A Convergent Perspective on Preference Attributes by Purchase Channel Choosing Used Cars (중고 자동차 선택시 구매경로별 선호속성에 관한 융합적 시각)

  • The purpose of the present study is to identify the differences of customer preference in online and offline used car business. Conjoint analysis is used for examining the attributes of used car choices. As a result, the order of importance in real used car market is as follows: brand, design, price, model, mileage. Whereas the order of importance in online used car market is as follows: brand, trust, price, web design, accident. Accordingly, the author suggested that customer preferences depend on the path people are approaching and the attributes of preference vary in online and real stores. For example, trust and accident are important attributes in online market in comparison with real market. Used car market is increasing and becoming important. The authorities and practitioners need to understand used car market and establish the related policies.

Revenue Analysis of Taxi According to Moving Speed (택시의 최대 수익을 위한 최적의 운행 속도 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyze the optimum moving speed of taxi for maximum revenue. In the analysis, we assume that passengers are distributed exponentially along with the direction as taxi moves. When the taxi arrives at the location of a passenger within the predetermined time limit, the passenger gets in the taxi. Otherwise, we assume that the passenger leaves the location and the taxi does not meet the passenger. We vary taxi speed from 0km/h through 80km/h to see how revenue of a taxi varies, applying the average gas mileage of LPG taxis in Korea. From the results of the analysis, we see that the probability that a taxi meets passengers goes high as taxi speed gets fast, however the revenue starts to fall after the maximum point of revenue at the optimum speed, since fuel cost gets dominant.

  • A viral marketing has been an effective marketing tool in various fields. In this study, we applied a viral marketing strategy for managing the Internet community website of scientists and engineers, KOSEN(www.kosen21.org). We developed a function that enables members to send promotional e-mails to their acquaintances, and we also designed a reward system for the members who participated in KOSEN viral marketing. With these strategies, KOSEN members reacted positively on the rewards (i.e., mileage points, gift card) and also the loyalty members took part in the viral marketing program more actively than other members. Furthermore, an attractive event was very effective for the prompt reaction of the viral marketing. Managing loyalty members is necessary for the continuous effects. The viral marketing strategies and analysis results of this research could be used for the management of an Internet service.

  • In this paper, we examined the concept of three types of double loot box respectively and analyzed each characteristics of double loot box by game case study. Those types are divided into the following three cases; 1) Double-mileage gacha 2) Double-limited period gacha 3) Kompu gacha. As the result, Double loot boxs are characterized as below: 1) Double loot box has a tendency to combine various type of loot boxes. 2) Double loot box's reward is hard to gain in game, or not to sell in game store. With these features, double loot box could be a gambling sales strategy. To solve this problem, this study suggested that it is essential to revise game self-regulations, enhance the professionalism of monitoring groups, and propel the self-effort of game companies.

A Study on Determining the Optimal Replacement Interval of the Rolling Stock Signal System Component based on the Field Data (필드데이터에 의한 철도차량 신호장치 구성품의 최적 교체주기 결정에 관한 연구)

  • Rolling stock maintenance, which focuses on preventive maintenance, is typically implemented considering the potential harm that may be inflicted to passengers in the event of failure. The cost of preventive maintenance throughout the life cycle of a rolling stock is 60%-75% of the initial purchase cost. Therefore, ensuring stability and reducing maintenance costs are essential in terms of economy. In particular, private railroad operators must reduce government support budget by effectively utilizing railroad resources and reducing maintenance costs. Accordingly, this study analyzes the reliability characteristics of components using field data. Moreover, it resolves the problem of determining an economical replacement interval considering the timing of scrapping railroad vehicles. The procedure for determining the optimal replacement interval involves five steps. According to the decision model, the optimal replacement interval for the onboard signal device components of the "A" line train is calculated using field data, such as failure data, preventive maintenance cost, and failure maintenance cost. The field data analysis indicates that the mileage meter is 9 years, which is less than the designed durability of 15 years. Furthermore, a life cycle in which the phase signal has few failures is found to be the same as the actual durability of 15 years.

  • In the transportation sector, reducing total vehicle mileage and passenger vehicle traffic are proposed as strategies to achieve carbon neutrality. To achieve this, MaaS services must be actively promoted with the goal of revitalizing public transportation. In order to promote MaaS, individual movement data is required, such as the individual's means of movement, route, and conversion of the individual's means of use. However, in Korea, there are legal limitations in collecting and utilizing data on individual movements. As the right to request transmission of personal information was newly established in the revised Personal Information Protection Act in 2023, a law was established to collect and utilize data on individual movements. However, enforcement ordinance, detailed rules, instructions, guidelines must be prepared, and the standardization of data format and transmission system for collecting my data needs to take precedence.

Development of Low-Cost, Double-Speed, High-Precision Operation Control System for Range Extender Engine (레인지 익스텐더 전기자동차 엔진용 저가형 2단속도 고정밀 운전제어시스템 개발)

  • The range extender vehicle runs on a mechanism that allows the small power generation engine to start in the most efficient specific operating range to charge the battery and extend the mileage. In this study, we developed a step motor type intake air supply system that replaces existing throttle body system to develop a simple low cost control logic system. The system was applied to the existing base engine, and in order to improve the performance by increasing the amount of intake air, the effect of changing the length of the intake and exhaust manifold was experimentally examined. As a result, the Type B intake air control actuator operated by one step motor showed higher performance than the Type A in all the operation region, but the performance was lower than that of the base engine due to the increase of flow resistance. To improve this, it was confirmed that the engine performance was improved at both speeds of 2200rpm and 4300rpm when the 140mm adapter was installed in the intake manifold and when the newly designed 70mm exhaust manifold was applied. Through this process, high - precision operation control was realized by connecting the generator load to the optimized engine for the range extender electric vehicle. Experimental results showed that the speed change rate was within ${\pm}2.5%$ at 2200rpm in 1st stage and 4300rpm in 2nd stage and the speed follow-up result of 610 rpm/s was obtained when the speed was increased from 2200rpm to 4300rpm.

  • This study is focused on mediating effect of academic motivation between the educational environmental factors on Self-determination Theory and Reward and Punishment Mark System. For the purpose of this study, a questionnaire survey uses a scale being developed through the educational environmental factors on self-determination, academic motivation, and academic achievement. The survey was conducted among 202 students in middle and high school in Seoul. First, autonomy of variables of educational environment based on self-determination theory has influenced on internal and external academic motivation, confidence makes internal and reasonable motivation high, and relationship makes demotivation low. Second, Reward and Punishment Mark System which has recently been replaced traditional punishment doesn't have influenced on academic motivation of students. Third, internal motivation has positively influenced on willingness to take classes and academic achievement analyzing the effect of academic motivation sub-factors on academic achievement. Therefore, this study suggests that autonomy, confidence, and relationship in self-determination theory make academic motivation and willingness to take classes high.

Comparative Analysis on the Rail and Road Freight Transportation: Air contaminant and greenhouse gas emission (철도화물과 도로화물수송의 비교분석 연구: 대기오염물질 및 온실가스 배출)

  • With increasing global concerns for environmental impacts, efforts have been made to encourage a modal shift from road freight to an eco-friendly transport system such as rail freight. In Korea, the government has set master plans for a green transport system but has not taken any substantial action to promote rail freight transport. In developing policies and actions to promote rail freight, quantitative studies on environmental impacts among transportation means are essential. This study examined the air pollutant emissions and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit freight transported by road and rail, respectively. To improve the accuracy, we analyzed emission data and freight transport mileage of rail freight considering diesel locomotives and electric locomotives separately. The results show that unit air pollutant emissions (except SO2) from road freight are about 7~15 times more than those from rail freight. In addition, the GHG emission unit of road freight is about 4 times higher than that of rail freight.

  • In recent years, with the rapid development of large and medium-sized urban rail transit in China, the total operating mileage of high-speed railway and the total number of EMUs(Electric Multiple Units) are rising. The system complexity of high-speed EMU is constantly increasing, which puts forward higher requirements for the safety of equipment and the efficiency of maintenance.At present, the maintenance mode of high-speed EMU in China still adopts the post maintenance method based on planned maintenance and fault maintenance, which leads to insufficient or excessive maintenance, reduces the efficiency of equipment fault handling, and increases the maintenance cost. Based on the intelligent operation and maintenance technology of PHM(prognostics and health management). This thesis builds an integrated PHM platform of "vehicle system-communication system-ground system" by integrating multi-source heterogeneous data of different scenarios of high-speed EMU, and combines the equipment fault mechanism with artificial intelligence algorithms to build a fault prediction model for traction motors of high-speed EMU.Reliable fault prediction and accurate maintenance shall be carried out in advance to ensure safe and efficient operation of high-speed EMU.
