quality, the study divided perceived quality into perceived product quality and perceived service quality. The study used restaurants in the experiment. Results indicated that although long waits in line will directly increase both consumers' product quality perception and negative emotions, the total indirect effects on purchase intention are still significantly positive. For consumers' perceived service quality, long waiting situations have no such effect on it. Significant results from a moderation analysis also shown that consumers in low-level knowledge settings are more influenced by waiting lines than those in high-level knowledge settings when they make the product's quality-related judgment. However, the level of consumer knowledge does not moderate the relationship between waiting lines and service quality.

The Moderating Role of Attribution in Penalty Judgment: An Empirical Study in the Financial Service Industry

  • Many financial service organizations use various types of penalties (e.g., late payment fee, overdraft fee), often inflicting customer complaints and, in extreme cases, attrition. This study examines how customers evaluate penalties using concepts from attribution theory and literatures of social justice and customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction. The study hypothesizes that both cognitive (i.e., attribution, perceived fairness, disconfirmation) and affective (i.e., emotion) responses influence customer's penalty judgment and tests the effect of moderation between attribution and perceived fairness on penalty judgment. The study uses a cross sectional survey design and collects data using the critical incident technique. The results show that attributions have significant moderating effects on the relationship between perceived fairness and dissatisfaction with the penalty and that perceived fairness, emotion, and attribution have a significant influence on penalty evaluation. The study provides discussion of the findings and managerial implications.

How Does the Frequency of Instructor Feedback Affect Perceived Loafing and Team Performance in Team Project-Based Learning? A Moderated Mediation Approach

  • This study focuses on the instructor's role in student-centered learning and aims to test the effects and moderating role of instructor feedback on perceived loafing in team project-based learning. A conditional effect model including team efficacy, perceived loafing, instructor feedback, and team performance was proposed. Data were collected from students who registered for team project-based learning courses at a university in South Korea. A total of 420 cases were subjected to moderated mediation analysis. The results demonstrated that instructor feedback was negatively related to perceived loafing and moderated the relationship between team efficacy and perceived loafing. Furthermore, instructor feedback moderated the relationship between perceived loafing and team performance. In particular, even when perceived loafing was high, students who received frequent instructor feedback were found to significantly reduce the damage to team performance. Based on these findings, the importance of instructors' facilitation in team project-based learning is discussed.

Teenagers Consumption Within the Moderating Role of Saudis Habit Through Fuzzy Set Approach

  • The healthy products dedicated for young people are qualified as a solution to protect the future generation, especially that most commercial deals do not consider the consumer's health and environment. Therefore, it is crucial to define the antecedent of healthy purchases and to examine their impact on teenagers. This research aims to explore the antecedents and the consequences of the consumption of Saudis teenagers. Therefore, we develop a research model in the conceptual framework and the hypotheses to test. The empirical analysis required two samples from Saudis youth consumers. The first sample was utilized in the exploratory study with SPSS software. Then, the second was employed to the confirmatory part with the Amos software, as well as the validation of the hypotheses, and model with Fuzzy Set approach. The findings of this study have significant insights into the Saudi consumption and implications for both practitioners and researchers. Then, we have particularly strenuous on intention purchase antecedents of organic foods, and their consume habit moderation.

The development of a fuel lifecycle reactivity control strategy for a generic micro high temperature reactor

  • This article provides an overview of the design methodology used to develop a conceptual set of reactivity control mechanism of a micro reactor based on the U-Battery. The U-Battery is based on remote deployment and therefore it is favourable to provide a long fuel lifecycle. This is achieved by implementing a high fissile loading content, which proves challenging when considering reactivity control methods. This article follows the design methodology used to overcome these issues, with an emphasis on a new concept of a moveable moderator which utilises the size of the U-Battery as a small reduction in moderation provides a significant reduction in reactivity. The latest work on this project sees the moveable moderator investigated during a depressurised loss of forced coolant accident, where a reduction of moderator volume increases the maximum fuel temperature experienced. The overall conclusion is that the maximum fuel temperature is not significantly increased (4 K) due to the central reflector region relatively lower volumetric heat capacity compared to that of whole core. However, a small temperature increase is observed immediately after the transient due to the central reflector removal because it reaches energy equilibrium with the fuel region faster.

  • Purpose: This study explores how supplier and customer integration impact a firm's disruption absorption capability, with a focus on IT alignment moderation. Methods: We conducted surveys with 296 Chinese manufacturers and utilized hierarchical regression for analysis. Results: : Our results reveal a positive correlation between supplier/customer integration and disruption absorption capability. Additionally, positive IT alignment bolsters the relationship between supplier integration and disruption absorption capability, while it doesn't affect the link between customer integration and disruption absorption capability. Conclusion: These findings underscore the significance of integration and IT alignment for enhancing a firm's disruption absorption capability, providing crucial insights for supply chain management practitioners.

노인 영양지수 (NQ-E)를 이용한 서울 일부지역 노인의 식생활 및 영양 상태 평가 (Evaluation of the dietary quality and nutritional status of elderly people using the Nutrition Quotient for Elderly (NQ-E) in Seoul)

  • 본 연구대상자의 평균 나이는 78.6세로 75세 이상이 75.0%를 차지하였으며, 만성질환을 2개 이상 갖고 있는 노인이 55.4%였다. 가구 유형에서 독거노인의 비율이 40.7%였고, 70.6%의 노인이 식사 준비를 본인이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 전체 대상자의 평균 NQ-E 점수는 61.9점으로 전국 단위 조사와 비교하면 '중상'에 속하였다. 균형, 절제, 식행동 영역은 전국 단위 조사의 '중상'에 속하였고 다양 영역은 '중하'에 속하였다. 여자노인이 남자노인보다 절제와 식행동 영역의 점수가 높았다. 독거노인은 배우자동거노인에 비해 다양성 영역의 점수가 낮았다. 다양성 영역은 소득과 교육수준이 높은 노인의 점수가 높았고, 절제 영역은 소득수준이 낮은 노인과 2개 이상의 만성질환을 보유하고 있는 노인의 점수가 높았다. 영양 보충제를 1개 이상 섭취하는 노인이 영양지수 총점수와 균형, 다양성 및 식행동 영역의 점수가 높았다. 연구 대상자의 51.0%가 모니터링 필요군으로 영양지수 평균은 54.8점이었고, 양호군은 49.0%로 영양지수는 69.3점으로 유의하게 높았다. 본 연구대상자의 에너지, 니아신, 리보플라빈, 비타민 A의 섭취량이 EAR 미만으로 나타났고, 비타민 A, 니아신, 비타민 C, 칼슘 등은 영양권장량 대비 75% 미만으로 섭취하고 있었다. 모니터링 필요군의 1일 에너지 섭취량과 단백질, 티아민, 리보플라빈 및 비타민 C 섭취량이 양호군에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 또한 모든 영양소의 영양소 적정섭취비 (NAR)가 1 미만이었으며, 모니터링 필요군이 양호군에 비해 비타민 A, 티아민, 리보플라빈, 비타민 C, 칼슘 및 칼륨의 NAR이 유의하게 낮았다. 비타민 A, 리보플라빈, 니아신, 비타민 C, 칼슘, 칼륨의 INQ가 1보다 낮아 에너지 섭취량에 비해 부족한 영양소로 나타났다. 1일 식품섭취량에서 모니터링 필요군이 양호군에 비해 총 식품 섭취량과 채소류 및 버섯류 섭취량이 유의적으로 낮았다. 본 연구 결과 노인 영양지수가 높은 군이 낮은 군보다 24시간 회상법으로 조사한 식품섭취조사에서 단백질을 비롯한 대부분의 필수영양소 섭취 수준이 유의적으로 높은 것으로 나타나서, NQ-E가 노인의 식생활 및 영양 상태를 평가할 수 있는 타당한 도구임을 보여준다.

주관적 사회경제적 지위, 연령, 공정성 인식 간의 관계: 연령의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship between Subjective Socioeconomic Status, Age and Perception of Justice: Focusing on the Moderation Effect of Age)

  • 본 연구는 전국에 거주하는 국내 성인 남녀 508명을 대상으로 주관적 사회경제적 지위와 공정성 인식(자기 분배공정성, 자기 절차공정성, 일반 분배공정성, 일반 절차공정성)간의 관계를 알아보고, 연령(20대와 30대 이상)에 따른 조절효과가 나타나는지 검증하였다. 이를 위해 개인의 공정성 인식과 주관적 사회경제적 지위를 측정하는 자기보고식 설문조사를 진행하였으며, SPSS 27과 PROCESS Macro 4.0 프로그램을 활용하여 연구변인 간의 상관관계를 확인하고, 연령대별 연구변인의 차이를 분산분석으로 검증하여 연령구분이 타당한지 살펴본 후, 조절분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주관적 사회경제적 지위는 자기 분배공정성, 자기 절차공정성, 일반 분배공정성, 일반 절차공정성 모두와 정적인 관계를 보였으며 연령과 부적 관계를 보였다. 둘째, 연령은 자기 및 일반 분배공정성, 자기 절차공정성과 부적인 관계를 보였으며, 일반 절차공정성과의 관계는 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 연령대별 연구변인의 차이를 확인한 결과, 20대는 30대 이상과 상이한 특징을 보였으나, 30대 이상에서는 유의한 연령대별 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 자기 분배공정성과 일반 절차공정성에 대해서만 연령의 유의한 조절효과가 나타났다. 구체적으로 자기 분배공정성의 경우, 30대 이상의 집단에서 20대보다 주관적 사회경제적 지위와 자기 분배공정성의 정적 관계가 더 강하게 나타났다. 일반 절차공정성의 경우, 20대에서는 주관적 사회경제적 지위가 일반 절차공정성을 유의미하게 예측하지 못하였으나, 30대 이상의 경우 주관적 사회경제적 지위가 일반 절차공정성을 정적으로 예측하였다. 본 연구는 20대와 30대 이상의 연령대를 비교하였을 때 주관적 사회경제적 지위와 공정성 인식 간의 관계 양상이 다르게 나타남을 밝혀 주관적 사회경제적 지위와 공정성 인식에 대한 세대 간 인식 차이를 제시했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

클라우드 기반 공통협업플랫폼의 사용행동에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Use Behavior of Cloud-based Common Collaboration Platform)

  • 본 연구는 클라우드 기반 공통협업플랫폼의 사용행동을 알아보고자 실증 분석하여 결과를 도출하였다. 클라우드 기반 플랫폼의 독립변수들로 유연성, 신뢰성, 범용성, 보안성, 상호작용을 선정하였으며, UTAUT이론을 활용하여 사용의도를 매개변수로 최종적으로 사용행동을 종속변수로 선정 하였다. 조절변수로는 회사유형을 활용하였다. 가설검증은 AMOS 23.0과 SPSS 23.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 클라우드 기반 공통협업플랫폼을 사용하는 사용자들을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 총 180부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 신뢰성, 보안성, 상호작용은 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 유연성, 범용성은 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 최종적으로 사용의도는 사용행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증이 되었다. 마지막으로 회사유형에 따른 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

여성 관리자의 자기결정적 직무동기가 직무성과에 미치는 영향: 직무창의성과 창의적 자아효능감의 조절적 매개모형 (The Effects of Female Service Managers' Self-determined Motivations on Job Performance)

  • Purpose - Our primary goal of this study is to investigate the positive relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations (i.e., RAI: relative autonomy index) and job performances with the mediation of their job creativity in service industries. This study also examines the moderating role of creative efficacy on the relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations and creativities. Finally, based on mediation and moderation hypotheses, we also tested moderating effect of creative efficacy on the mediation effect of job creativity. Research design, data, and methodology - Drawing on SDT(Self-determination theory) and COR(conservation of resources) theories, we developed three research hypotheses. Service female managers from a several service organizations(i.e. banking, retailing, and restaurant/hospitality service) in South Korea were surveyed using self-administered instrument for data collection. A total of 331 usable questionnaires were obtained after list-wise deletion. To test reliability and validity of measurement model, we employed the CFA(confirmatory factor analysis) using M-plus 8.1 Software. Also, internal consistency was tested by Cronbach's α. We, furthermore, used the SPSS PROCESS MACRO 2.16, which was suggested by Hayes (2013; 2015), to test mediation, moderation, and moderated mediation. Results - Our results revealed that self-determined motivation and job performance were positively and fully mediated by job creativity. Furthermore, the positive relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations and job creativities was stronger when their creative self-efficacies were high than when it was low. In addition, female managers' creative self-efficacies also amplified the positive relationship between their self-determined motivations and job performances with the mediation of job creativity. Conclusions - Our research empirically elaborated the previous model of self-determined motivation and manager/female creativity literature by presenting the findings that female managers' self-determined motivations significantly influence their job performances via job creativity and that creative self-efficacy effectively strengthen these positive impacts. Also, our research offered new insight for practitioners (i.e. top service managers) by suggesting that they may enhance female service managers' job performance if they pay more attention to employee creativity in service marketing.
