This paper presents the method of emergency warning system operation based on T-DMB and the design of T-DMB AEAS receiver model. The proposed receiver model compares the geographical location of emergency with the location of DMB transmitting station from T-DMB broadcasting signal and classifies the receiver location into alert region, neighboring region and non-alert region and transmits the emergency alert message according to each region. The geographical location of emergency can be obtained from FIG 5/2 EWS data field for AEAS message and the location of DMB transmitting station can be estimated from either the latitude and the longitude in main identifier and sub identifier in FIG 0/22 data filed for TII(Transmitter Identification Information) or TII distribution database. In our experiment, we implemented the proposed receiver model with display section, storage section, DMB module for receiving broadcasting signal and control section and performed test emergency alert broadcasting using T-DMB signal generator.

Due to explosive growth of mobile data traffic, many kind of techniques based on small cell is proposed as solution for phenomenon. However, those techniques essentially demands increase of backhaul capacity and causes performance degradation if not satisfied. Based on that, the approach applying the storage capacity in place of backhaul capacity, which is known as femto-caching, is proposed to reduce data downloading delay of users in system. In this paper, we expanded previous research by proposing file placement strategy with distribution of user position, which is more practical scenario. Simulation results verify that our proposed scheme has better performance gains mainly because when coverage of helpers are overlapped, users get more opportunity to connect various helpers which enables users to download a variety kind of files from helpers, not base station.

In this paper, we propose a private multimedia caching scheme based on wireless local area network (WLAN) to improve the quality of service for high capacity and high quality multimedia streaming services which are recently increasing and to reduce the traffic load of core networks. The proposed caching scheme stores multimedia in the storage device mounted on WLAN APs and provides streaming services on its own without Internet connection in accordance with the request from clients. We have implemented a test network based on real commercial networks and measured the performance of the proposed caching scheme in terms of frames per second (FPS) and buffering time. According to the performance measurement results, the proposed caching scheme can reduce the average buffering time by 73.3% compared to the conventional streaming scheme. In addition, the proposed caching scheme can also improve the average FPS by 71.3% compared to the conventional streaming scheme.

Lithium-ion battery (LIB) is one of the most important rechargeable battery and portable energy storage for the electric digital devices. In particular, study about the higher energy capacity and longer cycle life is intensively studied because of applications in mobile electronics and electric vehicles. Generally, the LIB's capacity can be improved by replacing anode materials with high capacitance. The graphite, common anode materials, has a good cyclability but shows limitations of capacity (~374 mAh/g). On the contrary, silicon (Si) and germanium(Ge), which is same group elements, are promising candidate for high-performance LIB electrodes because it has a higher theoretical specific capacity. (Si:4200 mAh/g, Ge:1600 mAh/g) However, it is well known that Si volume change by 400% upon full lithiation (lithium insertion into Si), which result in a mechanical pulverization and poor capacity retention during cycling. Therefore, variety of nanostructure group IV elements, including nanoparticles, nanowires, and hollow nanospheres, can be promising solution about the critical issues associated with the large volume change. However, the fundamental research about correlation between the composition and structure for LIB anode is not studied yet. Herein, we successfully synthesized various structure of nanowire such as Si-Ge, Ge-Carbon and Si-graphene core-shell types and analyzed the properties of LIB. Nanowires (NWs) were grown on stainless steel substrates using Au catalyst via VLS (Vapor Liquid Solid) mechanism. And, core-shell NWs were grown by VS (Vapor-Solid) process on the surface of NWs. In order to characterize it, we used FE-SEM, HR-TEM, and Raman spectroscopy. We measured battery property of various nanostructures for checking the capacity and cyclability by cell-tester.
According to the size of NAND flash memory as the storage system of mobile device becomes large, the performance of address translation and life cycle management in FTL (Flash Translation Layer) to interact with file system becomes very important. In this paper, we propose the continuity counters, which represent the number of continuous physical blocks whose logical addresses are consecutive, to reduce the number of address translation. Furthermore we propose the prefetching method which preloads frequently accessed pages into main memory to enhance I/O performance of flash memory. Besides, we use the 2-bit write prediction and asynchronous writing method to predict addresses repeatedly referenced from host and prevent from writing overhead. The experiments show that the proposed method improves the I/O performance and extends the life cycle of flash memory. As a result, proposed CFTL (Clustered Flash Translation Layer)'s performance of address translation is faster 20% than conventional FTLs. Furthermore, CFTL is reduced about 50% writing time than that of conventional FTLs.

In the era of big data, not only structured data well organized in databases, but also the Internet, social network services, it is very important to effectively analyze unstructured big data such as web documents, e-mails, and social data generated in real time in mobile environment. Big data analysis is the process of creating new value by discovering meaningful new correlations, patterns, and trends in big data stored in data storage. We intend to summarize and visualize the analysis results through frequency analysis of unstructured article data using R language, a big data analysis tool. The data used in this study was analyzed for total 104 papers in the Mon-May 2021 among the journals of the Korea Institute of Information and Communication Engineering. In the final analysis results, the most frequently mentioned keyword was "Data", which ranked first 1,538 times. Therefore, based on the results of the analysis, the limitations of the study and theoretical implications are suggested.

As the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and big data have received a lot of attention as key growth engines in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, data acquisition and utilization in mobile, automotive, robotics, manufacturing, agriculture, health care and national defense are becoming more important. Due to numerous data-based industrial changes, demand for sensor technologies is exploding, especially for intelligent sensor technologies that combine control, judgement, storage and communication functions with the sensors's own functions. Intelligent sensor technology can be defined as a convergence component technology that combines intelligent sensor units, intelligent algorithms, modules with signal processing circuits, and integrated plaform technologies. Intelligent sensor technology, which can be applied to variety of smart IT convergence services such as smart devices, smart homes, smart cars, smart factory, smart cities, and others, is evolving towards intelligent and convergence technologies that produce new high-value information through recognition, reasoning, and judgement based on artificial intelligence. As a result, development of intelligent sensor units is accelerating with strategies for miniaturization, low-power consumption and convergence, new form factor such as flexible and stretchable form, and integration of high-resolution sensor arrays. In the future, these intelligent sensor technologies will lead explosive sensor industries in the era of data-based artificial intelligence and will greatly contribute to enhancing nation's competitiveness in the global sensor market. In this report, we analyze and summarize the recent trends in intelligent sensor technologies, especially those for four core technologies.
The 5G network is a next-generation converged network that combines various ICT technologies to realize the need for high speed, hyper connection and ultra low delay, and various efforts have been made to address the security vulnerabilities of the previous generation mobile networks. However, the standards released so far still have potential security vulnerabilities, such as USIM deception and replication attack, message re-transmission attack, and race-condition attack. In order to solve these security problems, this paper proposes a new 5G-AKA protocol with PUF technology, which is a physical unclonable function. The proposed PUF-based 5G-AKA improves the security vulnerabilities identified so far using the device-specific response for a specific challenge and hash function. This approach enables a strong white-list policy through the addition of inexpensive PUF circuits when utilizing 5G networks in areas where security is critical. In addition, since additional cryptographic algorithms are not applied to existing protocols, there is relatively little burden on increasing computational costs or increasing authentication parameter storage.

Recently, as the growth of the Internet has led to a rapid increase in the consumption of multimedia such as photographs and moving images, the importance of metadata has been emphasized. In the case of existing metadata, only limited information such as GPS value or focal length according to the format is stored. However, with the development of mobile devices and multimedia acquisition devices, various sensors can be used in the devices. Therefore, this paper describes a method that can store not only the existing metadata format information at the time of multimedia acquisition but also another existing format of metadata such as information of various sensors which is the gyroscope and acceleration sensor of the device. We propose an application program that provides moving location information. The proposed method is expected to provide various applications such as image matching and effective image classification.
