요소 엽면시비가 온주밀감의 동계낙엽, 신초생장 및 착과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Urea Foliar Spray on Winter Defoliation, Shoot Growth and Fruit Setting in Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.))

  • 감귤재배에 있어 과다시용되고 있는 질소질비료의 시용량을 줄이고 수세를 건실하게 유지시키기 위하여 저온기에 시용되는 가을비료와 꽃비료를 요소 엽면시비로 대치, 그 효과를 검토한 결과 수확직후 1% 요소 2회 엽면시비는 엽중 N함량과 엽록소 함량을 증가시켰고, 동계낙엽율을 감소시켰다. 또한 발아전후 0.8% 요소 2회 엽면시비는 신초생장, 자방비대를 촉진시켰고 착화량과 착과수를 증가시켰다. 요소엽면시비에 따른 과실품질에는 차이가 없었다.

수확년도에 따른 조생온주 밀감의 품질변화 (Physicochemical Properties of Satsuma Mandarin according to Harvest Year)

  • Physicochemical properties of early cultivar of Satsuma mandarin(Citrus unshiu Marc. var. miyagawa) according to harvesting year during 1990 to 1995 were investigated. Climatic conditions of every year affected the quality of citrus fruits. Compared to other harvesting years, flesh ratio and soluble solids were higher, but acid content was lower on citrus fruits produced in 1994, as for good climatic conditions during growth of fruits. Especially, acid content of fruits produced in 1993 was higher, compared to those of years, as for low mean temperature and high rainfalls. Fruit weight, peel thickness and soluble solids had a good linear correlation to fruits size, but acid content and flesh ratio had not correlation derived from difference of individual fruits. From the climatic data, the prediction of fruit quality would be possible in some degree before harvest. It seemed recommend to ably the flexibe method by harvesting year for the quality stanardization of citrus fruit.

RCP 8.5 기후변화시나리오에 근거한 온주밀감과 '부지화'의 잠재적 재배지 변화 예측 (Projection of Potential Cultivation Region of Satsuma Mandarin and 'Shiranuhi' Mandarin Hybrid Based on RCP 8.5 Emission Scenario)

  • 감귤 중 우리나라에서 가장 많은 면적을 차지하는 온주밀감(Citrus unshiu Marc.)과 '부지화'[Shiranuhi, (Citrus unshiu ${\times}$ C. sinensis) ${\times}$ C. reticulata]를 대상으로 1981년부터 2010년까지를 기준년도로 하여 2090년까지 잠재적 재배지 변화를 예측하였다. 재배지 변화는 국가농림기상센터와 기상청에서 제공하는 기상자료와 RCP 8.5 기후변화시나리오를 바탕으로 제작된 30m 해상도를 가진 농업용전자기후도를 이용하였다. 온주밀감의 잠재적 재배적지는 기준년도에서는 대부분 제주 지역이 해당되었으며, 재배가능지는 제주 동부지역과 남해안 일부지역이 포함되었다. 2030년대에는 온주밀감 재배적지는 증가하였으며 재배가능지도 전남지역의 해안 지역을 중심으로 증가하였다. 2060년대부터는 재배적지는 제주 산간과 전남과 경남, 강원도 해안지역으로 점차 증가하고 재배가능지도 경북, 충남, 전북 지역까지 확대되었다. '부지화' 감귤인 경우 기준년도에서 재배적지는 제주 해안 지역 일부만 포함되었으며 재배가능지는 제주지역과 전남 남해안 일부 지역만 해당되었다. 2030년대 재배적지는 현재 온주밀감 재배지가 해당되었으며 재배가능지도 남해안 일부 지역까지 북상하였다. 2090년대에는 재배적지가 점점 증가하여 제주지역 전체와 전남, 경남, 강원도 해안지역이 재배적지가 되었으며 재배가능지도 점점 해안가를 중심으로 북상하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 RCP 8.5 기후변화시나리오를 근거로 감귤의 재배적지변화를 예측해 본 결과 온주밀감재배적지는 감소하고 '부지화' 감귤의 재배적지는 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 21세기 말에는 강원도 지역까지 감귤이 재배될 것으로 예측되었다.

Effect of Foliar Application of Gibberellic Acid and Machine Oil Emulsion Mixture on Flowering and Fruit Quality of Satsuma Mandarin (C. unshiu Marc. cv. Miyagawa) Cultivated on Open Fields

  • In satsuma mandarin (C. unshiu Marc. cv. Miyagawa), alternate bearing is frequently occurred. It is very difficult to control and maintain the optimum production because satsuma mandarin is a very sensitive citrus cultivar. We carried out the experiment to find out the effects of foliar application of gibberellic acid ($GA_3$) and machine oil emulsion mixture on flowering and fruit quality of satsuma mandarin grown on open field. The treatments were composed of control (no application), $GA_3$ (25, 50 and $100mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$), machine oil emulsion 100 times and mixture of $GA_3$ (25 and $50mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$) with machine oil emulsion 100 times on 16 year-old 'Miyagawa' satsuma mandarin on December 30, 2012. Foliar application of $GA_3$ during winter season led to a reduction of the flowering in the following year. $GA_3$ decreased flowering in dose dependant manner. However, application of $GA_3$ and machine oil emulsion (100 times-diluted mixture) inhibited effectively the flowering compared to $GA_3$ only. Also, flower-leaf ratio was significantly decreased by the application of $GA_3$ 25 (0.54) and $50(0.41)mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ with machine oil emulsion mixture in comparison to $GA_3$ 25 (0.86) and $50(0.60)mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ only. The number of leaves per fruit increased in application of $GA_3$ and machine oil emulsion mixture as concentration of $GA_3$ increased. Fruit weight and sugar-acid ratio also increased in comparison to the control whereas fruit size, soluble solid content and acidity remained unchanged. From the results, it was suggested that $GA_3$ application can reduce the number of flowers on the alternate bearing of satsuma mandarin. Moreover, application of $GA_3$ (25 and $50mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$) with machine oil emulsion 100 times mixture can reduce the flowering effectively without altering fruit maturity and soluble solid contents. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of $GA_3$ 25 and $50mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ with machine oil emulsion 100 times might be useful in controlling alternate bearing in satsuma mandarin.

지베렐린 엽면살포가 '궁천조생' 감귤의 착화와 과실품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Foliar Application of GA3 on the Flower Bud Formation and Fruit Quality of Satsuma Mandarine (C. unshiu Marc. cv. Miyagawa))

  • BACKGROUND: Control of alternate bearing satsuma mandarin in Jeju is very important to maintain the optimum price of fruit and get the sustainable income of farmers. Unlike orange, Satsuma mandarin is well known to sensitive on alternate bearing. We carried out the experiment to know the effect of foliar application of $GA_3$ on the flowering and fruit quality of satsuma mandarin (C. unshiu Marc. cv. Miyagawa). METHODS AND RESULTS: To experiment, the treatments consist of control, different concentration of $GA_3$ (25, 50 and 100 mg/L), machine oil emulsion 100 times and mixture of various concentration of $GA_3$ (25 and 50 mg/L) with machine oil emulsion 100 times which it was applied on 15 year-old Miyagawa satsuma mandarin at December 29, 2011. Foliar application of $GA_3$ in winter reduced the flowering of satsuma mandarin. Flower-leaf ratio was significantly reduced at 100 mg/L $GA_3$, while no differences observed in low concentration of $GA_3$ (25 and 50 mg/L). However, it was significantly decreased to 0.19 in application of $GA_3$ 25 and 50 mg/L with machine oil emulsion 100 times mixture. Number of leaves per fruit was significantly increased as foliar application of $GA_3$ also it reduced the fruits remarkably. Soluble solid contents and Hunter's a of peel color ratio showed no difference among $GA_3$ single treatments, but it was reduced in $GA_3$ 25 and 50 mg/L with machine oil emulsion 100 times mixtures significantly. From the results, it has been found that higher $GA_3$ concentration can reduce the number of flowers on the alternate bearing of satsuma mandarin. However, it was found that lower concentration of $GA_3$ with machine oil emulsion mixture 100 times can reduce flowering. CONCLUSION(S): The foliar application of $GA_3$ (100 mg/L) can alleviate alternate beraring. Also, mixture of lower concentration of $GA_3$ with machine oil emulsion 100 times can retard flowering more significantly while it needs further confirmation.

  • The amount of water for the cultivation of citrus is different based on the growing period. The water content in the leaves of citrus can be a index for watering during cultivation. The purpose of this study is to determine non-destructively the water content of Citrus leaves by using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Citrus leaves were prepared from satsuma mandarin leaves (Citrus unshiu Marc. var. okitsu) ranging from 62.20 to 69.98% of water content by loss on drying, NIR reflectance spectra of Citrus leaves were acquired by using a fiber optic probe.   • 여름철 고온기를 지나는 하우스 밀감은 착색이 되기 전에 과육이 선숙되는데, 일반적으로 착색은 고온에 의해 지연된다(Goldschmidt, 1988). 소비자들은 충분히 착색되지 않고 녹색을 띤 밀감은 성숙이 안된 것으로 생각하고 있기 때문에 수확 후 에테폰 처리에 의해 착색을 촉진시키고 있으나(Jimenez-Cuesta 등, 1983) 과경부의 꼭지가 쉽게 건조되고 짙은 오렌지색으로 발색되지 않고 연한 노란 색으로 되어 상품성이 높지 못하다. (중략)

Effect of Embryogenic Callus Conditions on Plant Regeneration in Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.)

  • The ability to form embryiod from callus in satsuma mandarin is low and unstable. In this study, the conditions of embryogenic calli induced from nucellar tissue for promotion of plant regeneration in satsuma mandarin were investigated. The calli of I, II and III line were divided into two sizes of 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm in diameter and two weight gradients of percoll at 40% and 50% though the filter mesh. The frequency of embryo formation from $\phi$ 1.0mm-40% was slightly higher than callus that from others. Adventitious embryoids developed to a globular stage were transferred to regeneration medium. In 'Miyagawa Wase', the embryos from I and II line developed into a heart stage from most of $\phi$ 0.5 mm- 40% and $\phi$1.0 mm-40% calli, but it failed in 'Sugiyama Unshu'. In the cultivar of 'Miyagawa Wase', 63% of adventitious embryos transferred to the regeneration medium developed into the heart stage from the most $\phi$ 1.0 mm-40% calli of I line, but of 'Sugiyama Unshu' failed in some calli condition. The embryoids from two callus lines developed further to shoots and plantlets, while the embriods from III line abnormal failed to regenerate in the cultivar. From these results, it is suggested that the plant regeneration from embryogenic callus in satsuma mandarin could be affected by callus conditions.
