Design and Analysis of Fabrication Threat Management in Peer-to-Peer Collaborative Location Privacy

  • Information security reports four types of basic attacks on information. One of the attacks is named as fabrication. Even though mobile devices and applications are showing its maturity in terms of performance, security and ubiquity, location-based applications still faces challenges of quality of service, privacy, integrity, authentication among mobile devices and hence mobile users associated with the devices. There is always a continued fear as how location information of users or IoT appliances is used by third party LB Service providers. Even adversary or malicious attackers get hold of location information in transit or fraudulently hold this information. In this paper, location information fabrication scenarios are presented after knowing basic model of information attacks. Peer-to-Peer broadcast model of location privacy is proposed. This document contains introduction to fabrication, solutions to such threats, management of fabrication mitigation in collaborative or peer to peer location privacy and its cost analysis. There are various infrastructure components in Location Based Services such as Governance Server, Point of interest POI repository, POI service, End users, Intruders etc. Various algorithms are presented and analyzed for fabrication management, integrity, and authentication. Moreover, anti-fabrication mechanism is devised in the presence of trust. Over cost analysis is done for anti-fabrication management due to nature of various cryptographic combinations.

SDGs 연계 교육에서 예비 지구과학 교사들의 탄소 소양 (Carbon Literacy on Education in Connection with SDGs of the Pre-service Earth Science Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 지구과학교육을 전공하는 예비교사들에게 SDGs(지속가능발전목표)와 연계된 ESD(지속가능발전교육)을 적용하기 위한 기초 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 예비교사가 내면화 하고 있는 탄소발자국에 대한 인식과 태도 및 지식, 주관적 규범 및 행동 통제를 분석하여 탄소 소양을 평가하는 것이다. 예비교사들은 탄소 발자국을 자신의 책임으로 인식하고 있지만, 비용을 지불하고 불편을 감수하는데 소극적인 이중적 태도를 갖고 있다. 또한 탄소 발자국을 줄이기 위한 행동을 지지하지만, 요구하지는 않는다. 탄소 저감 행동에 대한 상식은 충분한 반면, 지구 온난화의 원인과 결과에 대한 개념은 불안정하다. 예비교사들은 학교 현장으로 배출되어 수많은 학생들에게 지구 온난화 문제를 가르치게 될 것이다. 따라서 탄소 발자국을 줄이는 경제적 비용과 사회적 책임에 대한 소양 교육이 필수적이며, 생각과 행동 사이의 간극을 메울 수 있는 방법을 찾아야 할 것이다. 예비교사들의 탄소 소양(carbon literacy)에 대한 연구로부터 ESD로 이어지는 교육이 실현되기를 바란다.

'선한 사마리아인 법'에 따른 민사책임의 감경 - 응금의료에 관한 법률 제5조의2을 중심으로 - (Exemption from Civil Liability in the Good Samaritan Law)

  • In this paper the good Samaritan civil liability is argued. In many cases some damage could be caused by an emergency medical service. In such situations the degree of duty of care taken by the service provider would be alleviated depending upon the degree of emergency. Then the service provided by anyone not carrying any duty to do so could be generally ruled by the 'Korean Civil Act' Article 735. This article is related to the management of affairs in urgency. The application of this article means the mitigation of civil liability of the service provider. If the service provider not carrying any duty to provide it "has managed the affairs" of the service "in order to protect the" victim "against an imminent danger to the latter's life", the provider "shall not be liable for any damages caused thereby, unless he acted intentionally or with gross negligence". Korea has another rule applied in such a situation, that is the Korean 'Emergency Medical Service Act' Article 5-2. This article is established for the exemption from responsibility for well-intentioned emergency medical service. It could be referred to as the Good Samaritan law. It provides: "In cases where no intention or gross negligence is committed on the property damage and death or injury caused by giving any emergency medical service or first-aid treatment falling under any of the following subparagraphs to an emergency patient whose life is in jeopardy, the relevant actor shall not take the civil liability ${\cdots}$" In this paper the two articles is compared in the viewpoints of the requirements for and effects of the application of them respectively. The 'Korean Civil Act' Article 735 is relatively general rule against the the Korean 'Emergency Medical Service Act' Article 5-2 in the same circumstance. Therefore the former could be resorted to only if any situation could not satisfy the requisites for the application of the latter. In this paper it has suggested that the former article be more specific for the accuracy of making decision to apply it; and that the latter be revise in some requirements including the victim, the service provider, and the service.

Utilizing OpenFlow and sFlow to Detect and Mitigate SYN Flooding Attack

  • Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new technology in computer network area which enables user to centralize control plane. The security issue is important in computer network to protect system from attackers. SYN flooding attack is one of Distributed Denial of Service attack methods which are popular to degrade availability of targeted service on Internet. There are many methods to protect system from attackers, i.e. firewall and IDS. Even though firewall is designed to protect network system, but it cannot mitigate DDoS attack well because it is not designed to do so. To improve performance of DDOS mitigation we utilize another mechanism by using SDN technology such as OpenFlow and sFlow. The methodology of sFlow to detect attacker is by capturing and sum cumulative traffic from each agent to send to sFlow collector to analyze. When sFlow collector detect some traffics as attacker, OpenFlow controller will modify the rule in OpenFlow table to mitigate attacks by blocking attack traffic. Hence, by combining sum cumulative traffic use sFlow and blocking traffic use OpenFlow we can detect and mitigate SYN flooding attack quickly and cheaply.

  • 지방국토관리청이나 지자체에서는 하천의 관리, 이용, 개발, 치수 및 수질 보전을 위해 매년 국가하천 및 지방 1 2급 하천에 대한 하천정비기본계획을 실시하고 있으며, 하천정비기본계획보고서와 대장 등이 성과물로써 납품되고 있다. 그러나, 2003년도 이전에 실시된 하천정비기본계획의 경우, 보고서 및 대장 등 성과물이 체계적으로 관리되지 못하여, 건교부 및 지자체 등과 같은 정부부처와 정부투자기관, 대학 및 연구소와 하천협회 등과 같은 자료의 활용빈도가 높은 전문가 집단에서 본 자료를 활용하는데 많은 제약이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 하천정비기본계획 자료의 데이터베이스 구축을 통한 체계적인 관리와 웹 시스템을 통한 효율적인 정보제공이 가능하도록 2005년에 구축된 하천정비기본계획보고서 정보제공시스템을 소개하고자 한다.

수해경험 노인의 인적자원과 서비스 활용에 관한 연구 (The Use of Human Resource and Emergency Service of Elderly Affected by Flood Disaster)

  • This study aimed to suggest the way to support flood disaster older survivors with analysing how relief services and their human resources are used. For this study, the data was collected from 184 elderly aged over 65 years from Inje and Pyungchang in Gangwon province where lots of flood damages were done. The results of the study was elderly used human resources of public servant/military soldiers, volunteers as public or official services than as private resources. These results provide the evidence that public or official human resources are very helpful to control their emergency situations because there is hardly any use of their private human resources except for assistance from their family. And it shows that older people are willing to use services of life rescue and information services of their family members safety rather than basic supplies, medical care or medicine providing. With this findings we suggest informing the news of family safety including basic necessaries are highly signigicant. Thus, it is useful for disaster planners to understand building immediate life rescue and accurate information delivery systems. These are relevant to older adults' psychological well-being, thus, providing news of family safety including offering material resources are highly needed for older disaster survivors.

도시하천방재를 위한 지능형 모니터링에 관한 연구 (Monitoring Technology for Flood Forecasting in Urban Area)

  • Up to now, a lot of houses, roads and other urban facilities have been damaged by natural disasters such as flash floods and landslides. It is reported that the size and frequency of disasters are growing greatly due to global warming. In order to mitigate such disaster, flood forecasting and alerting systems have been developed for the Han river, Geum river, Nak-dong river and Young-san river. These systems, however, do not help small municipal departments cope with the threat of flood. In this study, a real-time urban flood forecasting service (U-FFS) is developed for ubiquitous computing city which includes small river basins. A test bed is deployed at Tan-cheon in Gyeonggido to verify U-FFS. It is found that U-FFS can forecast the water level of outlet of river basin and provide real-time data through internet during heavy rain. Furthermore, it is expected that U-FFS presented in this study can be applied to ubiquitous computing city (u-City) and/or other cities which have suffered from flood damage for a long time.

Signals' Influence on Crowd Funding Investment Decisions: A comparison of Taiwan and India

  • Crowd funding faces a number of significant obstacles despite its rapid growth and popularity, with the main one being the possible asymmetric information between fundraisers and potential supporters. A study taxonomy based on signalling theory has been created to compare projects originating from Taiwan and India. This was made possible by obtaining a dataset from the crowd funding website, Kickstarter (Global platform). To make the project effective, the study's goal is to look into how signals (e.g., goal-setting, comments, and updates) might be used to reduce the problem of information asymmetry. Thus, we applied an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression. Both Taiwan and India demonstrated signal mitigation of information asymmetry, but Taiwan showed a stronger relationship between ambitious goals and successful projects than India. The relative importance of project comments has been found to be stronger in Taiwan than in India; the relative importance of project updates has been found to be weaker and negatively correlated with project success in India, in contrast to Taiwan. Notably, our findings provide a theoretical and practical framework for understanding and using signals in successful crowd funding campaigns and activities in these two emerging countries.

저전단변형율에서의 불포화화강풍화토의 동적 거동 (Dynamic Behavior of Unsaturated Decomposed Granite Soils under Low Shear Strain Amplitude)

  • 일반적인 구조물의 경우 사용하중 상태에서 지반이 경험하는 변형율 범위는 1% 미만이고 대부분의 지반이 0.01% 이하의 저변형율 거동을 나타내는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구는 불포화 화강풍화토의 저변형율에서의 동적 거동에 미치는 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 수원지역의 시료를 사용하여 간극비 및 구속응력을 달리하고 그에 따른 포화도별로 공진주시험을 시행하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 감쇠비의 최소값은 최대전단탄성 계수의 경우와 마찬가지로 구속압에 관계없이 간극비에 따라 대략 $17{\sim}18%$에서 발생하였으며, 이 또한 최적포화도에서 표면장력의 영향으로 감쇠비가 가장 작게 나타나는 것으로 판단된다.

시간에 따른 부식열화가 고려된 피로취약도 곡선을 이용한 강교의 손상 평가 (Damage Estimation of Steel Bridge Members by Fatigue Vulnerability Curves Considering Deterioration due to Corrosion with Time)

  • 본 연구에서는 강교 부재를 대상으로 시간에 따른 부식과 교통량(트럭통행량)의 변화 영향을 반영한 피로 취약도 평가 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 통해 부식과 교통량 변화를 고려할 수 있는 피로에 대한 한계상태함수를 설정하였다. 부식의 영향은 평균부식깊이와 피로강도감소계수와의 관계를 이용하여 한계상태함수에서 피로저항의 감소로써 반영되었다. 트럭통행량의 변화는 세 가지 대표적인 변화양상을 설정하여 기간별로 실제 변화에 맞게 모델링함으로써 한계상태함수에서 하중의 증가로 반영되었다. Monte-Carlo 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 신뢰성 해석을 수행하도록 하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 시간이력 피로 취약도 곡선을 도출하였다. 검증예제와 실제 국내 강교에 적용하여 제안된 피로 취약도 평가방법을 검증하였다.
