기존선의 고속전철 연계운용으로 고속화 방안 (The Study for Speed-up of Main Line by High Speed Train)

  • This report was studied about speed-up for main line of KNR(Korea National Railroad) by High Speed Train. The maximum speed of Kyun-Pu line was recorded a 140km/h by Saemaul train in 1985 and the average speed its is a 107km/h now. For operation KTX Kyun-Pu High Speed Train and G7 Korea High Speed Train in KNR line, this report was studied about operation status of High Speed Train in advanced countries, operation situation of train in KNR line and plan of speed-up for main line.

기존선의 선형조건을 고려한 틸팅차량의 허용속도 평가 (Allowable Speed of Tilting Car in the Conventional Line)

  • A quantitative analysis on the amounts of cant and lateral displacement of gravitational center due to the introduction of high-speed tilting car was carried out, based on the current alignment of the conventional line. In addition, the maximum allowable speed in curve and the level of improvement in maximum speed of tilting car were evaluated through the comparison with the maximum speed of locomotive. It was found that the tilting car produces an equivalent amount of cant, which corresponds to 47.5 % of current actual cant. This effect could be explained by the fact that 1.34 m, which is the height of gravitational center of tilting car from the rail level, is much lower than that of locomotive and thus guarantees much higher level of safety in curve. The equivalent amount of cant due to the lateral displacement of gravitational center followed by tilting in curve was 2.4 mm. It was small but not enough to be neglected and must be included in calculating the maximum speed in curve. It could be concluded that the 15 % speed-up of the conventional line is reasonable under the current condition of alignment.

  • When a railway vehicle passes through curves & transitions, the running speed must be improved by proposing the standards on the maximum running possibility speed of each section on conventional line (Dongdaegoo-Namsunghyun) considering derailment safety. In this paper, To improve the maximum running possibility speed of railway vehicle which passes through curves which have high risk of derailment, the track alignment conditions of conventional line (Dongdaegoo-Namsunghyun) that present transition curve length in current railway construction regulations are controlled. We presented elevation way about the section maximum running possibility speed in conventional line by analysis result.

  • By the result of efforts for the technology development of G7 trainset, the technology of domestic high-speed train KTX-II has lately been put to practical use while a forward countries of railway, which have their own developing ability of high-speed train, are competing against each other for the development of faster high-speed train system. Japan has been commissioning of FASTECH 360 which was developed in June 2005. Also France and Germany have been commissioning of next generation high-speed train such as AGV and ICE-3, developed basing on technology of their existing high-speed train system(TGV and ICE), its maximum commercial running speed is 360kph, and adopted multiple unit system. For the development of technology of domestic high-speed train and enhancement of national technology competitive power, HEMU (High-speed Electrical Multiple Unit) development project has been carried out as a national R&D project from last August. For the executing of HEMU's maximum speed test, we have investigated the high speed line characteristics (i.e. radius of curvature, gradient, cant etc.) of Seoul-Pusan line and Honam line which is under construction. We'd like to examine a study of condition for the best HEMU T&C line considering HEMU's characteristics (i.e. acceleration, deceleration etc.) and its interface with infrastructure in this paper.

  • Maximum speed of the train could not exceed over 160km/h with R-bar system in the underground type tunnel structure. By the research to overcome this speed limit, maximum speed has reached up to 200~250km/h recently by new R-bar system. It is under discussion to construct Metro Express Line between Gyonggido and Seoul which requires maximum speed 180km/h~230km/h. New R-bar is an optimal system to achieve the speed improvement in this line. This study shows application of the high speed R-bar system in the underground tunnel section.

  • At the coupling area linking high speed line and conventional line, according to distance between trains due to speed limit of conventional line, the power load of substation supplying to this conventional line increase. At the coupling area between Kimcheon SS and Kyoungsan SS, train operation have problems caused by instantaneous voltage drop. So, this paper propose evaluation method of maximum load capacity at current normal feeding condition.

  • The concept of dynamic tracking line is proposed as the feasible tracking region for a robot in a robot-conveyor system, which takes the conveyor speed into consideration. This paper presents an effective method to identify the dynamic tracking line in a robotic workcell. The maximum line speed of a robot is derived in an analytic form using the parameterized dynamics and kinematics of the manipulator, and some of its properties are established mathematically. The identification problem of the dynamic tracking line is then formulated as a root-solving problem for a single-variable equation, and solved by using a simple numerical technique. Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the methodology and its applications in workspace specification.

  • KTX has started commercial service from Seoul to Busan and Mokpo since April 1, 2004. The service line is composed of new-high speed line and conventional line. Before KTX is runs, the maximum operational speed on conventional line was 140km/h. In order to reduce the traveling time, operation speed of KTX must be increased on the conventional line. So, we performed test running with prototype HSR-350x and verification of safety was made in $10\%$ speed-up. Korean High Speed Train HSR-350x) was developed by G7 - R&D project. In this study, in safety aspect, several technical reviews are introduced and the possibility for reduction of traveling time is investigated on the conventional line by using HSR-350x.

  • With the opening of 1st phase and 2nd phase in Gyeongbu High Speed Line, KTX(The Korea Train Express) and Sancheon(2nd generation of High Speed Train) are operating commercially on entire line. Gyeongbu High Speed Line can be separated as several sections. In this entire line, a few types of train has operating by it's own pattern. However, commercial speed of the line compared with the maximum speed of Train is rather slow. Through this study, I found the reason of the slow speed on the Catenary system and suggested a solution.

  • In this paper, we introduce the on-line test plan of high speed rail development, which will be carried out at the test section of Seoul-Pusan high speed line from May to October, 2002. The test items are decided focused on the verification of the perofrmace and acquirement of the technical data of the high speed rail system development. The running time and distance of the train are calculated for several limited maximum speed cases. The detailed test scenario shall be developed according to the process of development and design of the system.
