This study aims to propose the location selection method of car-sharing services in Daejeon Metropolitan city. In order to select locations for car-sharing, Daejoen area was divided in $500m{\times}500m$ cell size using GIS Arc/Info 10, and input factors which may affect car-sharing service were determined, and then each input factor was standardized for analysis. The weight for each input factor was determined through experts' survey and index of goodness of fit was estimated in each cell ($500m{\times}500m$ size) using AHP method. Also, This study proposed the method to select 30 service facility location using Location-allocation Model in Network Analysis module. The proposed method for the location selection of car-sharing service in this study can be used for preliminary data for initial car-sharing introduction. Henceforward, appropriate demand forecasting and economic evaluation for the location selection of car-sharing service are needed for the further study.

This paper introduces an approach for providing Location Based Services (LBS) using Spatial Location (SLO) information within the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). The aim of the paper is to set up the framework for providing LBS services in devices connected to wire and wireless IP networks. This method uses SIP as transport and the SLO as data formal inserted in the SIP pay-load. It analyses the relationship among the network elements involved in the architecture, and its functionality fur providing access to network services regardless of the user location. In conclusion, this proposal enables SIP to support location-related services such as messaging, location-based commerce, and any location-based computing. Furthermore, it describes the advantage of adding the user location information network resources optimization in mobile environments and future networks.

With the advent of a new services environment based on high-speed mobile networks and high-performance mobile devices, users in real life require content-centric services that provide personalized information conveniently and efficiently. These services are defined as ambient services. To implement and support sustainable ambient services, there is a critical need to conduct research regarding practicable models and methodologies. This paper proposes an effective model for ambient services based on the personalization of real-life space. The model consists of Public Info-space, Universal Info-space and Private Info-space. We also show a methodology for implementing the model with currently available techniques in order to prove that the model and methodology constitute an applicable solution to developing true ambient services. Finally, a kind of role-playing game which is built on a real university campus is presented to show the model to be available, where the test bed infrastructure consists of wireless mesh networks and real-time location systems (RTLSes).
In this paper, we propose a robust moving object tracking(MOT) method based on motion energy and prediction. MOT consists of two steps: moving object extraction step(MOES) and moving object tracking step(MOTS). For MOES, we use improved motion energy method. For MOTS, we predict the next location of moving object based on distance and direction information among previous instances, so that we can reduce the search space for correspondence. We apply the method to both synthetic and real world sequences and find that the method works well even in the presence of occlusion and disocclusion.

In this paper, several capacitive sensors for measuring the position of the piston in hydraulic cylinder was studied and designed. The inductive LVDT sensor has been widely used to measure the position of the piston because of its high accuracy, but this type of sensor is very expensive and has difficulty in use because of its complexity. To overcome these disadvantages, we studied the optimized non-contact capacitive sensors and designed several capacitive sensors for accurate measuring the location of piston in hydraulic cylinder. The proposed capacitive sensor has the possibility of practical use for hydraulic cylinder through experiments.

In this paper, we designed the novel capacitive sensor and system for measuring the position of the piston in hydraulic cylinder. The magnetic or LVDT sensors have been widely used to measure the position of the piston because of its high accuracy, but these types of sensor are very expensive and have difficulty in use because of its complexity. To overcome these disadvantages, we studied the optimized non-contact capacitive sensor and designed detecting system for accurate measuring the location of piston in hydraulic cylinder. The proposed capacitive sensor and detecting system have the possibility of practical use for hydraulic cylinder through experiments.
The purpose of this study is to design a system that can be used for military simulation and virtual training using the location information of individual soldier's weapons. After acquiring the location information using Arduino's GPS shield, it is designed to transmit data to the Smartphone using Bluetooth Shield, and transmit the data to the server using 3G/4G of Smartphone in real time. The server builds the system to measure, analyze and manage the current position and the tracking information of soldier. Using this proposed system makes it easier to analyze the training situation for individual soldiers and expect better training results.
The popularity of smart devices and Location Based Services (LBSes) is increasing in part due to users demand for personalized information associated with their location. These services provide intuitive and realistic information by adopting Augmented Reality (AR) technology. This technology utilizes various sensors embedded in the mobile devices. However, these services have inherent problems due to the devices small screen size and the complexity of the real world environment; overlapping content on a small screen and placing icons without considering the user's possible movement. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a Mobile Augmented Reality Model with the application of Street Data. The model consists of two layers: "Real Space" and "Information Space". In the model, a user creates a query by scanning the nearby street with a camera in real space and searches accessible content along the street through the use of the information space. Furthermore, the results are placed on both sides of the street to solve the issue of Overlapping. Also, the proposed model is implemented for region "Aenigol", and the efficiency and usefulness of the model are verified.
With the increasing use of high-performance mobile devices such as smartphones, users have been able to connect to the Internet anywhere, anytime, so that Location Based Services(LBSes) have been popular among the users in order to obtain personalized information associated with their locations. The services have advanced to provide the information realistically and intuitively by adopting Augmented Reality(AR) technology, where the technology utilizes various sensors embedded in the mobile devices. However, the services have inherent problems due to the small screen size of the mobile devices and the complexity of the real world environment. Overlapping contents on a small screen and user's possible movement should be taken into consideration in displaying the icons on objects that block user's environment such as trees and buildings. The problems mainly happen when the services use only user's location and sensor data to calculate the position of the displayed information. In order to solve the problems, this paper proposes a method that applies street data extracted from a digital map. The method uses the street data as well as the location and direction data to determine contents that are placed on both sides of a virtual street which augments the real street. With scrolling the virtual street, which means a virtual movement, some information far away from the location of the user can be identified without user's actual movement. Also the proposed method is implemented for region "Aenigol", and the efficiency and usefulness of the method is verified.
