실습을 통한 수축방법의 효과적인 이해 (Effective Teaching of Deflation using Computer Practice)

  • Both theory and experiment are very important parts in sciences. Especially in mathematics, theory seems to be very important, but experiment or practice doesn't. Numerical analysis of many parts in mathematics needs practice in computer. In this paper, I suggest that computer-practicing in teaching power method, inverse power method and deflation to calculate eigenvalues and eigenvectors is good in understanding the theory. It also makes students sure that mathematics is helpful.

  • Permutation and combination are the part of mathematics which can be introduced the pliability and diversity of thought. In prior studies of permutation and combination, there treated difficulties of learning, strategy of problem solving, and errors that students might come up with. This paper provides the method so that meaningful teaching and learning might occur through the systematic approach of permutation and combination. But there were little prior studies treated counting numbers that basic of mathematics' action. Therefore this paper tries to help the understanding of permutation and combination with the process of changing from informal knowledge to formal knowledge.

  • In this paper, we examine the relations of two closely related concepts, the digital Lusternik-Schnirelmann category and the digital higher topological complexity, with each other in digital images. For some certain digital images, we introduce κ-topological groups in the digital topological manner for having stronger ideas about the digital higher topological complexity. Our aim is to improve the understanding of the digital higher topological complexity. We present examples and counterexamples for κ-topological groups.

  • This paper examines regularity and normality in soft separation axioms for soft bitopological ordered spaces and their relationships with other properties. The findings expand our understanding of bitopological ordered spaces. Previous research, such as Al-Shami's work [3], has established distinctions between separation axioms in topological ordered spaces, which are more effective in describing these spaces' properties.

  • 본 연구는 AI를 수학 수업에 사용하려는 초등학교 교사의 의도에 미치는 요인들에 대해 살펴보고 수학 수업에서 AI가 효과적으로 사용되기 위해 선행되어야할 요인을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기술수용모델(Technology Acceptance Model)을 사용하여 초등학교 교사의 TPACK과 TAM 사이의 구조적 관계를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 초등학교 교사들의 TPACK은 인지된 사용 용이성과 유용성에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 인지된 사용 용이성과 인지된 유용성은 수학 수업에서 AI 활용에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 인지된 사용 용이성, 인지된 유용성, 태도는 수학 수업에서의 AI 사용 의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 초등학교 교사들이 수학 수업에서 AI에 대한 TPACK 역량이 높다고 인식할수록 수학 수업에서 AI를 사용하기가 더 쉽고 AI가 학생의 수학 학습 향상에 도움이 되는 유용한 도구로 인식할 수 있음을 의미한다. 또한 수학 수업에서 AI가 쉽게 사용할 수 있고 유용하다고 인식할수록 AI 사용 의도가 높아질 수 있다. 따라서 초등학교 교사들이 수학 수업에서 AI의 활용하려면 TPACK에 관한 지식 교육이 선행되어야하며, 수학 수업에서 AI 사용의 이점과 편리성에 대한 인식 개선이 함께 이루어져야 한다.

중등 수학교사의 수학내용 지식 (Mathematical Content Knowledge of Secondary Mathematics Teachers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중등 수학교사가 알아야 할 수학내용 지식에 관한 개념을 보다 명확히 하고, 이를 근거로 현직 수학교사의 수학내용 지식을 부분적으로 조사하는데 있다. 수학교사가 알아야 할 수학내용 지식을 학교수학의 내용지식과 과정지식, 학교수학과 연결된 학문적 수학으로 구분할 수 있다. 학교수학과 연결된 학문적 수학, 학교수학의 과정 지식 중 수학외적 문제해결, 추론과 증명 영역을 중심으로 현직 수학교사들의 수학내용 지식을 조사하였다. 조사 결과 수학외적 문제해결력, 추론과 정당화 관련 문제는 물론 학교수학과 학문적 수학 사이의 연결 관련 문제 모두 타당한 설명을 포함한 정답률에 문제가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

풍자 잡지 「펀치」를 통해 본 19세기 영국 사회의 수학에 대한 인식 변화 : 수학 시험의 확대와 수학 교육의 수요 변화를 중심으로 (Changes in England society's perception of mathematics in the 19th century through the satirical magazine Punch: Focusing on the expansion of mathematics tests and changes in demand for mathematics education)

  • This paper aims to examine how the public perception of mathematics changed in England in the 19th century. As rapid industrial and social developments took place in the 19th century, the educational environment underwent great changes, and the value and public perception of mathematics also changed. Mathematics took a new position in the terrain of educational reform in the late 19th century. In this study, I analyzed the actual condition of mathematics education in elementary and secondary schools, popular educational institutions, and universities in England in the first half, middle, and second half of the 19th century, and compared what values and usefulness of mathematics education were justified in each institution. I also examined how satirical magazine Punch satirized the public understanding or view on mathematics at each period. It is to be hoped that this study will have significant implications for raising the public's positive perception of mathematics in modern society.

초등수학영재의 분수 나눗셈의 이해에 관한 연구 (A Study on Understanding of Fraction Division of Elementary Mathematical Gifted Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the understanding of the meaning of fraction division and fraction division algorithm of elementary mathematical gifted students through the process of problem posing and solving activities. For this goal, students were asked to pose more than two real-world problems with respect to the fraction division of ${\frac{3}{4}}{\div}{\frac{2}{3}}$, and to explain the validity of the operation ${\frac{3}{4}}{\div}{\frac{2}{3}}={\frac{3}{4}}{\times}{\frac{3}{2}}$ in the process of solving the posed problems. As the results, although the gifted students posed more word problems in the 'inverse of multiplication' and 'inverse of a cartesian product' situations compared to the general students and pre-service elementary teachers in the previous researches, most of them also preferred to understanding the meaning of fractional division in the 'measurement division' situation. Handling the fractional division by converting it into the division of natural numbers through reduction to a common denominator in the 'measurement division', they showed the poor understanding of the meaning of multiplication by the reciprocal of divisor in the fraction division algorithm. So we suggest following: First, instruction on fraction division based on various problem situations is necessary. Second, eliciting fractional division algorithm in partitive division situation is strongly recommended for helping students understand the meaning of the reciprocal of divisor. Third, it is necessary to incorporate real-world problem posing tasks into elementary mathematics classroom for fostering mathematical creativity as well as problem solving ability.

진로탐색을 강화한 수학과 자유학기제 통계 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Implementation of the Program for the Free Learning Semester Focused on Career Exploration)

  • This study was to investigate the effect of the statistics education program for the test-free semester. Two tests of questionnaires were used after revising some items for the subjects and statistical contents covered according to the purpose of the study during the 2nd semester, 2016. one was for finding students' attitude toward statistics and the other for understanding my career exploration. The statistics education program was developed for 5 lesson units and was applied to two classes with 53 students of one middle school in Gyeonggi-province. The results showed that students' understanding on career exploration was improved especially, in self understanding, perceiving career world related to statistics, and economical & educational understanding in statistical career. Also, the three areas such as interest, value, and effort among five areas about students' statistical attitude which was measured by the attitude test revised from the previous study, were improved with statistical significance. Moreover, we analyzed the degree of students' satisfaction over the program. Most of students were satisfied with the program saying that "I could not believe it is over now. The time has gone so fast." or "My mentor(a pre-service teacher) helped me a lot." Therefore, the program for the test-free semester should include the contents for exploring future-career and relating to real life.

  • 본 연구에서는 이산확률분포 파악에 필요한 지식을 표본공간의 각 원소에 정의된 확률, 이산확률변수의 정의, 이산확률변수에 정의되는 확률, 그리고 이들 사이의 관계에 대한 지식으로 정의하고, 예비수학교사가 해당 지식을 어느 정도 이해하고 있는지에 대하여 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 검사 도구를 개발하고 사범대학생 47명을 대상으로 조사하였다.
