2011년 발표된 한국과 중국의 초등학교 수학과 교육과정 비교 분석 (A Comparative Study on 2011 Reformed Elementary School Mathematics Curriculum Between Korea and China)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라와 중국의 초등학교 수학과 교육과정 문서에 대한 비교 연구이다. 우리나라와 중국은 2011년 같은 해에 초등학교 수학과 개정 교육과정을 발표하였고, 최근 현장 적용에 들어갔다는 측면에서 매우 유사한 점이 많다. 게다가 중국은 우리나라와 비슷한 입시제도, 교육환경, 자녀교육에 대한 관심도를 가지고 있는 국가라는 측면에서 우리나라 교육에 시사하는 점이 적지 않다. 우리나라는 2015년 9월 공시 예정으로 새로운 초등학교 수학과 교육과정을 개발하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 새로운 교육과정 문서 체제 및 내용 구성에 유의미한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

Surgical Roles for Spinal Involvement of Hematological Malignancies

  • Objective : Patients with hematological malignancies frequently encounter spine-related symptoms, which are caused by disease itself or process of treatment. However, there is still lack of knowledge on their epidemiology and clinical courses. The purpose of this article is to review clinical presentations and surgical results for spinal involvement of hematologic malignancies. Methods : From January 2011 to September 2014, 195 patients (98 males and 97 females) suffering from hematological malignancies combined with spinal problems were retrospectively analyzed for clinical and radiological characteristics and their clinical results. Results : The most common diagnosis of hematological malignancy was multiple myeloma (96 patients, 49.7%), followed by chronic myeloid leukemia (30, 15.2%), acute myeloid leukemia (22, 11.2%), and lymphoma (15, 7.56%). The major presenting symptoms were mechanical axial pain (132, 67.7%) resulting from pathologic fractures, and followed by radiating pain (49, 25.1%). Progressive neurologic deficits were noted in 15 patients (7.7%), which revealed as cord compression by epidural mass or compressive myelopathy combined with pathologic fractures. Reconstructive surgery for neurologic compromise was done in 16 patients. Even though surgical intervention was useful for early paralysis (Frankel grade D or E), neurologic recovery was not satisfactory for the progressed paralysis (Frankel grade A or B). Conclusion : Hematological malignancies may cause various spinal problems related to disease progression or consequences of treatments. Conservative and palliative treatments are mainstay for these lesions. However, timely surgical interventions should be considered for the cases of pathologic fractures with progressive neurologic compromise.

의과대학생들의 진로선택과 진로지도 (Medical Student Career Choice and Career Planning)

  • Purpose: This study analysed the intention of medical students career choice, educational programmes, and mentoring and counseling system for career planning at Yonsei medical school in Korea. Methods: The data were collected based on four separate graduation questionnaires at Yonsei medical school in the years of 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. The number of the survey was 130 in 2005, 130 in 2006, 153 in 2007, and that of the latest was 120 in 2008. We analysed the career intention on medical specialties and activities, and perceptions of important factors in choosing medical specialty. Results : The results which can be drawn from this study are these: firstly. students had more intention for choosing clinical medicine as university faculty than any other activities. While male students preferred to major in surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, female students in internal medicine, neurology, anesthesiology and pain medicine, diagnostic radiology, laboratory medicine. Secondly, students perceived that the most important factor which can influence on choosing a medical specialty was individual factor such as one's interests and concerns, values, and aptitudes. In stead, they relatively less perceived mentor and role model's effects on choosing a medical specialty compared to those of the United States of America. Third, the career planning at Yonsei medical school was evaluated well, especially educational programmes for career planning such as self assessment programme, elective(specialized) courses, and conversation with a senior programme. Conclusions: Unexpectedly, there are high demands for career planning by medical students. Therefore, we will reorganize systematic devices for career planning such as mentoring and counseling system at medical school.

도메인 온톨로지를 이용한 검색 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Search System Using Domain Ontology)

  • 지금까지의 상품 검색 방법으로는 찾고자하는 정보를 검색할 때 주로 단어의 빈도수나 어휘 정보를 이용하는 키워드 기반의 검색이 주로 쓰이고 있었다. 키워드 기반의 검색에서는 사용자의 질의와 관련이 없는 문서들까지도 같은 결과로 나타내 주고 이로 인해 사용자는 제시된 결과를 한번 더 수동적으로 검색해야하는 부담을 않게 되었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 온톨로지가 대두되었다. 본 논문에서는 온톨로지를 이용한 상품 검색 시스템을 직접 구축하여 분류별 검색을 통해 얼마나 정확한 검색을 하는지 실험하였다. 실험을 위해 전국적으로 On/Off라인 할인점을 운영 중에 있는 A할인점의 상품 데이터 약 40,000여개를 데이터 베이스로 구축하였고 User Interface 개발환경은 JSP와 PowerBuilder9.0을 사용하여 검색 시스템을 개발하여 실험하였다. 그 결과 본 논문에서 제안하고 설계한 상품 도메인 온톨로지를 이용한 검색 방법이 기존의 기반의 검색 방법보다 우수한 결과를 나타내고 있음을 입증하였다.

Analyzing Learners Behavior and Resources Effectiveness in a Distance Learning Course: A Case Study of the Hellenic Open University

  • Learning analytics, or educational data mining, is an emerging field that applies data mining methods and tools for the exploitation of data coming from educational environments. Learning management systems, like Moodle, offer large amounts of data concerning students' activity, performance, behavior, and interaction with their peers and their tutors. The analysis of these data can be elaborated to make decisions that will assist stakeholders (students, faculty, and administration) to elevate the learning process in higher education. In this work, the power of Excel is exploited to analyze data in Moodle, utilizing an e-learning course developed for enhancing the information computer technology skills of school teachers in primary and secondary education in Greece. Moodle log files are appropriately manipulated in order to trace daily and weekly activity of the learners concerning distribution of access to resources, forum participation, and quizzes and assignments submission. Learners' activity was visualized for every hour of the day and for every day of the week. The visualization of access to every activity or resource during the course is also obtained. In this fashion teachers can schedule online synchronous lectures or discussions more effectively in order to maximize the learners' participation. Results depict the interest of learners for each structural component, their dedication to the course, their participation in the fora, and how it affects the submission of quizzes and assignments. Instructional designers may take advice and redesign the course according to the popularity of the educational material and learners' dedication. Moreover, the final grade of the learners is predicted according to their previous grades using multiple linear regression and sensitivity analysis. These outcomes can be suitably exploited in order for instructors to improve the design of their courses, faculty to alter their educational methodology, and administration to make decisions that will improve the educational services provided.

한국들잔디 배아세포의 부유배양과 식물체 재생 (Embryogenic cell suspension culture and plant regeneration in zoysiagrass (Zoysia japonica Steud))

  • 한국들잔디는 운동경기장이나 골프 코스 등에 폭넓게 쓰이는 난지형 잔디이다. 많은 품종은 영양체로 번식한다. 이 연구는 배아세포 유도와 식물체 재생을 위한 적정 배양액 개발과 배양조건을 연구하여, 한국잔디의 육종과 번식을 위한 세포배양 체계 확보를 목적으로 하였다. 그 결과 $Cu^{++}\;2.5mgL^{-1}$를 유도 배양액에 첨가하는 것이 캘러스 유도를 위한 최적 농도 조건 이였음을 보여주었다. Sub-culture의 횟수의 증가는 캘러스의 질을 향상시켰다. 세포 부유배양을 위한 최적 용량은 2.5에서 10mL 사이였으며 본 연구에서 58%의 식물체 재생산비율을 보였다.

미국의 기록관리학 지식 범주에 관한 연구 (A study of archival body of knowledge in the United States)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기록관리학 교육 프로그램의 기초 자료로서 미국의 기록관리학 프로그램과 교육지침서에 관해 조사하여 다양한 요소를 바탕으로 분석해 봄으로써 기록관리학 지식의 범주를 설정하고 한국의 기록관리학 교육에 필요한 사항을 제안하였다. 기록관리학 지식 범주는 크게 5개로 기본 지식, 핵심 지식, 보충 지식, 실무 지식, 연구 지식으로 구분하였다. 기본 지식은 기록물과 관련된 전반적인 상황을 이해하는 것, 핵심 지식은 기록전문가로서 기본적으로 반드시 갖추어야하는 역할 능력을 제공하는 것, 보충 지식은 기록관리학과 밀접한 연관을 갖고 있는 다른 학문적 배경과 다양한 연구방법에 관한 것, 실무 지식은 현장실습에서 얻게 되는 지식이며 연구 지식은 일정기간 세부 주제에 관해 깊이 있게 연구함으로써 학문적으로 공헌할 수 있는 것으로 보았다. 앞으로 교과과정 개발과 관련하여 보존, 전자기록물 관리, 컴퓨터 기술의 적용, 기록물 서비스와 홍보 관련 교과목의 설정, 학제적 교과목의 개발, 인턴쉽 프로그램 개발, 협동 연구의 추진, 충분한 교원의 확보를 주요 사안으로 제시하였으며 끝으로 한국 기록관리학 교육지침서의 개발을 촉구하였다.

Zolpidem 중독의 임상적 특징에 대한 연구 (Clinical Characteristics of Acute Zolpidem Intoxication)

  • Purpose: The hypnotic effect of zolpidem is comparable to benzodiazepines, but has less abuse and addiction potential than benzodiazepines, so is one of the most commonly prescribed hypnotics. The frequency of acute zolpidem overdose has increased, but clinical analysis and severity predictors are not known in Korea. Methods: A retrospective evaluation of histories, clinical courses, and laboratory findings of each patient treated from June, 2000, to May, 2006, in a university hospital for acute zolpidem intoxication. Results: We evaluated 30 patients, including 16 co-intoxication cases. Twenty-five patients presented mental alterations but became alert within 2 days. All patients recovered completely. The median zolpidem concentration was 0.9 mg/L (range: $0.2{\sim}7.4\;mg/L$). There was a weak correlation between the amount ingested and zolpidem concentration (r=0.25). None of them presented severe laboratory abnormalities, and these abnormalities did not relate to zolpidem concentration. Conclusion: The clinical progress of acute zolpidem intoxication is mild. We could not predict zolpidem concentration or clinical severity from the amount ingested and could not predict the clinical course from laboratory findings in the emergency department.

진정수면제 중독 환자의 처방과에 따른 처방 및 임상양상 비교 (Comparison of Prescription Patterns and Clinical Features according to Clinical Departments in Sedative-hypnotic Intoxication)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare prescription patterns and clinical features according to clinical departments in sedative-hypnotic intoxication. Methods: This was a retrospective study of histories, substances of poisoning, acquisition routes, clinical courses, and outcomes of patients treated for acute intoxication in a single emergency medical center from January, 2011 to December, 2013. Results: A total of 769 patients were treated for acute intoxication, 281 patients ingested sedative hypnotics during the study period. Among 281 patients, 155 patients were prescribed by psychiatric department and 80 patients were prescribed by non-psychiatric department. Benzodiazepines were more likely to be prescribed by psychiatrists, and zolpidem was preferred by non-psychiatrists (p<0.001). Non-psychiatrists were more likely to prescribe short acting benzodiazepines than psychiatrists (p<0.001). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the clinical outcomes, including prevalence of admission to ICU, ventilator care, and length of stay in ICU. In patients prescribed by non-psychiatrists, there were more patients prescribed without psychiatric diagnosis and diagnosed as major depression disorder after hospitalization. Conclusion: To promote rational prescribing of sedative hypnotics, proper psychiatric evaluation should be performed before prescribing, and educational programs including the contents of interactions and side effects of sedative hypnotics are needed.

중.고등학교 학생을 대상으로 시행한 기본인명구조술(BLS) 이론과 술기 교육에 대한 연구 (The Study on Education and Skill of Basic Life Support Training in Meddle and High School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study on education and skill of Basic life Support Training in Middle and High School Students. Methods: The Basic life support training courses are taught mostly by Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic. Sixty five middle school students, Seventy eight High school students and forty six adult received tuition in Basic life support training and subsequently completed questionnaires, test and interviews to assess their theoretical knowledge regarding their likelihood of performing Basic life support training. Under the supervisor, The subjects were evaluated by comparing basic life support education and skill data collected and the education sessions consisted of a 30min video tape. The Basic life support skill sessions used Laerdal manikin, and the data stored from the HeartSim were collected for further analysis. The students were asked to practice what they had been. A statistical analysis was done using the SPSS version 13. Results: Their average age of middle school students were 15.3±1.2 years, high school students (17.3±1.8), and adults(38.3±2.3). The total of 189 subjects were evaluated. The criteria used in the study had the following results First, We found that middle and high school students scored higher than adult. The scores were statistically significant to teach and evaluate the education evaluation showed that the adults scored lower than the middle and high school students. Second, We found that high school students and adult scored higher than middle school students. The scores were statistically significant to teach and evaluate the skills evaluation showed that the middle school students scored lower than the high school students and adult. Conclusion: We found that middle and high school students were superior to adult counterparts in understanding the basic life support education. We found that high school students and adult scored higher than middle school students in the BLS skill training. An expansion of basic life support training to middle and high school students is demanded. The Basic life support skills training seems to be retained between 6 and 12 months. The basic life support training should included in the school education curriculum in school.
