Logical Activity Recognition Model for Smart Home Environment

  • Recently, studies that interact with human and things through motion recognition are increasing due to the expansion of IoT(Internet of Things). This paper proposed the system that recognizes the user's logical activity in home environment by attaching some sensors to various objects. We employ Arduino sensors and appreciate the logical activity by using the physical activitymodel that we processed in the previous researches. In this System, we can cognize the activities such as watching TV, listening music, talking, eating, cooking, sleeping and using computer. After we produce experimental data through setting virtual scenario, then the average result of recognition rate was 95% but depending on experiment sensor situation and physical activity errors the consequence could be changed. To provide the recognized results to user, we visualized diverse graphs.

  • The logical and mathematical thinking of 1- to 3-year-olds was studied by age groups at 6 month intervals; logical-mathematical thinking was examined by the two physical knowledge activities of cylinder rolling and making a slope. Results showed that in their early 1st year infants failed in both tasks. Infants in their late 2nd year showed understanding of 'rolling things' and 'non-rolling things' by comparing cylinders and cubes in the cylinder rolling activity and they showed 'spatial inference' by adjusting the position and direction of the cylinder so that the cylinder could roll properly and by adjusting the board on a block in the slope making activity. Three-year-old children rolled a cylinder and made a slope without difficulty.

초등학교 저학년 아동을 위한 기초적 수학 능력의 신장 방안 (The measures for nursing the foundational math skills of the lower grade elementary school children)

  • After entering an elementary school, in fact, a number of children regard mathematics as one of very difficult subjects because of its abstractiveness. This is caused by the fact that their basic thinking power is not yet formed or they can not understand the special quality of mathematics. So this article emphasizes the need to build up the higher logical thought and a basic mathematical concept at the lower grade elementary school stage in which the loaming activity on mathematics begins in earnest, that is, at the stage before having an experience on the calculating activity using numbers. But at present the lower grade elementary school students in our country do not understand the special quality of mathematics composed of a various symbolic system and lay stress upon mathematics learning attached to the calculative activity. In order to make the right mathematical concept of the lower grade elementary school, the basic knowledge and ability as follows is sure to be formed. 1) the foundational logical manipulation activity and knowledge 2) the using ability of the sign and symbolic system At the stage on which mathematics learning activity begins, it is a very important task to make the right concept of the abstractive math and nurse the capability for finding mathematical relations covered under the sign system through the continuos loaming activity on . Through the basic logical manipulation activity and the game activity of sign for lower grade elementary school students mentioned in this article, they can not only foster the higher level logical thinking power and the foundational calculative ability but also bring up the interest on the activity of establishing a new problem solving strategy.

논리·비판적 사고 신장을 위한 로봇 프로그래밍의 수학교육 적용 방안 (A study on the application of robotic programming to promote logical and critical thinking in mathematics education)

  • Logic lays the foundation of Mathematics and the development of Mathematics is dependent on critical thinking. So it is important that school mathematics helps students develop their logical and critical thinking ability for both mathematics learning and problem solving in general. MINDSTORMS, a LEGO based programming activity kit, is an effective teaching and learning tool that can be used to enhance logical and critical thinking in students. This study focused on measuring the growth of students' ability to think logically and critically when they used MINDSTORMS activities to learn programming. In addition, we investigated how the students' logical and critical thinking changed from the MINDSTORMS learning experience. The study confirmed that the programming activities using MINDSTORMS help to enhance logical and critical thinking in students. The students attitude about logical and critical thinking became more positive and the activities helped to engage students to think logically and critically. This type of programming activities should be valuable in mathematics education and it should be included in a general mathematics curriculum.

  • 오늘날 스마트폰의 발전으로 스마트폰 내장 센서를 통해 사용자의 개인 정보를 쉽게 파악 할 수 있고 원한다면 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 알아낼 수 있다. 그리하여 센서를 통해 추출된 데이터를 통해 동작인식과 생활 패턴 인식에 관한 연구가 급증하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 동작 인식 연구에서 추출되는 데이터를 정형화하기 위해 동작 데이터를 모델링하였다. 본 논문의 일상 동작 모델링은 이론적 분석이다. 동작을 크게 두 가지로 분류시켜 가속도 센서만으로 인식 가능한 기본 동작을 물리적 동작으로 정의하고 그 외 목적과 대상, 장소를 포함하는 모든 동작을 논리적 동작으로 분류시켰다. 모델링 된 데이터를 기반으로 각 동작의 특성에 맞게 가시화 하는 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구를 통해 인간의 일상생활을 동작별로 간편하게 표준화 할 수 있고 기존의 동작 인식 연구에서 추출되는 동작 데이터를 사용자의 요구에 따라 가시화 할 수 있다.

2007년 개정 초등 5, 6학년 과학 교과서 물질 영역에 제시된 탐구 활동 분석 (Analysis of Inquiry Activities in Matter Units from the Elementary 5th and 6th Grade Science Textbooks based on the 2007 Revised National Curriculum)

  • This study analyzed the inquiry activities in the 'matter' units from each science textbook for the fifth and the sixth graders developed by the 2007 revised national curriculum, using Practical Activity Analysis Inventory proposed by Millar(2009) to examine types of learning objectives, hands-on contents(what students have to do with objects and materials), minds-on contents(what students have to 'do' with ideas), and logical structure each activity had. The results of this study are as follows: First, most learning objectives of the inquiry activities seems to be suitable for the standards of 2007 revised national curriculum. Second, the standards of 2007 revised national curriculum are properly reflected in hands-on contents of inquiry activities. Third, minds-on contents of inquiry activities are well developed to meet the standards of 2007 revised national curriculum as a whole. Fourth, the logical structures of inquiry activities are mostly adequate for achieving the goals of the 2007 revised national curriculum. In the textbook for the fifth graders, however, all the activities are focusing too much on using students' current ideas to generate a prediction and collecting data to explore or test it. Based on these findings, this research has concluded that learning objectives, minds-on contents and logical structures of inquiry activities need to be designed carefully for students to be exposed to various activities when developing following textbooks.

An Improved Movable 3 photomultiplier (3PM)-γ Coincidence Counter Using Logical Sum of Double Coincidences in β-Channel for Activity Standardization

  • Background: To improve the measurement accuracy of liquid-scintillation counting for activity standardization, it is necessary to significantly reduce the background caused by thermal noise or after-pulses. We have therefore improved a movable 3 photomultiplier (3PM)-γ coincidence-counting method using the logical sum of three double coincidences for β events. Materials and Methods: We designed a new data-acquisition system in which β events are obtained by counting the logical sum of three double coincidences. The change in β-detection efficiency can be derived by moving three photomultiplier tubes sequentially from the liquid-scintillation vial. The validity of the method was investigated by activity measurement of 134Cs calibrated at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) with 4π(PC)β-γ(NaI(Tl)) coincidence counting using a proportional counter (PC) for the β detector. Results and Discussion: Measurements were taken over 14 counting intervals for each liquidscintillation sample by displacing three photomultiplier tubes up to 45 mm from the sample. The dead time in each β- and γ-counting channel was adjusted to be a non-extending type of 20 ㎲. The background ranged about 1.2-3.3 s-1, such that the contributions of thermal noise or after-pulses were negligible. As the β-detection unit was moved away from the sample, the β-detection efficiencies varied between 0.54 and 0.81. The result obtained by the method at the reference date was 396.3 ± 1.7 kBq/g. This is consistent with the KRISS-certified value of 396.0 ± 2.0 kBq/g within the uncertainty range. Conclusion: The movable 3PM-γ method developed in the present work not only succeeded in reducing background counts to negligible levels but enabled β-detection efficiency to be varied by a geometrical method to apply the efficiency extrapolation method. Compared with our earlier work shown in the study of Hwang et al. [2], the measurement accuracy has much improved. Consequently, the method developed in this study is an improved method suitable for activity standardization of β-γ emitters.

  • 본 연구는 사회적기업의 경쟁력을 강화하는 방안으로 R&D활동 체계화와 지원정책의 논리모형을 제공하는 것이 목적이다. 사회적기업의 R&D수요조사 및 심층면접(FGI)을 토대로 R&D활동을 체계화하여 R&D정책의 논리모형을 도출하고자 한다. 사회적기업의 R&D활동은 일반기업과 비교해 초기단계이거나 체계성이 매우 미흡하다. 프로세스모델링 방법은 사회적기업의 R&D활동 세부요소를 표준화하는 방법으로 R&D지원정책의 논리성 확보에 활용될 수 있다. 연구결과 사회적기업들은 사회가치 증진을 위한 제품과 서비스의 경쟁력확보를 위해 R&D활동의 필요성과 중요성을 인식하고 있으며, R&D경험 및 역량이 부족하기 때문에 R&D전문기관(R&D기획전문기관, 정부출연 연구기관, 대학 등)과 협력을 통한 R&D역량 개선을 기대하고 있다. 사회적기업 R&D활동의 성과지표는 심층면접(FGI)을 통하여 투입-과정-성과지표 단위로 도출하였고, R&D지원정책의 논리모형은 심층면접자료와 기존연구를 참고하여 사업정의, 주요고객, 비전체계, 사업전략, R&D활동요소, 성공요인 등의 영역으로 구분하여 도출하였다.

  • This paper reviews recent international standards related to human-related vibration and compares them to KS standards. This comparison and analysis reveals that the current direction and activity in ISO is in progress and presents logical ways of updating Korean standards in the future. Finally, the current activity of upgrading Korean standards in the Korean TC 108/SC 4 is introduced.

IT 거버넌스 정의에서 제기되는 두 개의 개념적 난제에 대한 고찰 (On the Two Conceptually Thorny Issues in IT Governance Definition)

  • 본 연구는 IT 거버넌스 개념을 설정하는데 있어서 제기되는 두 개의 개념적 난제를 다루었다. 먼저 엔터프라이즈 IT 활동의 내용을 살펴서 이를 토대로 거버넌스와 비 거버넌스를 나누고자 하는 전통적 IT 거버넌스 개념 설정이 가진 자의성과 비논리성 문제를 지적하고, 이를 해결하는 방안으로서 목적기반 거버넌스 개념을 제시하였다. 다음으로 이러한 목적 기반 거버넌스 개념이 기존 엔터프라이즈 IT 활동과 가지는 개념적 충돌 문제를 지적하고, 이를 해결하기 위하여 IT 거버넌스 개념을 엔터프라이즈 IT 활동에 내재된 효과성 투명성 책임성 요소를 명시적으로 드러내고 이를 공식화, 외부화 하는 노력으로 새롭게 정의할 것을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 상기 논의를 전개하는데 있어서 IT 활동축이라는 개념적 장치를 도입하여 이를 일관되게 적용함으로써 IT 거버넌스 개념이 개념적 통일성과 논리적 일관성을 가지고 전개될 수 있음을 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 연구가 제시한 IT 거버넌스 개념이 가진 시사점과 향후 과제를 논의하였다.
