  • In case of sense case manufactured by method of outage capacity, sensitivity is declined by outside effect and method of the photo electricity has a problem in transmission. therefore, packing case of composite sense should be developed to improve such a problem about influence of outside environment and its property evaluation has been performed. Mechanical property and result of analysis & test evaluation of Mat'l on aluminum die-casting(ADC 12type) Mat'l developed are as following. Tensile test piece, No. 4 of KS B 0801, has been applied to mechanical property test of Mat'l and It has been tested by method of metal mat'l tensile test(KS B 0802 : 2003). It can be found that physical property to KS(Korea Standard) is excellent. and homogeneous mechanical property appears. Test of Mat'l analysis has been performed by using OE Spectrometer, according to ASTM E 1251 : 1994 regulation. Consequently, good and homogeneous component contents classified by element to standard, except for Fe, have been obtained with coordination of Fe content as below 1.3% from composition standard of Aluminum Die-casting.

  • Silver nanoparticles were formed on silica substrates through thin film dewetting at high temperature. The microstructural and morphological evolution of the particles were characterized as a function of processing variables such as initial film thickness, annealing time, and temperature. Silver thin films were deposited onto the silica using a pulsed laser deposition system and annealed in reducing atmosphere to induce agglomeration of the films. The film thicknesses before dewetting were in the range of 5 to 25 nm. A noticeable agglomeration occurs with annealing at temperatures higher than $300^{\circ}C$, and higher annealing temperature increases particle size uniformity for the same film thickness sample. Average particle size linearly correlates to the film thickness, but it does not strongly depend on annealing temperature and time, although threshold temperature for complete dewetting increases with an increase of film thickness. Lower annealing temperature develops faceted surface morphology of the silver particles by enhancing the growth of the low index crystal plane of the particles.

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the changes in gene expression after incubation of cells with soluble fraction from different silk mat layers. A silk cocoon from Bombyx mori was separated into 4 layers of equal thickness. The layers were numbered from 1 to 4 (from the inner to outer layer). Each silk mat was placed into normal saline and collected soluble fraction. They were administered to RAW264.7 cells, and changes in the expression of genes were evaluated by cDNA microarray analysis. Layer 1 and 4 groups showed significantly higher expression of BMP-2 at 8 h after administration of soluble fraction (P < 0.05). Runx2 expression was significantly higher in Layer 4 group at 8h (P < 0.05). The silk mat from the innermost and outermost portion of the silkworm cocoon showed a significant change in the expression of genes that are associated with osteoinduction such as BMP-2 and runx2.

  • PURPOSE: A Mat Pilates exercise program and a stretching program were conducted for elderly women to determine how the two interventions affect their autonomic nervous system. METHODS: The subjects of this study were 20 elderly women over 65 who regularly used a welfare center located in C city of Chungnam. The subjects were assigned randomly to the following two groups: 10 people in the breathing and mat Pilates exercise program group (PG) and 10 people in the breathing and stretching program group (SG). RESULTS: The present study design is randomized controlled trial. Vascular age was decreased significantly in the PG (p < .05). The mean stress index was reduced significantly in the PG (p < .05), and the amount of change was significantly larger in the PG than in the SG (p < .05). The health index was significantly lower in the PG than the SG (p < .05), and the amount of change in the PG was significantly more prominent than in the SG (p < .05). CONCLUSION: The Mat Pilates program was effective in improving the vascular age, average stress index, and health index of elderly women. In particular, it was significantly more effective than the stretching exercise program in improving the average stress and health indices.

  • In order to measure the shape deformation of seat surfaces, an indentation measurement mat was devised. The 50cm * 50 cm mat containing small polyethylene beads were made using two sheets of polyurethane film. The indentation measurement mat was shaped by vacuuming between the subject and the testing seat. This method showed less than 5mm of deformation measurement error. Deformation of CADILLAC and MAXIMA seats were compared to demonstrate usefulness of the new method.

  • Twenty six isolates of Magnaporthe grisea originated from rice and other gramineous hosts Korea were tested for mating type with MAT1-1 and MAT1-2 standard isolates. Ninety three and 64% of rice and grass isolated mated and produced perithecia with standard isolates, respectively. Both mating types were found from rice and non-rice isolates, but MAT1-1 allele of M. grisea was predominant in Korea.
