데이터마이닝을 이용한 공군 무기정비병의 조기 숙달을 위한 배속방안 연구 (An Effective Recruits' Assignment Method for Early Job Adaptation of Air-munition Maintenance Airmen Using Datamining Technique)

  • Recently, the military service period has been shortened continuously. Meanwhile, more skilled airmen are needed as the complexity of weapon systems increase. This phenomenon could lead to a disastrous result such as deteriorating the level of the readiness and the fighting power. We suggest a method to improve recruit's maintenance capability rapidly by assigning airmen to jobs appropriate to their characteristics using Datamining methods (K-menas and CART). We focus on the assigning method for air force's air-munition maintenance airmen since they are requested more skilled than other airmen. Grouping airmen with k-means method and devising classification rule with CART algorithm, we found that airmen's proficiency arrival period could be shortened by 1.79 months when they are assigned in the suggested way.

비살상 무기체계 개발 및 운영분석 연구 (A Study on the Development and Use of Non-Lethal Weapons)

  • This paper analyzes the state of the art on the non-lethal disabling technologies(NDTs) and provides the direction for the development and use of non-lethal weapons. A dozen categories of NDTs are surveyed and explored for the prospective military operations in the future. These technologies may be mixed and matched for a specific purpose that would be potent yet safer than conventional lethal weapons. Many commonly available technologies that are either directly applicable as NDTs or with some engineering adaptation should be first considered to develope. These are NDTs for anti-mobility as follows: anti-traction technology, polymer agents and combustion alternation technology. Non-lethal weapons especially useful in our situation include destroying weapon-guidance systems, disabling engines of aircrafts and ground vehicles and C4I systems.

간호학과 남학생의 학과 적응에 관한 질적 메타합성 연구 (Adaptation Experiences of Male Students in Nursing Education Programs: A Meta-synthesis Study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to integrate and synthesize findings from qualitative studies exploring male students' experiences of adapting to nursing education programs so as to obtain further understanding of the phenomenon. Methods: The meta-synthesis process was primarily guided by Noblit and Hare's approach, which consists of four stages including searching, appraisal of an individual study's quality, data extraction for analysis, and meta-synthesizing the results. Results: Findings from the literature reviewed were synthesized into six themes: 1) extraordinary choice based on job stability and gender scarcity; 2) unexpected feeling of marginalization as minority far apart from the mainstream; 3) assimilation and negotiation for relational adaptation through perspective shift; 4) fortifying the vision and identity as nursing students by meaning making for adapting to the nursing major; 5) mutual support among colleague male students; and 6) serving in the military as way of hiding out and achieving maturation. Conclusion: The findings illustrate that nursing education programs need practical changes promoting male students' adaptation to the program itself as well as preparation to be a professional nurse in the future.

남자 간호대학생의 자기효능감, 사회적지지, 대학생활적응에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Self-efficacy, Social Support, and College Life Adaptation of Male Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 남자 간호대학생의 자기효능감, 사회적지지가 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 간호대학에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생 200명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 연구결과 자기효능감과 사회적지지, 자기효능감과 대학생활적응, 사회적지지와 대학생활적응간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 자기효능감은 전공선택 주체, 전공만족도에서 사회적지지는 병역, 전공선택 주체, 전공만족도가 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 대학생활적응은 전공 선택 주체, 전공선택 동기, 전공만족도에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 남자 간호대학생의 효율적인 대학생활적응을 위해서는 이들의 특성을 반영한 사회적지지 및 자기효능감 증진 프로그램의 적용이 필요하며 다양한 변수로 계속적인 연구가 필요하다.

혼합정수계획법과 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 군 공급사슬망 설계 (Design of military supply chain network using MIP & Simulation model)

  • 효율적인 공급사슬 망 설계는 공급사슬망 전체의 최적화를 추구하고 이를 통해 장기적이고 전략적인 의사결정을 뒷받침한다. 공급사슬망 설계 문제는 고려 대상이 광범위하고 시스템 조건과 상황에 따라 많은 확률적 요소들을 포함하고 있기 때문에 이를 수리 모델로 표현하더라도 현실을 명확히 반영하기는 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 수리 모델 및 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 군 공급사슬망 설계 방법을 제시하였다. 혼합정수계획법이 적용된 수리 모델을 이용하여 총비용을 최소화하는 공급사슬망을 구성하고, 수리 모델의 결과를 시뮬레이션 모델에 반영하여 실험 파라미터의 반복적인 조정을 통해 차량할당 및 경로문제를 해결하였다. 본 연구의 두 모델은 각각 CPLEX와 AutoMod로 실행하였으며, 실제 군 공급사슬망에서 군지사의 임무 제한에 따라 공급사슬망을 재구성하는 실험을 실시하였다. 이 실험을 통하여, 본 연구에서 제시한 방법이 군 공급사슬망 설계 문제해결에 용이하게 적용될 수 있다는 것을 보였다.

CLSR: Cognitive Link State Routing for CR-based Tactical Ad Hoc Networks

  • The Cognitive Radio (CR) paradigm in tactical ad hoc networks is an important element of future military communications for network-centric warfare. This paper presents a novel Cognitive Link State Routing protocol for CR-based tactical ad hoc networks. The proposed scheme provides prompt and reliable routes for Primary User (PU) activity through procedures that incorporate two main functions: PU-aware power adaptation and channel switching. For the PU-aware power adaptation, closer multipoint relay nodes are selected to prevent network partition and ensure successful PU communication. The PU-aware channel switching is proactively conducted using control messages to switch to a new available channel based on a common channel list. Our simulation study based on the ns-3 simulator demonstrates that the proposed routing scheme delivers significantly improved performance in terms of average end-to-end delay, jitter, and packet delivery ratio.

  • In this paper, design and integration of a newly developed double-tracked mobile robot called ROBHAZ-DT are introduced. It is designed to carry out military and civil missions in various hazardous environments such as the areas of fire, war, disaster and mine field etc. ROBHAZ-DT is configured with three mechanical bodies, namely front, rear and main body. By using its rotational passive adaptation mechanism equipped between the front and rear bodies, ROBHAZ-DT shows a good mobile capability on uneven terrain including stairs. Tunnel Gateway Satisfying Mobility and Security Requirements of Mobile and IP-Based Networks

  • Full-mesh IPSec tunnels pass through a black ("unsecure") network (B-NET) to any red ("secure") networks (RNETs). These are needed in military environments, because they enable dynamically changing R-NETs to be reached from a BNET. A dynamically reconfiguring security policy database (SPD) is very difficult to manage, since the R-NETs are mobile. This paper proposes advertisement process technologies in association with the tunnel gateway's protocol that sends 'hello' and 'prefix advertisement (ADV)' packets periodically to a multicast IP address to solve mobility and security issues. We focus on the tunnel gateway's security policy (SP) adaptation protocol that enables R-NETs to adapt to mobile environments and allows them to renew services rapidly soon after their redeployment. The prefix ADV process enables tunnel gateways to gather information associated with the dynamic changes of prefixes and the tunnel gateway's status (that is, 'down'/restart). Finally, we observe two different types of performance results. First, we explore the effects of different levels of R-NET movements on SP adaptation latency. Next, we derive the other SP adaptation latency. This can suffer from dynamic deployments of tunnel gateways, during which the protocol data traffic associated with the prefix ADV protocol data unit is expected to be severe, especially when a certain tunnel gateway restarts.

1D CCM 탄도수정 성능예측 및 알고리즘 구현 연구 (A Study on Course Correction Performance Expectation & Algorithm Implementation of 1D CCM)

  • The trajectory of an current artillery munition is subject to a variety of different error sources resulting in more or less big deviation from the nominal predicted flight path. The 1D CCM(Course Correction Munition) has appeared to solve this problem and the mechanism of 1D CCM is a simple and low cost one using the influence of drag to range behavior of an artillery munition. In the paper 1D CCM concept has been simulated using wind tunnel experiment results of the specified Korean munition with CCF(Course Correction Fuze) and calculated the performance of its rang error reduction. From the simulated results it can be numerically explained that the possibility of adaptation of 1D CCM concept to Korean artillery munitions.

수중동물의 헤엄침 성능과 형태학적 적응 (Swimming Performance of Aquatic-animals and Their Morphological Adaptation)

  • The swimming abilities of aquatic-animals are of vital importance to their ecology. The relationship between outer shapes and the swimming ability has been focused just a few centuries ago by engineering community. Present paper surveys the recent studies of the aquatic-animals' swimming performance in the morphological point of view. Also an experimental study is performed in order to investigate the effect of the tail fin's shape on the propulsive performance. The result showed that the morphological study provided valuable data for exploring the secrets of the aquatic-animals' swimming performance.
