A Study on the Underwear Pattern Sizes among Toddlers' Brands (토들러복 브랜드의 내의(內衣) 패턴 조사(調査) 연구(硏究))

  • In order to compare the pattern sizes of toddlers' brands, the apparel size #95 and #100, #110 were surveyed, while upper body lengths, bust circumferences and waists, hip circumferences, shoulder length, sleeve length, neck circumferences of toddlers' underwears were examined. As a result, it was found that upper body lengths, chest circumferences and lower body lengths of toddlers' underwears differed more or by $2.0cm{\sim}3.0cm$ among brands than other sizes. In case of underwear size #95, the average upper body length was 32.8cm; the upper body size of "c" brand was longest or 33.5cm, while that of "e" brand was shortest or 32.0cm. In case of size #80, the average upper body length was 36.0cm; the upper body size of "a" brand was longest or 37.0cm, while that of "e" brand was shortest of 35.0cm. Such findings may be attributable to the fact that the main customers of "a" and "b" brands whose pattern sizes are larger are middle or lower class people who tend to buy larger toddlers' apparels than their children's actual body sizes. In contrast, "e" brand seems to target the upper class who prefers the apparels almost fitting their children's actual body sizes.

The Study on Cultural Communication and Shopping Benefit in Fashion Cultural Complex Space (패션복합문화공간의 문화커뮤니케이션과 쇼핑추구혜택에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the effects of cultural communication on the fashion distribution type and the shopping benefit in fashion cultural complex space. Surveys period was from Sep. 17th to Sep. 21st in 2012. The Subjects of this study were the young 207 people who had shopping experiences in fashion cultural complex space in their 20s~30s. The data were analyzed by a reliability analysis(Cronbach's ${\alpha}$), factor analysis and regression analysis. The main results of this study were summarized as follows. First, cultural communication in fashion cultural complex space were impacted by cultural brand, cultural display, cultural support and beneficial effect of culture. Second, customers pursued the shopping benefits to get social value, personal pleasure, individual style and economic value. Third, the preference of fashion outlet was effected by cultural brand and cultural display. The beneficial effect of culture and cultural brand influenced on department store preference. The preference of fashion multi-brand shop was impacted by cultural brand, cultural support and beneficial effect of culture. Fourth, cultural communication in fashion cultural complex space had an effect on pursuing shopping benefits. Fifth, customer's demographic characteristics impacted on cultural brand, cultural display and beneficial effect of culture. Especially, these 3 cultural communications were effected by monthly average fashion spending than age/total income.

Consumer Attitude Formation on Private Apparel Brand (유통업체 의류 상표에 대한 소비자 태도 형성)

  • The strength of the PB(Private Brand) is that it can eliminate intermediary in the distribution channel and thoroughly control the quality under its own name. This study has developed traditional studies on private brand proneness in approaching data processing and empirical point of view of a consumer's attitude buildup process on PB through 'recognition-attitude-action(behavioral attitude)'. The subjects of this study are consumers in their $20s{\sim}40s$ who are main customer groups of PBs. A screening process has taken place to select consumers with purchasing experiences of retailor PBs. The data is analyzed by 'Structural Equation Modeling' of Amos 5.0 to verify consumer attitude formation model on private apparel brand. The results generated from this study are as follows: First, the proposed consumer attitude model on private apparel brand consists of store evaluation, experiential product evaluation, cognitive product evaluation, hedonic attitude, utilitarian attitude and purchase intention. Second, not only positively influence on utilitarian attitude but hedonic attitude can arouse positive emotional reaction of a consumer. Third, the store evaluation is ahead of the product evaluation because PB is more related to the image of a store. The influence of the store on PB is relatively stronger when compared with NB.

The Effects of County-of-Origin, BrandImage, and Corporate Image Dimensions on Brand Evaluations and Purchase Intentions of Smart Phones of Five Brands: A Comparative Study of China and Korea

  • Purpose - In the academic literature, the researches on a comparative study on purchase behaviors of the consumers from emerging and mature markets remain limited. Therefore, this empirical study is attempted to examine the effects of country of origin (COO), brand image and corporate image on the purchase behavior of Chinese consumers (as from emerging market) and Korean consumers (as from mature market). Research Design, data, methodology - In total, 615 valid questionnaires were collected from the main cities of China and Korea respectively, and a multiple group analysis was conducted to test the hypotheses with SPSS 16.0 and AMOS18.0. Results - Chinese consumers are not influenced by country-of-origin effect, whereas Korean consumers are sensitive to it. Both Chinese and Korean consumers are sensitive to brand image, whereas corporate image does appear to influence Chinese consumers but not Korean consumers. The effects of country-of-origin are not more influential in less developed market (China) than more developed market (Korea). Conclusions - According to the results of this empirical study, the country-of-origin effect does impact Korean consumers but not Chinese consumers' purchase behavior. Therefore, multinational companies are relatively free to make the decision, if Chinese consumers are the marketing targets, when choosing manufacturing sites.

Consumer Perceptions of Images in Fashion Instagram by Information Providers (Brand vs Consumers) -Focusing on Credibility, Usefulness, Enjoyment- (패션 인스타그램의 정보제공 주체(브랜드 vs 소비자)에 따른 소비자 인식 -신뢰성, 유용성, 유희성을 중심으로-)

  • This study investigated consumer perceptions of information provided in a fashion Instagram. This study examined the differences between information provided in Instagram by brand vs consumers. A pilot test was conducted to develop stimuli and a brand selection in the main study. Participants were randomly assigned to one of two stimuli manipulated by information providers, and examined the perceived credibility, usefulness, and enjoyment of information as well as brand attachment and purchase intention. We gathered and analyzed a total of 200 data. The findings of the study showed that respondents perceived significantly greater usefulness and purchase intention of images uploaded by consumers compared to the fashion brand. Credibility and enjoyment were significant factors to enhance brand attachment; in addition, usefulness, credibility, and enjoyment were significant factors to increase purchase intention. The findings of the study suggest academic and marketing implications.

  • This study was motivated by consideration of advertising effects on purchase intention of hotel customers in the situation that people can experience in web advertisements more easily and quickly through four main media. We intends to propose strategic web advertising marketing plans by investigating the relation among hotel web advertising attributions, advertising attitude, brand attitude and purchase intention of customers. In conclusion, in the situation that hotel service industry endeavors a lot to attract young customers, according to gentrified consumption culture and changes in an environmental trend, these results are expected to be used as data to establish web advertising marketing strategies to show trendy brand images to hotel customers, especially consumers of N Generation using official websites of hotels.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how Socially Responsible Advertisements and Socially Responsible Fashion Advertisements affect brand attitudes, dependent on the level of consumer recollection. The following is a summary of the main findings. Corporate Socially Responsible Advertisements had a positive effect on the behavioral attitude of consumers. However, Socially Responsible Fashion Advertisements more positively affected the emotive attitude. Considering the consumer's recollection, the influences of Socially Responsible Advertisements and Socially Responsible Fashion Advertisements on Brand Attitude were investigated. In the case of Socially Responsible Advertisement, the cognitive attitude factor, that is the rational aspect of consumers, induced a favorable response, whereas, in Socially Responsible Fashion Advertisements, the emotive attitude factor had the highest level of influence on consumers.

  • The purpose. of this study were to identify the types of consumer affective responses to investigate the attitude formation process on the apparel advertising and to identify the differences among related variables according to the sensation seeking and the brand famili-arity. The result of this study were as follows: 1. The consumer affective responses on ap-parel dvertising was composed of six dimensions; Upbeat feeling Negative feeling Warm feeling Sensual feeling Emotional feel-ing and Uninvolved feeling. 2. Customers' Voluntary Participation in Fashion Stores (패션매장에서의 고객참여에 관한 연구)

  • The current research investigates customers' voluntary participation, using a sample of 446 consumers who visit fashion retail stores. The main focus of this study is to test a social exchange CVP model, including three antecedents of customers' perceived justice through mediators of service satisfaction and brand commitment. In support of the proposed model, I identify fully mediated relationships from interactional justice to the three CVP via service satisfaction and brand commitment and partially mediated relationship from distributive justice to the three CVP through brand commitment. No mediated relationship found for procedural justice neither through service satisfaction nor brand commitment to the CVP behaviors. The results generally support that the significantly indirect effects of perceived justice to the three CVP and satisfaction and commitment are the important mediators in between. The concept of justice can be interpreted in light of the normative value of social exchange relationship.
