The purpose of this survey was to investigate the nutrient intake of college students. This survey was carried out through questionnaires, and the subjects were 498 male and 151 female students at Inha University. The results are summarized as follows: 1) Average height of male and female students were 173.0cm, 160.5cm and the average weight of those were 64.5kg, 49.7kg respectively. 2) Most nutrients were intaken properly but some were under % of RDA. For the male students, the average intake of calorie(91.5%) vitamin A(55.9%) vitamin B1(96.8%) vitamin B2(88.0%) and Ca(96.5%) were lower than RDA. For the female students the average intake of calorie(94.1%) vitamin A(64.6%) Ca(90.3%) and Fe(71.0%) were lower than RDA. 3) The ratio of percent calorie of carbohydrate : protein :fat from total calories in male was 60:16:24 and that of female was 60:17:23 The percent calorie of carbohydrate from total calorie was decreased and taht of fat from total calories was increased compared to the results of previous study.
By the research of the actual state of food consciousness as the object of male, female 421 college students by major, non-major in food dietetics, the results are as follows. The validity degree of the guestion article appeared at the analysis of the knowledge of nutrition(the figure of Cronbach "${\alpha}$" overall 0.58, major 0.62, non-major 0.57). Therefore deviating from acquirement of nutrition knowledge by the wrong medium of food consciousness of home dietary life, improvement plans should be activated for the right knowledge to practice in actual life. Taking the opportunity of food and nutrition education through literary subject in the curriculum of the college for students, good food consciousness must be properly applied all the part of dietary life, and it is urgent for them to carry out scientific and reasonable curriculum and educational material development.
The purposes of this study were to determine what kinds of food university students had, how often they were eating out and how much they consumed. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 597 university students (male $40.9\%$, female : $51.9\%$). The students who spent under 200 thousand won per month had regular meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The students with personal monthly spending over 300 thousand won, both male and female, ate out more than others. The female students had more protein foods than the male students. Consumption of milk and milk products increased with rising monthly spending for female students. Regardless of monthly spending, the male students ate seaweeds low in 1-2 time per a week. Consumption of rice decreased with rising monthly spending for male and female students.
The purpose of this study was to highlight the importance of 'marital preparation skill' by focusing on more substantial and tangible skills in marriage life, and to conduct an exploratory research to examine the current conditions and gender differences in marital preparation skills of college students. Data were gathered through a self-administered questionnaire in four universities located in Seoul and Gyeong-gi areas in the spring of 2013, and a total of 332 senior students chosen were used for data analysis. Based on the instrument used in Olson & Olson's(2000) PREPARE/ENRICH Program, the present study sought to suggest a measurement tool with the moniker of 'marital preparation skill' that included seven domains: conflict resolution skill, sexual relationship skill, household labor skill, financial management skill, leisure management skill, parenting preparation skill, and parental role skill. Each domain consisted of four items and thus, a total of 28 items were utilized for this study. Descriptive statistics were analyzed in order to examine the degree of marital preparation skills, and t-tests were conducted in order to assess the gender differences in marital preparation skills. The main results of this study are as follows: First, overall the degree of marital preparation skills of male students was higher than that of female students. Particularly, female students were lower than male students in the skills of financial management and conflict resolution. Second, regarding the basic household labor skill related to clothing and housing life, male students showed higher than female students, implying the impact of military life. Third, even though the degree of consciousness about appropriate preparation of parenthood and parental role seemed to be heightened, the actual degree of readiness of college students revealed to be insufficient. Male students had a much higher degree of confidence and sacrifice acceptance about parenthood, and understanding about their parents' child-rearing style than female students, while the mindset of child-rearing participation of male students was lower than that of female students. Findings of this study can be used as basic data for developing more effective and differentiated educational programs of marital preparation skills for men and women.
Purpose: Due to today's sexual openness, college students may be exposed to frequent sexual relations, which can affect their adulthood reproductive health, pregnancy, and delivery. The purposes of this study were to explore the degrees of sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and reproductive health promoting behaviors in male and female college students and to identify their gender differences. Methods: A descriptive comparative design was used. A total of 181 college students(92 male and 89 female) were recruited. Data were collected between March 17 and April 8, 2016 using a convenience sample in a university located in Y city. Results: For male students, there was no correlation between two variables. For female students, reproductive health promoting behaviors had a significant relationship with sexual attitudes. Conclusion: These findings provide essential information that health care providers can use to increase their awareness of the importance of gender specific treatments when caring individuals.
The purpose of study was to examine the associations between relationship with parents, personality traits and friendship quality among college students. A total of 373 college students (mean age=20.45, 53.6% girls) responded to questionnaires IPPA-R(Raja, McGee & Stanton, 1992) and IPIP(Goldberg, 1999). Pearson Correlation and regression analysis were used for data analysis 1) Both male and female students who have positive experiences with parents positive experiences with their friends. 2) For male college students, extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness were positively correlated with friendship quality. However, for female students, only extroversion and agreeableness were positively associated with friendship quality whereas neuroticism was negatively associated with friendship quality. 3) A good relationships with significantly interacted with conscientiousness of personality traits in predicting male students' friendship quality. For female college students, the moderating effect of extroversion was found in the link between relationship with mother and friendship quality.

Background: In this study, we aimed to investigate the drinking behaviors and drinking-related problems of college students in South Korea to produce national alcohol statistics. Methods: We carefully examined the questionnaires and previous research developed in the previous research project and selected questions that reflect the special environment and culture of college students. In order to stratify a nationally representative sample of college students, the distribution of students around the country were found through the educational statistics database of the Korea Educational Development Institute. Based on this information, we conducted a survey in collaboration with Gallup (Korea) to survey and analyze the drinking behaviors of 5,024 Korean students. Results: A nationwide cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2017, for Korean college students. A total of 5,024 students were recruited and analyzed. The monthly drinking rate was 78.0% for male students and 72.9% for female students. The high-risk drinking rate was 23.3% for male students and 17.2% for female students. The most popular category for number of drinks per drinking session was 'more than 10 glasses' per drinking session for both male (44.1%) and female (32.8%). On the alcohol use disorders identification test, the greatest proportion of male students were in the high-risk drinking category (score 8 to 15) 43.8%, followed by the 'low-risk drinking' (score 0 to 7) in 43.6%, 'alcohol abuse' (score 16 to 19) 7.2%, and 'alcohol dependence' (greater than 20) 5.4% categories, respectively. For female students, the greatest proportion of female students were in the 'low-risk drinking' in 49.6%, followed by 'high-risk drinking' 37.1%, 'alcohol abuse' 8.4%, and 'alcohol dependence' 4.9% categories, respectively. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the drinking behavior of Korean college students was excessive. Overall, it was found that the college population has a greater high-risk drinking behaviors than general adult population. Furthermore, these problem drinking behaviors were prominent among female college students. Results from the present study suggest that it is necessary to monitor the drinking behavior of college students with constant interest and to prepare policies and strategies suitable for these circumstances.

This study conducted a survey to find out the opinions on oral health behavior and oral health education according to gender in health and non-health college students. According to the research results, there were many girls in the health-realted field and boys in the non-health-related college students. Among the oral health behaviors, brushing in school was common in both boys and girls in the health-related college students, and professional oral health education experiences were also found in the health-related college students. The need for oral health education among male students was 76.4% for healh-related college students, 48.3% for non-health-related college students, whereas female health-related college students showed 80.3%, and non-health -related college students were 60.4%. Participation in oral health education in order of male health-related students, male non-health-related students, female health-related students, and female non-health-related students were 81.9%, 68.1%, 84.8% and 73.3% respectively. The preferred method of oral health education was experiential education such as brushing for both male and female in the health-related college students, and lectures by dentists or dental hygienist were the highest reponse for non-health-related college students. The preferred location for oral health education was highest in schools. Through the results of this study, it was considered necessary to develop and disseminate appropriate oral health education programs according to college students' majors and gender, and to form correct oral health knowledge, attitudes and behaviors for oral health through oral health education.
This study was conducted to promote male nursing students' adaptation to college life by identifying life stress, grit, and degree of adaptation to college life, and the effect of grit mediating effect on the relationship between life stress and college life adjustment. became The subjects of this study were 209 male nursing college students enrolled in nursing departments in 5 major cities. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 25.0. Life stress showed a significant negative correlation with college life adaptation and grit, but grit showed a positive correlation with college life adaptation. As a result of mediating effect verification, the final model explained 43.5% of college life adaptation. Therefore, in order to improve male nursing students' adaptation to college life, it is required to develop a program that can lower life stress and increase grit and college life adaptation level.
