  • Among the activities of 3GPP for operating 5G-based unmanned aerial vehicles, we introduce several use cases of UAVs in 5G mobile communication such as radio access node onboard UAV, simultaneous support data transmission for UAVs and eMBB users, autonomous UAVs controlled by AI, isolated deployment of radio access through UAV, and separation of UAV service area. From this, we further summarize 5G mobile communication requirements for UAVs, including definition and operational criteria of UAS, UAS remote identification requirements, UAS usage requirements, and performance requirements. Finally, regarding 5G mobile communication-based UAS connectivity, identification and tracking support, we discuss the 3GPP UAV architecture, seven major problems, the proposed solutions to each problem, and propose the results for future specification work.

  • This paper is about adult certification on Mobile RFID Service Environments coming through the combination of RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology, as the core technology of ubiquitous environments, and mobile telecommunication technology. To overcome the shortcoming of simple adult certification on current internet, we suggest a framework for content-based classification and propose an adult certification system using it. At first, we explain conventional methods for adult certification, and show a criteria of content-based classification for preventing an exposure of adult contents from minors. Additionally, we describe data structure and system for the proposed adult certification on mobile RFID environment, and finish it with concluding remarks.

  • In this paper, the analysis of mobile augmented reality service using 5G network are provided. First of all, the introduction and required performance of mobile augmented reality(MAr) service are provided. After that, 5G network key features, target performance, and network architecture are analyzed. At the end, the additional network entity and functions for the realization of mobile augmented reality service are proposed. The mobile augmented reality service time. At the end, the service delay in existing LTE system and proposed 5G MAr system by using real device and network parameters.

  • In this paper, performance of multicode DS/CDMA packet radio network with adaptive antenna array is analyzed and simulated in a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. The network performance is evaluated in terms of packet throughput. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the adaptive antenna array is very effective in improving the packet throughput performance of the multicode DS/CDMA packet radio network. The results of this paper can be applied to design of IMT-2000 or future-generation mobile communication systems.

  • Bluetooth, in radio network environment, is a small local radio communication that is available with low expense and little power use. It is specified for the wireless connect in a small area between Network Excess Point, portable devices such as mobile phones. PDAs and portable PCs, and other per peripheral equipment. Bluetooth is consisted of a master and a piconet having seven slaves in a maximum and finally has a scatternet gathering lot of piconet. The thesis tries to design the most effective structure of a scatternet by the number of nodes and the type of scatternet such as linear and ring for its mechanism. then the performance evaluation is realized through the Bluehoc simulator based on the NS. Finally the most appropriate radio network environment is made by the comparison and analysis of the characteristics of liner and ring scatternets.

  • Currently, the technique of identifying location using radio wave fingerprint is widely used in indoor positioning field. At this time, in order to confirm a successful position, it is necessary to construct the data necessary for learning and testing and to construct the multidimensional data. That is, location data collection and data management technology capable of responding to environmental changes that may occur due to various changes in peripheral radio wave fingerprint such as wireless AP, BLE iBeacon, and mobile terminal are required. Therefore, this paper proposes a technique to construct and manage multidimensional data which is less sensitive to environmental changes of radio wave fingerprinting required for positioning.

  • In this paper, we investigate the interworking method between three transport mechanisms, that is, ATM transport, IP$_v$4 transport and Ip$_v$6transport, where these mechanisms are wholly used in a Mobile RAN (Radio Access Network). The proposed interworking method, called Triple Capable Node, is to implement three transport mechanisms simultaneously in a single node so that the node can communicate directly to other nodes having various transport mechanisms by using one of three transport mechanisms. In addition, we propose a dynamic algorithm which selects one among multiple transport mechanisms at run time in order to achieve better communication performance.

  • The advantages of using analogue optical networks for delivering radio signals from a central location to many remote antenna sites have been recognized. In a telecommnications context, radio signals may be for fixed radio access, cordless or mobile networks, but the same principles apply. By making use of the high bandwidth, low loss characteristics of optical fiber, all high frequency and signal processing functions can be performed centrally and signals can then be transported over the optical network directly at the carrier frequency. The remote sites then become very simple, requiring only optoelectronic conversion, filtering and linear amplification. This shifting of the complex functionality away from the remote site allow cheap, reliable, small and light-weight radio access points with low power consumption to be deployed. In this paper, we show that an electroabsorption modulation(EAM) may be used as a single component in such a radio access point, as a passive transceiver for small-sized cell(picocells).
