There has recently been increasing male college students' interest in and expenditure on fashion apparel. Specifically, the younger generation has a tendency to take an interest in knitwear due to its potential benefits such as elasticity and flexibility. The purpose of this research is to identify male college student's knowledge and buying behavior of knitwear and to provide the related information to academicians and industrial personnel. The subjects of this research were male college students in their twenties who live in Seoul and Gyounggi areas. 450 questionnaires were randomly distributed to the 20s male students from April 20, to May 4, 2009, and 409 questionnaires were correctly received. The results are as follows: First, Male college students' interest in knitwear is not above the average. Second, they focus more on a practical value of knitwear than on an aesthetic value of knitwear. Third, when purchasing knitwear, male college students first consider design, followed by color, pattern and quality. Forth, male college students want to be shown as a neat image when they wear knitwear.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the types and characteristics of male college nursing students' adaptation to their academic department. Methods: Q methodology was applied to determine the subjectivity of the male nursing students' adaptation to their academic department. Fifty male nursing students were asked to select and answer questions among a set of 36 Q-statements using a 9-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using the PC QUANL program. Results: Three types of male students' adaptation to the department of nursing were identified. Type I was termed 'resilience-acceptance', Type II, 'inner-conflict', and Type III, 'goal-oriented'. Conclusion: The study results can be used as the basic data needed to develop nursing interventions suitable to the types of male college nursing students' adaptation to their academic department.
Objectives: This study aimed to explore and describe the factors that influence nursing professionalism in male nursing students. Methods: Participants were 172 male nursing students. Data were collected with structured questionnaires from November 1 to November 19, 2018. Data were analyzed IBM SPSS Statistics version 21 software for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: Nursing professionalism in male nursing students was significantly correlated with gender stereotypes (r=-.337, p<.001) and self-leadership (r=-639, p<.001). Moreover, the significant factors of nursing professionalism in male nursing students were gender stereotypes (${\beta}=-.188$, p=.002), self-leadership (${\beta}=-.584$, p<.001), and clinical practice experience (${\beta}=-.116$, p=.046), which explained 45.3%. Conclusions: The result of this study, indicate that in order to increase nursing professionalism in male nursing students, it is necessary to develop nursing intervention programs that can improve self-leadership, reduce stereotypes, and provide positive images of clinical practice.
This study examined the sweet taste perception, perception of sugar reduction, and utilization of nutrition labeling according to the awareness of the self-perceived sugar intake reduction of university students in Chungbuk Area. The subjects (n=419) were divided into two groups: Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (ASIR) group, male=110, female=109; Non Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (NASIR) group, male=115, female=85. The overweight/obesity was significantly higher in the ASIR group than in the NASIR group for both male and female students. The sweet taste perception was significantly lower in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The purchase level of a product with reduced sugar instead of the original products was significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than the NASIR group. Beverage purchases after identifying the sugar content were significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The necessity of nutrition labeling education was significantly higher in the ASIR group both male and female students. Based on these results, the correct perception of sugar reduction and continuous and practical nutrition education of sugar intake reduction need to maintain healthy dietary habits in university students.
This study was conducted to assess the information of food safety by college students according to mass-media reports. To accomplish this, a survey was conducted to investigate the preference and reliability, of primary mass-media sources of BSE information, and BSE-related knowledge of college students. The most common sources of media by male and female students were terrestrial television(60%), the internet(21%) and newspapers(11%) and terrestrial television(60%), newspapers (18%) and the internet(17%), respectively. The reliability of media of male students were terrestrial television(53%) and the internet(40%), while for female students these values were terrestrial television(55%) and internet(37%), respectively. In the case of male students, the primary sources of information regarding BSE were terrestrial television(54%) and the internet(38%), but for female students the primary sources were terrestrial television(57%) and the internet(37%). Both male and female students were found to have less knowledge regarding prions, SRM, and MM type genes associated with BSE when compared to the other factors associated with this disease. In addition, the important determining factors for the food purchase of male and female students both were the orders of taste, hygiene, price. The preferences for meats and the beef-alternative meats of male and female students were the orders of pork, chicken. Based on these results, greater efforts should be made to provide meaningful information regarding the safe production and distribution of meats.
The researcher worked with 1001 middle and high school students so as to inquire into the family-related variables affecting the adolescents' school maladjustment from the results of the average, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis. The followings were the major findings. 1. The study activity was the first thing that the subjects did not adjust among their school life and the relationship with teacher, with opposite-sex friends, the rule-keeping and the friendship were the next in the order. 2. The researches on family-related variables affecting the school maladjustment were performed by gender (male / female), gender/school(male and middle / male and high / female and middle / female and high), school(middle / high) and system(academic / vocational). The most influential variables were the structural environment one in case of male students and male and middle school students; the parent-relationship one in case of female students, female and middle school students, female and high school students, middle school and vocational high school students; and the physical environment one in case of high school students, male and high school students and academic high school students.
This thesis is focused on kinematical and kinematical analysis of each types(Type #1 : use both swing of arm and reaction of knee, Type #2 : Use only swing of arm, not reaction of knee, type #3 : Neither use of swing of arm nor reaction of knee) of vertical jumps according to gender of High School Students. The subjects of this study is High School Student's male and female, 5 each, for analyzation of actions 3D image analyzing and GRF machines were used. To identify the differences of analyzed variables, an independent T-test on gender, an One-way ANOVA on types were used. Summery of the results are stated below. first of all, female students showed differences on Hip Joint angle and Joint Velocity from male students on Kimentic Variable. So training on hip joint force of flection and extension of female students is needed. Both male and female students showed relatively bigger result of arm's Angular Momentum than thigh's Angular Momentum on Type #1. This is regarded of faster Joint Velocity of Arm. Bigger result of female students of arm's contribution on Type #1 than male students can be said as Female student's weaker hip joint's angular muscle force than male student's, so the dependency of arm is heavier than male students. In Kinetic variable, GRF showed bigger result on male students than female students. So female students need to enhance joint's torque to increase GRF than male students. On vertical Impulse, high numeric data of last two reaction of tiptoe of vertical GRF and antero-posterior GRF helped increasing impulse by extending action time of force.
This study attempted to find out a way which is to establish a desirable value and social culture related to sexuality. This study examined student's value and preference about sex and at the same time resolving method to correct ill-rooted value of male preference in our social culture. This study subjects consisted of 409 male and female students of a college located in Incheon area. The study data collected from June 5th to June 11th. 1998. Survey technique was chosen to collect data and analized by SPSS/PC+, SAS program using statistical methods of frequency. percent. $X^ 2-test$ and t-test. The study results are as follows ; 1) Sex satisfaction score of male students was higher than female students and the difference was significant statistically (p<0.0001). 2) There was a difference between male and female student's thought that our socity's structure has a sex discrimination. But female students felt strongly unequality of sex in our socity. 3) $65.4\%$ of total students have a general knowledge about sex and female student's score was higher than male students. The high percent of students get into know sex through mass media $(32.6\%)$ and peer groups $(31.9\%)$. 4) Student's attitude to sex was different from male and female students. Male students have more liberal attitude about sex than female students. 5) $97.1\%$ of the total students believe that our socity has son preference. 6) $86.5\%$ of the total students thought that sex ratio disproportion resulted from male preference is worriable problems in our socity. But there was no significant difference between both sexes.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the regional 야fferences in dietary supplement use and related factors among college students participating in nutritional education programs via the internet. The subjects in this study were 797 college students (male: 518, female: 279). A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire about dietary supplement use, demographic characteristics, health-related lifestyles, nutrient intake, and data were collected via the internet and by mail. Dietary supplements were taken by 82.2% of subjects (males: 76.3%, females: 85.3%). There was a significant regional difference in supplement use (p<0.01). The supplements, used most frequent by male students in the Seoul and Incheon areas were lactic acid beverages and gagogi, in that order. Male students in the Kyunggi area used gagogi and lactic acid beverages in that order. Lactic acid beverages and Chinese medicine were used most frequently by male students in the Chungcheong area. Male students in the Kyungsang area used lactic acid beverages and water-soluble vitamins, in that order. Male students in Seoul and Kyungsang areas showed significantly higher percentage of keep on taking supplements compared to other areas (p<0.05). Both male and female students in the Seoul area had more frequent medical examinations, in comparison to students in other areas (p<0.05). Male students in the Kyungsang and Seoul areas took significantly more calcium (p<0.05) and iron (p<0.05), in comparison to students in other areas. Female students id the Kyunsang area took significantly more Vitamin A, phosphorous and iron (p<0.05), while those in the Seoul area took significantly more Vitamin C (p <0.01) and calcium (p<0.05) . Male students in the Chungcheong area took significantly less seaweed, in comparison to students in other areas (p<0.05) . Male students in the Seoul area had the highest amount of animal fat and oil, while those in the Incheon area ate the lowest amount of animal oil and fat (p<0.05). Female students in the Kyunggi area ate the highest amount of fruit, while those in the Incheon area ate the lowest amount of fruit (p< 0.05) , Female students in the Incheon area ate the highest amount of seaweed, while those in the Kyunggi area ate the lowest amount of seaweed (p<0.01). Therefore, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop dietary supplements to optimize the nutritional status of college students in different areas of Korea.
In order to obtain the information on the status of using university cafeteria and students' preferences, the survey was conducted through questionaires to 434 students(male:195, female : 239) of 8 universities - 2 universities employed dietitian and 6 universities which didn't employ dietitian -through all the area of Incheon from 19th November 1990 to 14th December, 1990. The results obtained were as follows. 1) For keeping temperature of meals until service to students Refrigerator or warming cabinet or putting meals on low flames were used, and the amount for one person was almost decided by rough estimation by experience. All the foods remained were discarded. Also most of the cooking manager's age were from 50 to 59 and almost cooking managers graduated middle school. The fuel to cook was gas or kerosene. Method to disinfect tableware was boiling. 2) In case of the frequency of using university cafeteria, male students used cafeteria more often than female students, and regardless of sex students made use of cafeteria for lunch more than for breakfast and supper. Students also used university cafeteria not employing dietitian more than cafeteria employing dietitian. Disregarding of male, female, cafeteria employing cafeteria not employing dietitian, all students pointed out that main reason for using cafeteria were 'low price' and 'no other place to eat' And minor reasons were ' good taste' and 'meal quality'. On the contrary, the case of not using cafeteria were 'waiting in line' to male students, 'poor taste' to female students, 'waiting in line' and 'no varieties' on the cafeteria which employed dietitian, 'poor taste' and 'poor hygienes' on the cafeteria which didn't employ dietitian. 3) Considering of the preferences of menu, both male and female students liked "Bibim Bab" And male students prefered meals which contained broth both but female students prefered a light meals. 4) the difference of preferences showed that female student's preferences were high at all foods, and the preferences of fruits were high for both students. In detail, male students liked port, liver and small intestine of cattle, oyster and beans boiled in soysauce. But female students likde milk, yogurt and cucumber.
