한국 및 중국 조선족 청소년의 글에 나타난 언어학적, 심리학적 특성 비교 (The Comparison of Linguistic and Psychological Characteristics in the Writing of Korean and Korean-Chinese Adolescents)

  • This study compared the writing of Korean and Korean-Chinese adolescents using K-LIWC (Korean-Linguistic Inquiry Word Count Lee & Yoon, 2005). Three hundred ten (70 : Ulsan, Korea 90 : Yanji, and 150 : Shenyang, China) middle school students wrote a self introductory essay for unknown friends. K-LIWC yielded counts and percentages of word categories using the parts of speech of the Korean language and psychological (emotional, cognitive, sensory/perceptual, social, physical/functional and metaphysical processes) criteria. Results showed that use of pre-noun and present tense correlated with negative mood of the subjects. The writings of Korean-Chinese in Shenyang showed the most negative emotions among the three groups. This was interpreted to be a reflection of better protective factors for Korean-Chinese adolescents in Yanji compared with Shenyang.

  • Light is the essential element for people to live and do creative activities in architecture. The meaning of light has been changed as time has changed, and today it has more sophisticated roles. The meaning of light was to create static ambience in the past but it can create dynamic ambience currently. The digital light can be a source which creates this dynamic effects such as a human behavior, thought and weather data, and also creates new realm of spatial experience such as the metaphysical. complex, and illusionary space. These characteristics can be revealed from Proun raum spatial characteristics. This study analyzes the characteristics of proun raum, and also compare such characteristics to the variable meanings of digital light.

동양의 시각에서 본 학습조직의 재해석 (Reinterpretation of the Learning Organization from the Oriental Perspectives)

  • With emphasis on the importance of systems thinking for the establishment of learning organization, Senge in his famous book "The Fifth Discipline", explains in depth four disciplines such as personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, which are all geared up to the implementation of learning organization. However, two critical pitfalls are found: First, a holistic picture is absent in his presentation of learning organization, which just seems like a puzzle with linking pieces missing between disciplines. Secondly, as is often the case too much details are discussed in expense of insights on each discipline. This paper thus attempts to draw core metaphysical insights underlying Senge's learning organization disciplines by reinterpreting them from oriental perspectives; and to identify mechanisms depicting how they are working together as a whole, which is enabled by exploiting causal loop diagrams as a tool of systems thinking. In addition some thoughts on the implications of systems thinking on each of the learning organization disciplines.

루이스 칸 건축에 있어서 유형학적 성격에 대하여 (On Typological Aspects in Architectural Thought and Practice of Louis Kahn)

  • Louis Kahn has overcome the limits of Functionalist Architecture and reconnect the classical tradition to Modern Architecture. With a point of view that his special approach to historical precidents enabled him to contribute broaden the hiorizon of Modern Architecture, this paper trys to investigate and analyse Kahn's typological thoughts and practice in Architecture. In many ways his a priory and metaphysical thoughts on Architecture proved to be very similar to typology of 18th Century Neo-Classicism. And the geometry of Kahn's Architecture play a important role with respects to his typology. As a form-generator and 'parti' his geometry and its composition play a intemediate role to connect Form and Design and to realize the concrete structure. Therefore, the concept of his Form could be called an archetype and geometry be a kind of type in his architecture

  • Dok-Rak-Dang and Hyang-Dan, upper class houses of Chosun Dynasty on the early and mid 16th century, are generally known as specific style houses among traditional residences in Korea. Architectural singularities of these two residences are summarized as double facades, uncertain circulation, self-secluding construction, dilemmatic structure, and rotative circulation that are far from architectonic principle of that time. Characters of Deconstructionist Art, deconstruction of binary oppositions, double session, displacement without reversal, and paradox, are very similar to those of two residences both as a material phenomenon and as a metaphysical idea. Thus, this paper attempt to analyze architectural singularities of Dok-Rak-Dang and Hyang-Dan with the perspective of Deconstructionist Art Theory.

  • 본 논문은 니체가 반자연주의적 철학들을 비판하면서, 어떻게 자연의 개념 및 인간의 본질에 관한 개념을 재구성하고, 이들을 자연주의적 윤리의 관점에서 재평가하고자 했는가를 고찰하고자 한다. 특히 자연주의적 윤리에 근거하여, 자연을 자연화하며. 인간을 자연으로 되돌려 놓고자 하는 그의 과제에 초점을 두고 있다. 본 논문은 또한 정의의 개념을 형이상학적 영역에서 자연주의적 영역으로 전환시키고자 했던 그의 시도를 재해석하면서. 환경정의 이론의 개발을 위한 주요한 통찰력을 얻고자 하는 한편, 그의 자연주의적 정의관에 내재된 한계들을 지적하고자 한다.

  • From 20th century, the perception of the problem on self-loss originated from philosophy and emerged in the pursuit of study on humans in real life, not from metaphysical questions. In particular, Phenomenon theory originating from Husserl has been unfolding around, above all, body concepts about human experiences. This is the part where Phenomenon theory finds its meaning as an analytical method of real space concepts. In addition, subjects' perception of situation is done through sense organs not only with sight but also with space-sensible aspects. And since these perceptions are done in consecutive and procedural times, they are done in the experience which shows transitional attributes. The experience elements of transitional senses in situation should be considered more about perception experience of human beings than other spaces, and classify into physical and program elements the introductory parts of eating and drinking spaces where the movements of active perceptionists and the flow of spaces can be felt. And this grants experimental, not usual, characteristics

Comparison of Two Conditional Connectives -(u)myen and -ta/la-myen in Korean

  • In this paper, I will look at two conditional connectives in Korean and point out differences between -(u)myen and -ta/la-myen in their distributions and semantics. One of the differences is that -ta/la-myen always allows epistemic interpretation, whereas -(u)myen allows epistemic interpretation only when the event time of the antecedent clause is in the past or present. A second difference is that only -(u)myen is used in purely temporal and habitual conditionals. A third difference is that the modality marker -keyss, which can have volitional or predictive interpretation with -(u)myen, cannot have predictive interpretation with -ta/la-myen. I propose that -ta/la-myen has the operator of settledness, which is defined with respect to the speech time, and explain the differences listed based on the semantics of settledness.

Vibration Tactile Foreign Language Learning: The Possibility of Embodied Instructional Media

  • On the basis of two premises and embodied cognition theory, the vibration tactile learning is proposed as an effective method for foreign language learning. The premises are: the real nature of language is sound and the source of sound is vibration. According to embodied cognition theory, cognition is inherently connected to bodily sensation rather than metaphysical and independent. As a result, the vibration tactile learning is: people are able to learn foreign language better by listening to sound and experiencing its vibration through touch rather than solely listening to sound. The effectiveness of vibration tactile learning is tested with two instructional media theories: media comparison and media attribute. For the comparison, an experiment is conducted with control and experimental groups. The attributes of vibration tactile media are investigated in points of relationships with the learning process. The experiment results indicate a small effect on the increased mean score. Three kinds of relationships are found between the media attribute and learning process: enforced stimulus, facilitated pronunciation, and assimilation of resonance to sound patterns through touch. Finally, this paper proposes a new theoretical development for instructional media research: an embodied cognition based media research and development.

불자(佛子)들과 교사 및 학생들의 생명 및 생물 분류 개념 비교 (A Study of Conception about Life and Biological Classification of Buddhists, Teachers and High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 종교를 개념 생태(conceptual ecology)의 한 요소인 형이상학적 신념으로 보고 우리나라에 전파된 지 가장 오래된 종교인 불교에서 통용되는 생명의 정의, 생명의 범주 및 분류 체계를 불경 및 불자들을 통해 알아보고, 불교를 종교로 가지고 있지 않는 생물 교사, 기타 과목 교사, 고등학생들과 어떤 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 불교에서는 생물을 지칭하는 용어로 중생(衆生), 유정(有情)을 사용하며, 생물학적 입장과는 달리 개체적인 생명 개념이 아닌 모두가 하나의 공동 운명체로 연결된 연기(緣起)라는 개념을 갖고 있었다. 또한 불교에서는 식물을 생명체로 즉, 중생(衆生)으로 생각하지 않았다. 불교에서 생명을 가진 것들 즉, 중생(衆生)을 분류하는 방법은 탄생 방식, 형태의 유무, 지각의 유무로 구분하고 있었는데, 불교의 생명 개념을 잘 반영하고 있는 방법은 지각의 유무였다. 생명과 생물 분류 개념은 생물 개념학습의 근간이 되는 개념으로 개념 생태적으로 사회문화적인 영향으로 형성되는 생물개념들은 생물학습에 크고 작은 영향을 미친다. 생물교사들은 이 연구결과에서 나타난 불자들이 가지고 있는 생명 및 생물분류개념에 대한 선개념을 파악함으로써 구성주의 교수학습 준비에 도움을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
