Finite difference schemes are considered for a $Ca^{2+}$ diffusion equations, which discribe $Ca^{2+}$ buffering by using stationary and mobile buffers. Stability and $L^\infty$ error estimates of approximate solutions for the corresponding schemes are obtained using the extended Lax-Richtmyer equivalence theorem.
Due to the advantage of RP-HPLC with a variety of compositions of mobile phases, experiments on water-soluble charged species were examined. The samples were mononucleotides (5-CMP, 5-UMP, 5-GMP, 5-IMP, 5-AMP), and the buffers used were sodium phosphate monobasic and acetic acid. The concentrations of buffers ranged from 0.01 to 10 mM, while that of the methanol, an additive to the mobile phase was 5 to 20 vol.%. To predict the retention factor of a sample in terms of its methanol composition (M, vol.%) and buffer(C(sub)B, mM), the following nonlinear equation is suggested, k= $\frac{a+b C_B}{(1+c C_B) M^d}($ where a, b, c, and d were experimentally determined constants. The regression coefficients were above 0.96, and the agreement between experimental and calculated retention factors were relatively good.
The document discusses the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere ion-exchange columns in chromatography. It mentions that column efficiency can diminish with use due to the accumulation of sample and/or mobile phase impurities at the head of the column. This can lead to a change in back pressure, lower column efficiency, and sometimes a change in selectivity. The document outlines a procedure that may restore column performance. The document also provides everyday practices to enhance the lifetime of a column. These include using only high-purity HPLC solvents and buffers, using freshly prepared mobile phases and buffers, filtering mobile phases to remove particulates, using appropriate sample clean-up procedures, using a guard column or pre-column filter, and working within the pressure and flow rate limitations of the column. For the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere SAX, SCX, WAX, and WCX columns, the document suggests passing 20 column volumes of various mobile phases through the column. These include a buffer wash, distilled water, an acid wash, a chelating wash, a methanol wash, and a buffer for separation. The document emphasizes that not all of these wash steps are required for every column clean-up and that some chromatographers require only a combination of certain steps.

NAND flash memories have the advantages of fast access speed, high density and low power consumption, thus they have increasing demand in embedded system and mobile environment. Despite the low power and fast speed gains of NAND flash memory, DRAM disk buffers were used because of the performance load and limited durability of NAND flash cell. However, DRAM disk buffers are not suitable for limited energy environments due to their high static energy consumption. In this paper, we propose WAP-LRU (Write pattern Analysis based Placement by LRU) hybrid disk buffer management policy. Our policy designates the buffer location in the hybrid memory by analyzing write pattern of the workloads to check the continuity of the page operations. In our simulation, WAP-LRU increased the lifetime of NAND flash memory by reducing the number of garbage collections by 63.1% on average. In addition, energy consumption is reduced by an average of 53.4% compared to DRAM disk buffers.

In this paper, we present a set of methodologies to model the electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) testing of I/O buffers for mobile system memory based on the bulk current injection (BCI) method. An efficient equivalent circuit model is developed for the current injection probe, line impedance stabilization network (LISN), printed circuit board (PCB), and package. The simulation results show good correlation with the measurements and thus, the work presented here will enable electromagnetic susceptibility analysis at the integrated circuit (IC) design stage.
Realtime applications like VoIP(Voice over IP) in All-IP networks need smooth handoffs in order to minimize or eliminate packet loss as a Mobile Host(MH) transitions between network links. In this paper, we design a new dynamic buffering(DB) mechanism for IPv6 by which an MH can request that the router on its current subnet buffers packets on its behalf while the MH completes registration procedures with the router of a new subnet. Performance results show that our proposed buffering scheme with a dynamic buffer space allocation is quite appropriate for mobile Internet, or the All-IP environment in terms of the datagram loss rate.
Multimedia applications have an ability to transmit a lot of data in real time. In mobile circumstances the replay of continuous multimedia data in real time causes frequent replay breaks and poor service quality because of low transmission speed and new transmission path settings in hand-off. To avoid these unfavorable side effects, we need a new mechanism which can transmit data efficiently between base station and mobile hosts, to control the buffers of mobile hosts, and to switch to a new transmission path rapidly in hand-off. The study is to propose how to give good service to mobile hosts during hand-off and the mechanism which can increase the number of mobile hosts in the cell unit.

Performance results show that our proposed queueing scheme with a variable space allocation is quite appropriate for mobile internet environment in terms of the packet loss rate.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of parental monitoring on the relationship between children's dependency on mobile phones and control of learning behavior. The data came from the 2010 Korean Children and Youth Panel (N = 1,609) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling by using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 7.0. To test the significant moderating effects, Ping's two-step technique, which is free from the requirement of nonlinear constraints, was used. Our results demonstrated that children's dependency on mobile phones had negative effects on control of learning behavior, and the interaction effects between such dependency and parental monitoring affected the control of learning behavior. Thus, these results proved the moderating effects of parental monitoring in the control of learning behavior. This study suggests that parental monitoring buffers against having difficulties to control and adjust one's behavior associated with control of learning behavior, which is affected by the dependency on mobile phones among children. We discussed that the risks of children's dependency on mobile phones and parental monitoring should be acknowledge as a significant protective factor.
