New Development of Hexahedral Type Vibration Motor Used for Mobile Phones

  • Mobile communication industry powered by electronics and information technology is building a transforming way for human communication. The latest electronics is so saturated to forget the difficulty in size reduction of electronic parts. However, mechanical parts, such as dynamic speakers and vibration motors, are intrinsically not easy to realize size reduction due to their construction. In this paper, a hexahedral type with simpler configuration is introduced to substitute for the conventional vibration motors. For uneven magnetic field analysis of the hexahedral type, FEM was used to determine magnetic flux density. After an analysis of magnetic and mechanical characteristics, it is shown that the coil configuration is the most important parameter to increase the output torque, and thus vibration. For optimization, genetic algorithm is used to find the optimal configuration of coil to maximize the output torque. Experimental results are also followed to confirm the validity of the proposed design.

  • The value of $I_c$(critical current) in HTS (High Temperature Superconductor) tape has a great influence on $B{\bot}$ (vertical field). Therefore, in shape design of field coil for the HTSG(High Temperature Superconducting Generator), a method to reduce the $B{\bot}$ should be considered in order to maintain the stability and substantial improvement on the performance. On the basis of the magnetic field analysis, this paper deals with various field coil shape to obtain small $B{\bot}$ by using Biot-Savart's law and image method. Moreover the analysis is verified by comparison with experimental results. And also this paper presents the advanced model by using 3D FEM(3 Dimensional Finite Element Method), in which flux density at armature is calculated in 5kVA class HTSG.

고온초전도 자기부상자석의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimal Design for HTS Magnetic Levitation Magnet)

  • 본 연구에서는 초고속 자기부상열차의 개발을 위한 기초연구의 성격을 가지고 있는 고온초전도 자기부상자석의 최적 설계를 수행하였다. 고온초전도 자기부상자석은 임계전류, 발생자장, 지상도체 등을 고려하여야 하는데 3차원 수치해석법을 이용하여 권선의 구조를 설계하였다. 권선의 형태로써 더블팬케이크형 고온초전도 권선을 선택하였으며 일정한 길이의 초전도선으로 최적의 부상조건을 가지는 구조를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 조건은 총 800m 고온초전도선을 사용하는 가정 하에 piece length 400m로 내경 100mm인 더블팬케이크형 코일 2개를 제작하여 직렬로 연결한 부상자석이다. 제작한 자석의 인덕턴스는 279.4mH였으며 임계전류는 42A 였다. 인덕턴스, 발생자장 모두 설계 시 제시한 계산 값과 일치하는 결과를 보여주었으므로 본 연구는 성공적으로 수행되었다고 할 수 있으며 본 결과는 향후 초전도 자기부상자석의 설계에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • For the optimal design of the induction heating cooker, precise and accurate analysis of the magnetic field inside the jar must be achieved first. Until now, design methods based on experience has been used in industry field. But this takes a lot of trial and error, high cost and also long development time. So the analysis of the magnetic field distribution is very important. In this paper the magnetic field inside the induction heating cooker is analyzed by using axisymmetrical FEM(finite element method). And the method of the coil location design for the optimal heat source distribution using sensitivity analysis is developed. In addition, the shielding effect of the non-axisymmetrical 3-D ferrite structure used in induction heating cooker is also analyzed by the integral method.

축소 함정을 이용한 최적 소자기법 검증 (Verification of Optimum Degaussing Technique through the Mock-up Test of a Ship)

  • 본 논문에서는 축소 함정을 이용한 소자시험을 통하여 강자성체 선체에 의해 발생하는 수중 자기장 왜곡신호를 최소화할 수 있는 최적 소자기법의 타당성을 검증하였다. 소자코일에 의해 발생하는 소자 자기장 신호를 예측하기 위하여, 축소 함정 내에 설치된 개별 소자코일에 대한 코일효과를 측정하였다. 코일효과의 선형성과 해석적인 민감도 식을 기반으로 각 소자코일에 인가해야 할 최적 소자전류를 도출하였다. 확립된 최적 소자기법의 성능 검증을 위하여, 도출된 최적 소자전류를 축소 함정의 소자코일에 인가하여 발생하는 소자 전 후의 자기장 왜곡신호를 측정하고 분석하였다. 시험결과 소자 후 자기장 왜곡신호의 크기는 소자 전에 비해 95 % 정도 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, the RF inductive discharge or inductively coupled plasma continues to attract growing attention as an effective plasma source in many industrial applications, the best known of which are plasma processing and lighting technology. To the point of lighting sources, the ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamps utilizing an inductively coupled plasma have been objects of interest and research during the last decades, mainly because of their potential for extremely long life, high lamp efficacies, rapid power switching response. In this paper, maxwell 3D finite element analysis program (Ansoft) was used to obtain electromagnetic properties associated with the coil and nearby structures. The electromagnetic emitting properties were presented by 3D simulation software operated at 250 kHz and some specific conditions. The electromagnetic field in the ferrite core was shown to be high and symmetric. An LS-100 luminance meter and a Darsa-2000 spectrum analyzer were used in the experiment. According to data on the lamp tested using high magnetic field ferrite, the optical and thermal wave fields were shown to be high around the ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamp. The optical or light field was high at the center of the bulb rather than around the ferrite core. The light conditions of the bulb were assumed to be complex, depending on the condition of the filler gas, the volume of the bulb, and the frequency of the inverter. Our results have shown coupling between the gas plasma and the field of the light emitted to be nonlinear.

  • Nowadays, many studies and researches in data storage have been carried out and storage capacity is increased. But the limitation of storage capacity is happened for several problems. One of them is spot & pit size in optical and magnetic data storage and another is the resolution of actuators. The problems in spot & pit size is covered by new data storage methods- for example, NFR{Near-Field Recoding) system. But the resolution limit of an actuator doesn't follow up the development of spot & pit size. Because of them, we should improve a resolution of an actuator. Especially, in this paper an actuator is studied and designed for NFR(in using SIL(Solid Immersion Lens) system. It is a dual stage actuator, which consists of a Fine actuator and a Coarse actuator, and should desire 100nm accuracy. But, our actuator system only includes tracking mechanism execpt focusing mechanism which is controlled by slider mechanism used in HDD. Its actuating force generation method is VCM(Voice Coil Motor). The Fine actuator is composed of 4-leaf springs and a bobbin wrapped by coil. The Coarse actuator has Coils and 3-Roller bearings.

  • 논문은 가전기구의 사용으로 발생하는 유도전압 및 자장의 측정과 분석에 대한 것으로 본 실험에 사용한 유도전압과 자장 측정회로는 유도코일, 선행증폭기, 그리고 능동적분기로 구성하였다. TV와 퍼스널 컴퓨터용 모니터는 스위칭소자로 동작하는 전원장치를 사용하므로 고조파 성분을 많이 포함하는 강한 자장과 유도전압을 발생시켰다. 14"TV 주변에서 큰 자장과 높은 유도전압이 나타났고, 그 값은 측정거리 0.4 [m]에서 각각 2.1 [$\mu$Tp-p]와 140[mVp-p]이었다. 그러나 동일한 측정거리에서 단위 자장의 세기에 대한 유도전압은 17"모니터에서 약560 [mV/$\mu$T]로 가장 크게 나타났다.장 크게 나타났다.

  • After fifteen years of development, Magnetic Resonance (MR) technology for human imaging and spectroscopy is reaching a refined state with FDA approved 3T clinical products from Siemens, GE, and Philips. Broker has cleared CE approval with a 4T system. Varian supports a 4T system platform as well. Shielded magnets are standard at 3T from GE, Oxford, Magnex, and IGC. A shielded 4T whole body magnet is available from Oxford. Stronger switched gradients and dynamic shim coils, desired at any field, areespecially useful at higher static magnetic fields B0. In addition to the higher currents required for higher resolution slice or volume selection afforded by higher SNR, whole body gradient coils will be driven at increasing slew rates to meet the needs of new cardiac applications and other requirements. For example 3T and 4T systems are now being equipped with 2kV, 500A gradient coils and amplifiers capable of generating 4G/cm in 200msec, over a 67+/-cm bore diameter. High field EPI applications require oscillation rates at 1 kHz and higher. To achieve a benchmark 0.2 ppm shim over a 30cm sphere in a high field magnet, at least four stages of shimming need to be considered. 1) A good high field magnet will be built to a homogeneity spec. falling in the range of 100 to 150 ppm over this 30cm spherical "sweet spot" 2) Most modern high field magnets will also have superconducting shim coils capable of finding 1.5 ppm by their adjustment during system installation. 3) Passive ferro-magnetic shimming combined with 4) active, high order room temperature shim coils (as many as five orders are now being recommended) will accomplish 0.2 ppm over the 30cm sphere, and 0.1 ppm over a human brain in even the highest field magnets for human studies. Safety concerns for strong, fast gradients at any B0 field include acoustic noise and peripheral nerve stimulation. One or more of the mechanical decoupling methods may lead to quieter gradients. Patient positioning relative to asymmetric or short gradient coils may limit peripheral nerve stimulation at higher slew rates. Gradient designs combining a short coil for local speed and strength with a longer coil for coverage are being developed for 3T systems. Local gradients give another approach to maximizing performance over a limited region while keeping within the physiologically imposed dB0/dt performance limits.

동시 뇌경두개자기자극-기능자기공명영상 시행을 위한 홀더 제작과 시뮬레이션 및 영상 데이터 평가 (A System for Concurrent TMS-fMRI and Evaluation of Imaging Effects)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 신경망의 인과성을 이해하기 위해 사용되는 방법인 뇌경두개자기자극기 (TMS)를 기능자기공명영상(fMRI) 내에서 동시에 시행하기 위한 적합성을 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 대상 및 방법 : TMS 코일을 지지할 수 있도록 비자성의 특징을 갖는 물질인 Polyetherether Keton (PEEK)을 이용하여 홀더를 제작하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 MR 스캐너 안에서의 TMS 코일의 위치와 방향에 따른 자기장의 분포를 계산하였다. 또한, TMS 자극시 발생할 수 있는 영상 왜곡을 최소화하면서 fMRI영상을 획득하기 위하여 볼륨과 볼륨 획득 사이 간극 동안 TMS 자극을 가하는 기법을 제안하였다. 결과 : 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해서 코일 중심의 자기장은 코일에서 거리가 멀어질수록 급격하게 감소함을 확인하였다. 팬텀실험을 통해 fMRI 자극제시는 볼륨간 시간 간격을 100 ms정도 수준에서도 영상 왜곡을 줄이는데 문제가 없음을 확인하였다. 운동 과제 수행과 TMS로 운동 중추 자극시 각각의 뇌반응 분석 연구를 통해 fMRI 측정 중 TMS가 가능함을 확인하였다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 fMRI 환경 내에서 관심 영역에 TMS를 가함으로써 뇌 기능의 인과적 연결성 연구를 할 수 있는 기본 도구를 확립하게 되었다.
