This paper deals a watt-hour meter monitor system with applying a Power Line Communication (PLC) modem and a Data Concentrator Unit (DCU). PLC modem uses the power line, so there is no need to install dedicated wiring. This system makes it possible to monitor the amount of electricity of previous current month metering data, so it can easily apply a PC-management for the electric charges and maintenance with gathering the metering data.
For integrated water management, it is essential to secure basic data such as the amount of agricultural water intake. The river water intake through the intake weir is carried out through the agricultural irrigation canal, and a method for measuring the quantity of water intake is required to suit the characteristics of the measuring points. In this study, the accuracy of the calculated flow data was determined by applying a microwave water surface current meter. The microwave water surface current meter is a method of calculating surface velocity using doppler effect, which is mainly used in high-velocities situations such as flood. Surface velocity is difficult to represent the average velocity of the entire section at low dicharges or high wind speeds, it is considered to be low in continuous utilization throughout the year, and it is necessary to verify whether the measurement using an microwave water surface curren meter is appropriate in agricultural irrigation canal. The data measured with an microwave water surface curren meter were compared with the actual flow data to calculate the intake data in agricultural irrigation canal. In agricultural irrigation canal, the low-level discharge calculated using an microwave water surface current meter at a minimum velocity of about 0.3 m/s and a minimum discharge of about 1.0 m3/s or higher was found to have a high tendency and accuracy compared to the standard discharge, especially when the high discharge was high. Although effective results can be obtained in terms of quantity at low discharge, it is deemed that subsequent studies are needed to calculate the average discharge of the cross section at low discharge, given that the trend of data is unstable. Through this study, it is suggested that it is appropriate to calculate the amount of water intake through the microwave water surface current meter in artificial waterways with a certain discharge or higher, so it is expected to be widely distributed as a method for measuring river water intake.

Smart grid system has been deployed fast despite of legal, business and technology problems in many countries. One important problem in deploying the smart grid system is to protect private smart meter readings from the unbelievable parties while the major smart meter functions are untouched. Privacy-preserving involves some challenges such as hardware limitations, secure cryptographic schemes and secure signal processing. In this paper, we focused particularly on the smart meter reading aggregation, which is the major research field in the smart meter privacy-preserving. We suggest a noisy weighted aggregation scheme to guarantee differential privacy. The noisy weighted values are generated in such a way that their product is one and are used for making the veiled measurements. In case that a Diffie-Hellman generator is applied to obtain the noisy weighted values, the noisy values are transformed in such a way that their sum is zero. The advantage of Diffie and Hellman group is usually to use 512 bits. Thus, compared to Paillier cryptosystem series which relies on very large key sizes, a significant performance can be obtained.

This paper introduces a boron meter with improved accuracy compared with other commercially available boron meters. Its design includes a new fitting function and a multi-detector. In pressurized water reactors (PWRs) in Korea, many boron meters have been used to continuously monitor boron concentration in reactor coolant. However, it is difficult to use the boron meters in practice because the measurement uncertainty is high. For this reason, there has been a strong demand for improvement in their accuracy. In this work, a boron meter evaluation model was developed, and two approaches were considered to improve the boron meter accuracy: the first approach uses a new fitting function and the second approach uses a multi-detector. With the new fitting function, the boron concentration error was decreased from 3.30 ppm to 0.73 ppm. With the multi-detector, the count signals were contaminated with noise such as field measurement data, and analyses were repeated 1,000 times to obtain average and standard deviations of the boron concentration errors. Finally, using the new fitting formulation and multi-detector together, the average error was decreased from 5.95 ppm to 1.83 ppm and its standard deviation was decreased from 0.64 ppm to 0.26 ppm. This result represents a great improvement of the boron meter accuracy.

In this paper, we propose a smart meter that uses GRU model, which is one of artificial neural networks, for the efficient energy management. We collected power consumption data that train GRU model through the proposed smart meter. The implemented smart meter has automatic power measurement and real-time observation function and load control function through power consumption prediction. We determined a reference value to control the load by using Root Mean Squared Error (RMS), which is one of performance evaluation indexes, with 20% margin. We confirmed that the smart meter with automatic load control increases the efficiency of energy management.
To improve flow in-cylinder flow in a 2-valve gasoline engine, various geometries of combustion chambers are modified. Air flow rate, swirl and tumble flow are measured and analyzed by swirl impulse meter and LDV in a steady state flow measuring rig. The results of LDV experiment are compared with the data of swirl impulse meter.

With precise sensor position, attitude element, and imaging resolution, a simulated geospatial image can be generated. In this study, a satellite image is simulated using SPOT ortho-image and global elevation data, and the geometric similarity between original and simulated images is analyzed. Using a SPOT panchromatic image and high-density elevation data from a 1/5K digital topographic map data an ortho-image with 10-meter resolution was produced. The simulated image was then generated by exterior orientation parameters and global elevation data (SRTM1, GDEM2). Experimental results showed that (1) the agreement of the image simulation between pixel location from the SRTM1/GDEM2 and high-resolution elevation data is above 99% within one pixel; (2) SRTM1 is closer than GDEM2 to high-resolution elevation data; (3) the location of error occurrence is caused by the elevation difference of topographical objects between high-density elevation data generated from the Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Digital Surface Model (DSM)-based global elevation data. Error occurrences were typically found at river boundaries, in urban areas, and in forests. In conclusion, this study showed that global elevation data are of practical use in generating simulated images with 10-meter resolution.
Deformation of Lead plate blast pressure meter were measured after they were exposed to surface blasting. Blasting pressure was determined by comparing the data with calibration graph which was drawn from the laboratory experiments with gas gun of Hopkinson bar tester. The results were compared with calculated values from the equations of CONWEP (Conventional Weapons Effects Program) and DDESB (Department of Defence Explosives Safety Board). Measured values were lower than calculated values in near field. Gradual decaying tendency of the pressure was observed. It means that estimated blasting pressure of very near field with theoretical equations can be uncertain.

In this paper, we describe a flow meter system for pulverized coal developed for the pulverizer-burner system of a boiler or blast furnace, which uses the density and the velocity of the granule flow. The granule flow density is measured by a sensor that detects the capacitance from the electrode on the surface of the piping system. The velocity of granule flow can be calculated using the distance between two pairs of built-in sensors in the flow direction, the time obtained from the sampling cycle using the correlation method between two waveforms of the sensors. The flow rate is calculated from the density and velocity of the granule flow. The reliability and accuracy of the flow meter system has been verified by comparing the data with the weight measured from a load-cell.

Development of autonomous vehicle system that use magnetic position meter research of intelligence transportation system is progressed worldwide active by fast increase of vehicles. Among them, research about autonomous of vehicles occupies field. And autonomous of vehicles is element that path recognition is basic. Existent magnetic base autonomous system analyzes three-dimensional data of magnet marker to 3 axises magnetic sensor and recognized route. But because using Magnetic Wire and Magnetic Position Meter in treatise that see, measure side lateral error and propose system that driving. And system that compare with system of autonomous vehicles and propose wishes to verify by hardware of that specification and simple algorithm through an experiment that autonomous is available.
