  • For each country, the growth of the country is significantly associated with the growth of the manufacturing industry. Especially in the early stages of development, the manufacturing industry has greatly played a great role in creating great added value for society and economic development in that country. Starting from a country with a weak manufacturing background, Vietnam is gradually opening up and integrating into the global economy, which has brought many opportunities for manufacturing enterprises in particular and the enterprise community in general, making Vietnam one of the countries with large production activities in Southeast Asia and Asia. The study evaluates the factors affecting the financial performance of manufacturing enterprises through a case study in Hanoi, Vietnam. Using a survey sample of 235 enterprises operating in production and using quantitative analysis methods, the research results show that: Enterprises with high governance quality are enterprises with high economic efficiency or enterprises with low management capacity have low business efficiency. Moreover, large-scale enterprises often have many advantages in seeking profits and improving business efficiency. Finally, the study has some recommendations to improve corporate governance and growth, create a stronger business community and contribute more to Vietnam's economic development.

  • Holography is generally known as a technology that records and reconstructs 3D images by simultaneously capturing the intensity and phase information of light. Two or more interfering beams and illumination of this interference pattern onto a photosensitive recording medium allow us to control both the intensity and phase of light. Holography has found widespread applications not only in 3D imaging but also in manufacturing. In fact, it has been commonly used in semiconductor manufacturing, where interference light patterns are applied to photolithography, effectively reducing the half-pitch and period of line patterns, and enhancing the resolution of lithography. Moreover, holography can be used for the manufacturing of 3D regular structures (3D photonic crystals), not just surface patterns such as 1D or 2D gratings, and this can be broadly divided into (i) holographic recording and (ii) holographic lithography. In this review, we conceptually contrast two seemingly similar but fundamentally different manufacturing methods: holographic recording and holographic lithography. We comprehensively describe the differences in the manufacturing processes and the resulting structural features, as well as elucidate the distinctions in the diffractive optical properties that can be derived from them. Lastly, we aim to summarize the unique perspectives through which each method can appear distinct, with the intention of sharing information about this field with both experts and non-experts alike.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze safety and health managers' perceptual maps on the effective educational contents and its methods of workplace safety and health education. Self-administered survey was successfully conducted to 582 workers who were 339 in manufacturing, 68 in construction, and 175 in service & others by industry classification. Survey sites were recruited based on business size, incidence of occupational accident, and compliance of workplace safety and health education regulation. Questionnaire included personal factors, workplace factors, and needs of safety and health education at work. Male workers were 85.3% and more than 50% were in their 30s and had university education. Overall needs of educational contents and its methods were greater in manufacturing and services than construction. Two dimensional properties of effective educational contents perceived were 'knowledge structure' which divided to safety and health, and 'behavior outcomes' which divided to indirect and direct. Two dimensional properties of educational methods were 'class activity' which divided to experience-based and verbal-based and 'class participation' which divided to passive and active. Effective educational contents and its methods perceived by safety and health managers commonly included the characteristics of direct, case-based, and participation.

  • Scaffolds are essential in bone tissue engineering, as they provide support to cells and growth factors necessary to regenerate tissue. In addition, they meet the mechanical function of the bone while it regenerates. Currently, the multiple methods for designing and manufacturing scaffolds are based on regular structures from a unit cell that repeats in a given domain. However, these methods do not resemble the actual structure of the trabecular bone which may work against osseous tissue regeneration. To explore the design of porous structures with similar mechanical properties to native bone, a geometric generation scheme from a reaction-diffusion model and its manufacturing via a material jetting system is proposed. This article presents the methodology used, the geometric characteristics and the modulus of elasticity of the scaffolds designed and manufactured. The method proposed shows its potential to generate structures that allow to control the basic scaffold properties for bone tissue engineering such as the width of the channels and porosity. The mechanical properties of our scaffolds are similar to trabecular tissue present in vertebrae and tibia bones. Tests on the manufactured scaffolds show that it is necessary to consider the orientation of the object relative to the printing system because the channel geometry, mechanical properties and roughness are heavily influenced by the position of the surface analyzed with respect to the printing axis. A possible line for future work may be the establishment of a set of guidelines to consider the effects of manufacturing processes in designing stages.

  • This study solves the inverse kinematics problem of industrial FANUC robot. Because every joint angle of FANUC robot is dependent on the position of end-effector and the direction of approach vector, arm metrix T6 is very complicated and each joint angle is a function of other joint angles. Therefore, the inverse kinematics problem can not be solved by conventional methods. Noticing the fact that if one joint angle is known, the other joint angles are calculated by the algebraic methods. $ heta$1 is calculated using neumerical analysis method, and solves inverse kinematics problem. This proposed method, in this study, is more simpler and faster than conventional methods and is very useful in the real-time control of the manipulator.

  • A non-linear vibration isolation system composed of a non-linear spring and a linear damper was presented in a previous study. The advantage of the proposed isolator is the simple structure of the system. When the base of the isolator is harmonically excited, the response component of the mass at the excitation frequency was approximated using three different methods: linear approximation, harmonic balance, and higher-order frequency response functions (FRFs). The method using higher-order FRFs produces significantly more accurate results compared with the other methods. The error between the exact and approximate responses does not increase monotonously with the excitation amplitude and is less than 2%.

  • In piercing operation for small hole in very thin plate, micro burrs are formed. The micro burr is very difficult to remove because the thin plate is to be deformed during deburring and deteriorate accuracy. As a first step to remove the micro burrs effectively, the burr must be measured accurately as much as possible. For most micro burrs are so small as less than 10$\mu\textrm{m}$, it is very difficult to measure. Several methods are reviewed to measure the micro burr formed in piercing operation from very thin plate with thickness less than 0.1mm. Also the effective deburring methods are reviewed. Barreling ultrasonic and chemical deburring methods are performed and the results are compared.

  • This paper suggests a new method for making a navigation path by using Bezier curve in order to improve the navigation performance used to avoid obstacles during a robot soccer game. We analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of both vector-field and limit-cycle navigation methods, which are the mostly widely used navigation methods for avoiding obstacles. To improve the disadvantages of these methods, we propose a new design technique for generating a more proper path using Bezier curve and describe its advantages. Using computer simulations and experiments, we compare the performance of vector-field navigation with that of Bezier curve navigation. The results prove that the navigation performance using Bezier curve is relatively superior to the other method.

  • In this study, analytical methods for designing a torque arm pin and elastomeric bushings of a conventional-type three-point-suspension gearbox of a wind turbine are investigated. The design loads for the torque arm were derived by considering the effects of the transmitted torque and self-weight of the gearbox. Based on the design loads, design methods for the torque arm pin and elastomeric bushings were introduced in the terms of material and size selection. Finally, a small-scale conventional-type gearbox was designed by applying the derived design methods. This study is an elementary and analytical study for the design of the torque arm pin and elastomeric bushings. It is necessary to verify and supplement the results further through extensive experimentation.
