A threshold voltage extraction scheme which does not need matched replica of the MOSFET under test is proposed. In contrast to alternative methods, the accuracy of the proposed scheme does not depend on the matching of the test transistors. The proposed scheme has been implemented in a matching-free way using a switched-capacitor subtracting ampliier and a dynmic current mirror. Nonideal effects associated with these circuits, such as non-zero offset voltages and finite gains of op-amps, capcitor mismateches, and charge injection of MOS switches, are investigated and compensated. The circuit has been designed using ISRC 1.5.mu.m CMOS process parameters andfabricated at Inter-University semiconductor Research Center, and its performance has been evaluated.
This paper presents a real-time PCB (Printed Circuit Board) vision inspection system. This system can detect the OPEN and SHORT of the PCB which of the line width is 150$\mu\textrm{m}$. Our PCB inspection system is based on the referential method. Since the size of the captured PCB image is very large, the image is divided into 512${\times}$512 images to apply the accurate alignment efficiently. To correct the misalignment between the reference image and the inspection image, pattern matching is performed. In order to implement the proposed algorithm in real-time, we use the SIMD instruction and the double buffering structures. Our experiential results show the effectiveness of the developed inspection algorithm.

In this paper, a X band voltage controlled oscillator is proposed. The oscillator uses a transistor as an oscillating element and its oscillating frequencies are controlled by the tuning voltage of varactor diode. Using the circuit simulation tools, the matching circuits between the transistor and varactor diode, its input and output matching circuits, and a feedback circuits are designed. The measured results of the fabricated oscillator show that its oscillation frequencies are from 10.50GHz to 10.88GHz according to the turning voltages of 1V to 18V, its output power levels are about 4.3dBm, and its phase noise is around -43.5dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset frequency of 10.5GHz.
We have developed a new non-conventional electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometer, in which no resonant cavity was used. We previously demonstrated a wide frequency range operation of an EPR spectrometer using two loop antennas, one for a microwave transmission and the other for signal detection [1]. In contrast to Ref. [1], the utilization of a microstrip antenna as a transmitter enhanced a capability of wide-band operation. The replacement of conventional capacitors with varactor diodes makes resonance condition easily reproducible without any mechanical action during tuning and matching procedure since the capacitance of the diodes is controlled electronically. The operation of the new EPR spectrometer was tested by measuring a signal of 1,1-diphenil-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) sample in the frequency range of 0.8-2.5 GHz.

This paper suggests a class-F power amplifier with split open-end stubs to provide a broadband high-efficiency operation. These stubs are designed to have wide bandwidth by splitting wide open-end stubs into narrower stubs connected in shunt in an output matching network for class-F operation. In contrast to conventional wideband class-F designs, which theoretically need a large number of matching lines, this method requires fewer transmission lines, resulting in a compact circuit implementation. In addition, the open-end stubs are designed with slant ends to achieve additional wide bandwidth. To verify the suggested design, a 10-W class-F power amplifier operating at 1.7 GHz was implemented using a commercial GaN transistor. The measurement results showed a peak drain efficiency of 82.1% and 750 MHz of bandwidth for an efficiency higher than 63%. Additionally, the maximum output power was 14.45 W at 1.7 GHz.

The design process and construction method of a strip line is described for measuring radiated susceptibility of vehicular components having electrical cables more than 2 min length. he characteristic impedance of the trip line was determined 90$\Omega$ to obtain the field uniformity of $\leq$${\pm}$3 dB in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 500 MHz. Tapered coaxial lines were used instead of the traditional lumped circuit element for the impedence matching units, therefore, the strip line has high power capability. Using these techniques, the field uniformity and power capability of a strip line could be considerably improved.

In this paper, the distortion characteristics of an electrical pulse which has a rise/fall time due to the dispersion and the reflection, on nonuniform tapered microstrip lines has investigated in time domain. The transmission characteristics on uniform microstrip lines in time domain had represented already, but the results for the nonuniform tapered microstrip lines not represented yet. We investigated the transmission characteristics for pulse signal on the nonuniform tapered microstrip lines, and the result applied to design of wide band impedance matching circuit in design of MMIC. The voltage and current transfer functions are shown for the tapered line. The dispersion and distortion obtained by using these transfer functions are represented for the nonideal square pulse.

In this study, we investigated the characteristics of the input impedance and the gain of a ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ by the Method of Moments. The center frequency in this study is 200MHz, the radius of wire is 0.5nm, and the distance between two linear dipoles is 2cm. The inside variation of stub length within 18cm and the outside variation of stub length 4.5cm ive the value of SWR(Standing Wave Ratio) within 3. This means that the impedance matching between the ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ and receiver can easily be performed without a supplementary matching circuit.
In this paper, we deal with a hybrid dual band low noise amplifier with tunable matching circuits for a Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) reader operating at 433MHz and 912MHz. The tunable matching circuit consists of the microstrip line, SMD component and varactor. Simulation results show that the S21 parameter is 17dB and 7.91dB at 433MHz and 912MHz, respectively. The noise figure is also determined to 3.56dB and 5.58dB at the same frequencies with a power consumption of 19.36mW.
In this paper, a fast and easy impedance matching method, which could give the impedance matching component for the general 1 or 2-port network was introduced. First, the entire network structure was defined which consists of the network part to be matched and the impedance matching part composed of inductors and capacitors. Next, the transmission matrix and input and output impedances of the entire network from the terminal impedance conditions were calculated, then the exact solutions for the matching components were obtained. To verify the efficiency of this method, this method was applied to the CDMA If band withdrawal weighted SAW transversal filter, and investigated the effects of the impedance matching before and after, through the simulation and experiment. As the result, the performance of a fractional bandwidth of 1.2%, insertion loss of 29 dB, and VSWR of 80 have improved to a factional bandwidth of 1.8%, insertion loss of 9 dB, VSWR of 3 at 85.38 MHz center frequency. The result shows that this impedance matching method could be used in the SAW devices and other types of 1 or 2-port network.
