차로 크기에 따른 LED 광원 사용 가로등기구의 선정 방법 연구 (A Study on Selection Method of LED Using Lightings by Road Size)

  • Road lighting is designed with a goal of achieving the related standards on luminance, uniformity ratio and glare. Unless the luminaire with LID which is perfect for road conditions is used, a situation which fails to meet lighting standards may occur. The study examined the relationship of maximum spacing with average road luminance and longitudinal uniformity. Based on the result of the analysis, this study evaluated luminaire with what characteristics are suitable to achieve lighting requirements of the roads and suggested methods of selection for luminaires depending on the size of the road.

도시공원 야간 이용자 안전을 위한 경관 조명 시뮬레이션 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of Landscape Lighting by Using Simulation Approach for Users' Safety in Urban Park)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a simulation approach which compares lighting quality of each luminaire type for small urban park users' safety. For improving illumination quality, lighting intensity distribution of a luminaire is one of the important factors and it is also important to set the luminaire to a proper position. To achieve the best plan for illumination, it is most important to communicate the plan with designers of park and professional engineers in depth and the communication continues from the beginning of the plan.

  • Recently, the eletrodeless lamp is introduced as a new light source of a high efficacy and long life. Although eletrodeless lamp's size is large, most of them is applied to general luminaire for HID lamps. It causes to decrease eletrodeless lamp's efficacy. Therefore, refractor luminaires can be an option to maintain efficacy, so that reflector luminaires are developed for such lamps. The purpose of this study is to develope a optical numerical model of planar prism luminaire that is able to obtain various luminous intensity distributions.

  • Development of light sources has been constantly grown after incandescent lamps had been invented by Thomas Edison. Recently, the eletrodeless lamp is introduced as a new light source of a high efficacy and long life. But, despite of such advantages, luminaires of electrodeless lamps are not widely used. It is necessary to develope the design of the luminaire together with light source development. In this paper, design algorithm of the luminaire that is adaptable to electrodeless lamp and use Genetic Algorithm as a optimization method to find luminous intensity distribution required is introduced.

Feasibility Analysis for Introducing ESCO Program of LED Luminaire Replacements in Schools

  • Public institutions should replace their luminaires with LED lighting by 2020 to save energy. Because the LED lighting installation rate in schools has not yet reached the legal goal, the ESCO program feasibility was investigated. The amount of electricity used, electric rates, times of use in classrooms and fluorescent lighting maintenance costs etc., as well as the elements of lighting maintenance were analyzed. In the case of schools, the lamp usage time was so short that the ESCO projects with only energy savings were impossible. In order to execute the ESCO projects, the maintenance cost savings by replacing an existing luminaire should be considered and the introduction of the relatively cheaper tube type LED lamp than the flat type LED luminaire was required.

  • Solar daylighting system provides free and comfort lighting, but its design and control has been key issue due to heavy light collecting system. One of the solutions for the heavy weight issues would be using a light framed film such as fresnel and prism lens. This prototype system consists of light collector, light transformer and light guide luminaire. The light collector which is installed at window or the rooftop concentrates solar light, the collected beam is converted to suitable light by the light transformer. and the prism light guide luminaire has been used to distribute light emitted from light transformer for illumination. In this paper, the design concept and performance of light collector in this prototype system are presented.

터널용 고효율 조명기구 반사판의 개발 (The Development of a High Efficiency Luminaires Reflector for Tunnel Lighting)

  • 우리 나라의 터널 조명은 운전자의 시야상태를 저해하는 불균일한 조도 균제도, 터널 내의 플리커 현상, 심한 눈부심 등과 함께 낮은 기구효율, 낮은 조명률, 높은 에너지 소비 등의 문제점을 갖고 있다. 이러한 것들을 개선 하기 위해서 터널용 고효율 조명기구의 반사판을 개발하였고, 개발된 조명기구는 기구 자체 효율이 10%이상 상승함으로써 에너지의 절감과 조명효과의 상승을 가져왔으며, 기구 대수의 저감으로 시설비를 절감할 수 있다. 또한 이것을 이용한 터널조명에서는 평균조도 200[lx]이상, 전반 균제도 0.4이상, 차선축 균제도 0.7이상, 단위 면적당 소비전력 3.7 [W/m$^2$]이하의 효과를 얻었다.

LED 등기구의 발열량 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on Heat Radiation of LED Luminaires)

  • Heat radiation of LED luminaires has risen a problem when applied indoor. LEDs can save energy with higher efficacy than other light sources. However, their heat radiation may increase power consumption for air-conditioning. Therefore, this paper carried out a comparative analysis on the amount of heat radiation for MR16, E26 bulb, and down-light which will be replaced to LED luminaires. Heat amount of LED-MR16 and LED-downlight was 48% and 87.5% lower than that of conventional lamps, halogen MR16 and E26 CFL, respectively. Consequently, the heat amount and indoor temperature were proportional to the power consumption of luminaire. Therefore, the use of LED luminaire can reduce the amount of heat radiation as well as power consumption.

둥근형 무전극 램프의 페라이트 코어와 냉점의 온도 의존성 (Dependence of Round Type Electrodeless Lamp according to Ferrite Core and Cold Spot Temperature)

  • Generally Lighting system consists of lamp and luminaire. When a fluorescent lamp is installed in luminaire, power and light output is changed by ambient temperature. Particularly electrodeless lamp depends on the changes that are mercury pressure with amalgam temperature and magnetic properties with ferrite temperature. It has finally influence on optical efficiency. In this study, the temperature change of ferrite and cold spot, vessel are measured at transitional state and then same characteristics are measured with increase of ambient temperature. At transitional state, luminous flux is related to temperature change of cold spot that compare with behavior of mercury pressure and light output. At increase of ambient temperature, we analyzed change that efficiency and electrical, optical characteristics of elecrodeless lamp are related to ferrite core and cold spot temperature.

철도차량 조명 환경 연구 (A Study on Railroad Vehicle Lighting Environment)

  • This paper investigates the lighting environment of railway system which are mainly used in KTX, Saemaul and Mugunghwa. When lighting used in KTX such as fluorescent lamp and incandescence is being replaced with LED lamp, illumination load of each railroad vehicle has been compared. The comparison result shows that the reduction of power consumption is 43.34% before and after the change. Also it has been performed the economic evaluation.
