롤러다짐 댐 콘크리트의 효율적인 배합비 도출에 관한 연구 (Mix Proportions of Concrete for Roller Compacted Concrete Dam Application)

  • Roller-compacted concrete(RCC) dam have gained acceptance worldwide in a relatively short time due to their low cost, which is derived in part from their rapid method of construction. And RCC has recently emerged as an economically attractive material for dam construction, replacing the use of conventional concrete and even challenging the economics of earthfill and rockfill embankment dams. There are existing two major mix design methods. one used in USA and the other used in Japan. In this study, proper mix proportions of concrete for RCC dam is obtained using method of compound their merit.

  • This paper presents a study on the selection of optimal mix proportions for producing lightweight pre-foam concrete as a substitute for Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) without the accelerated curing. The study was conducted using a rapid hardening binder made from by-products of the steel industry as the primary raw material. The experimental results established the optimal mix proportions, which included retarder content, water/binder ratio, foam content, and fiber inclusion amount, for the production of lightweight foam concrete. The optimal mix proportion was determined to have a retarder content at the minimum amount required to secure the working time, W/B of 35%, a foam content limited to 65% or less, and a fiber inclusion amount of 0.05% or less.

  • This research investigates experimentally an effect on the quality performances of the high flowing concrete according to binder types. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum mix proportion of the high flowing concrete having good flowability, viscosity and no-segregation. For this purpose, two types using belite cement+lime stone powder(LSP) and furnace slag cement+lime stone powder are selected and tested by design factors including water cement ratio, fine and coarse aggregate volume ratio. As test results of this study, the optimum mix proportion for binder types is as followings. 1) One type based belite cement ; water cement ratio $51^{\circ}C$, fine aggregate volume ratio $43^{\circ}C$ and coarse aggregate volume ratio $53^{\circ}C$, replacement ratio of LSP $42.7^{\circ}C$. 2) Another type based slag cement : water cement ratio $41^{\circ}C$, fine aggregate volume ratio $47^{\circ}C$ and coarse aggregate volume ratio $53^{\circ}C$, replacement ratio of LSP $13.5^{\circ}C$.

  • In this study, to increase fluidity and resistance of segregation of materials, the effect of each of the materials, which have effects on high performance concrete from investigating the properties of strength and drying shrinkage of high performance concrete made by the basic mix proportion used fly-ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag after hardening, has been checked. According to the experimental results, fluidity on W/C = 34% was satisfied within slump-flow 65$\pm$ 5cm and U-type self-compactability difference 5cm. On the properties of strength, high performance concrete produced compressive strength over 400kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in 28days when powder was replaced by 40% of fly-ash and 60% of ground granulated blast-furnace slag. And compressive strength was taken over 600kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ equal to non-replacement in 91days. Also, the length change of concrete with the addition of fly-ash was smaller than that without it. Therefore, it may be effective on the decrease of drying shrinkage volume.

  • In order to obtain improved concrete mix proportion on nuclear power plant structures, the properties of normal concrete is compared with self-compacting concrete. In addition, various mixes of self-compacting concrete utilizing melaminic acid based admixture is mutually compared and estimated. Because existing normal concrete mixes might occur high temperature in concrete structure, A new multi-component concrete, which declines hydration heat, is demanded. Therefore, in this study, the possibility of manufacturing self-compacting concrete is verified and what influences melaminic acid and various powders have on the properties of self-compacting concrete are investigated.

  • While member sections of concrete structures of nuclear power plant are big, water-cement ratio is small. Consequently, the huge amount of heat generation and high viscosity could be occurred. These might reduce constructibility of nuclear power plant. In order to obtain improved concrete mix proportion on nuclear power plant structures, the properties of normal concrete is compared with self-compacting concrete. In addition, various mixes of self-compacting concrete utilizing polycarboxylic acid based admixture is mutually compared and estimated.

  • Many researches have been carried out on development of high-strength concrete, but most researches have been focused on building structures such as a high-rise building. However today, the demand of high-strength concrete for civil structures like a PSC bridge is increasing steadily. In addition, the current design code based on experimental results of normal strength concrete needs to be modified for high-strength concrete structures. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a research on mechanical properties and mix proportion of high-strength concrete suitable for PSC bridges. The primary purpose of this study was to develop the high-strength concrete mixtures which can be applied to PSC bridges and to evaluate mechanical properties of high-strength concrete.

  • 이 논문에서는 ECC를 압출성형 방식으로 제조하기 위한 배합, 제조과정, 그리고 양생방법을 제시하고, 배합에 따른 휨 성능과 섬유 분포 특성 평가를 수행하였다. 실험결과 배합에 따라 섬유 분포특성이 달라지며, 이러한 섬유 분포 특성에 따라 휨거동에 차이가 발생하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In this study, a replacement ratio of blast furnace slag coarse aggregate and a water binder ratio by an optimum combination of PHC file was investigated. As a results, the target strength 78.5MPa was altogether satisfied in a mix proportion 28-G100-SG0 and W/B ratio 26 %. The surface rupture was generated in 28-G0-SG100 combination after curing with the autoclave. According to the result of measuring the ingredient, the majority were the MgOH2 hydrate.

  • Recently the use of the antiwashout underwater concrete with the antiwashout admixture is increased considerably. Antiwashout underwater concrete is quite different in concept from conventional underwater concrete. By mixing an antiwashout admixture with concrete, the viscosity of the concrete is increased and its resistance to segregation under the washing action of water is enhanced. The aims of this research is statistically evaluated to mix proportion factor of antiwashout underwater concrete. Experiment was performed to analyze the influence variables(cement, water, and antiwashout admixture) on fundamental characteristics of antiwashout underwater concrete. The influence variables can be considered for use in a wide range of underwater work where their have statistically significant effect on the characteristics(fluidity, filling ability, resistance to washout, etc.) of antiwashout underwater concrete.
