Development of Homemade Dye Laser (색소레이저의 국산화 개발에 관한 연구)

  • It is desirable to establish a fundamental basis of dye laser technology in korea. Except the special wavelength mirrors, all parts of the dye laser were assembled using domestically available materials and the interior technology. The characteristics of pumping light of Ar discharge tube, fluorescence light of Rhodamine 6G and output pulses of the homemade dye laser were investigated by means of CRO and spectroscopic analysis.

  • In this note, companion to the paper [10], we describe an alternative method for finding Laurent polynomials mirror-dual to complete intersections in Grassmannians of planes, in the sense discussed in [10]. This calculation follows a general method for finding torus charts on Hori-Vafa mirrors to complete intersections in toric varieties, detailed in [5] generalising the method of [8].

  • Vehicle has two kinds of mirrors to check the rear. Especially inner rear-view mirror(room mirror) is easy to vibrate. A vibration of vehicle inner rear-view mirror affects safe driving. This study presents both of analysis of cause of mirror vibration and resolution in order to improve that throughout analysis by elasticity theory, FEM, and test.

  • A wide angle propagation techinque is formulated through an expansion of the Holmholtz operator followed by a Pade expansion and factorization of the resulting polynomials. Its accuracy is checked through the successful modeling of integrated waveguide turning mirrors, indicating that 6-th order polynomial can handle as large as 55$^{\circ}$tilt angle very accurately.

Intracavity frequency doubling of a slab Nd:YAG laser pumped by high power diode laser array

  • A high power diode-array-pumped slab Nd:YAG laser is described. The resonator consists of three mirrors in folded geometry. The laser is operated in acousto-optic Q-switching mode and intracavity frequency doubling is tried. We demonstrate that the laser exhibits frequency doubling efficiency of ∼60% with a type I LBO crystal.

  • The projection-type integral imaging system using mirror array is studied at the viewpoint of the aperture ratio of system. The aperture ratio which is determined by the relation of the specifications of the projection lens and the elemental mirrors affects the viewing quality of integral imaging system. This factors play an important role in the system design.

  • A novel 1.2V class-AB output stage for the SW-OpAmp technique was presented. By using current mirrors and simple current extraction circuits, the proposed circuit boosts DM signal currents while eliminates CM ones to perform class-AB operation. Hspice simulation results verify the versatility of the proposed circuit technique.

  • This paper reports on the measurement of angle between micro mirror and substrate in. the Micro Optical Cross Connect(MOXC). MOXC consists of beam collimators and $N{\times}N$ micro mirrors that are fabricated by using MEMS technology. Using subpixel level image processing, it is possible to measure the angle with the resolution of 0.27$^{\circ}$.

  • This paper introduce a new touchless fingerprint sensor. Two mirrors are used to capture the side fingerprint images which cannot detectable using a single camera. We also propose the techniques which can solve the image contrast, nonuniform illumination, DOF(Depth of Field) problems. This new sensor leads to bringing new challenges in the field of fingerprint recognition.
