We introduce a special class of real recurrent polynomials $f_m$$($m{\geq}1$) of degree m+1, with positive roots $s_m$, which are decreasing as m increases. The first root $s_1$, as well as the last one denoted by $s_{\infty}$ are expressed in closed form, and enclose all $s_m$ (m > 1). This technique is also used to find weaker than before [6] sufficient convergence conditions for some popular iterative processes converging to solutions of equations.

This paper deals with temporal markers -ess and -(nu)n in Korean, and provides formal interpretations of these markers within the framework of interval semantics. I propose that the truth-conditional interpretation of -ess and -(nu)n sentences is obtained by locating the involved eventuality within a 'completive interval' and 'imcompletive interval', respectively. Since characterization of these two invervals makes reference to the evaluation time, the basic distinction between the two lies on tense. Furthermore, I will argue that perfective/imperfective aspect meaning that usually arises in -ess/-nun sentences should be explained in terms of a conversational implicature.

This paper presents an estimation method of the number of partial discharge(PD) sources and their locations in power transformer. To identify multiple PD sources and their locations, the directions-of-arrival estimation algorithm is employed. The results of simulations shows that the proposed method could be accurately detect the number of PD sources and their locations in power transformer.

The k-fold pseudo-Newton's method is proposed and its convergence behavior is investigated near a simple zero. The order of convergence is proven to be at least k + 2. The asymptotic error constant is explicitly given in terms of k and the corresponding simple zero. High-precison numerical results are successfully implemented via Mathematica and illustrated for various examples.

이동 에이전트는 사용자를 대신하여 사용자가 요구한 작업을 처리하기 위하여 에이전트 서버 사이를 이주하는 자율적인 소프트웨서 프로세스이다. 이동 에이전트 시스템에서 이동 에이전트는 자율적으로 이동하기 때문에 이동 에이전트의 정확한 위치를 관리하는 것은 매우 어려운 일이다. 따라서 이동 에이전트 서버 사이의 통신을 위하여 이동 에이전트의 위치를 추적하는 효율적인 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 에이전트 시스템에서 이진 탐색 방법을 이용하여 지역 단위로 이동 에이전트의 위치를 추적하는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 해석적 모델을 이용하여 제안된 방법의 성능 및 타당성을 보인다.

This paper deals with the development of setup planning for Automated FIXture planning system(AFIX) which selects setups, setup sequence and operation sequence in each setup according to the machining mode. In AFIX, part type considered is prismatic workpiece that use the 3-2-1 locating system as the general structure of the fixture. The heuristic algorithms selecting setup and setup sequence are based on DDR(Degree of Dimensional Relationship), AMV(Admissible Misalignment Value) and machining sterategy and feature attributes. A case example is given to illustrate the performance fo AFIX.

This study aimed at reconstruction the forgotten rules of Silla's. Bulguksa and Sokgulam in their conditions of location and spatial orders. So tried to find out what Korean Traditional principles in spatial art were and how they actually worked. The locations of these two temples related to their immediate environments, the geometric cityscape of the old city Kyungju. This geometric figure formed the basic of city master plan in the 8the century. And it highly effected on not these two temples but also many other significant places in locating decision making.

최근 실내에서 사용할 수 있는 무선랜 신호의 증가와 스마트폰 사용자의 폭발적 증가로 무선랜 신호를 이용한 스마트폰의 실내 위치인식에 대한 요구가 커지고 있다. 본 고에서는 전 세계 실내 공간을 대상으로 위치정보를 제공하는 글로벌 실내 위치인식 및 실내,외 통합 내비게이션 서비스 실현에 요구되는 제반 환경과 요소 기술을 위치기술 스택이라는 틀을 통해서 소개한다. 아울러 사용자 참여 방식으로 글로벌 실내 위치인식 시스템을 구현하기 위한 KAIST Indoor Locating System(KAILOS)의 주요 구성 요소와 핵심 요소 기술, 그리고 KAILOS상에서 구현된 KAIST 캠퍼스 실내,외 통합 내비게이션 시스템에 대해서도 소개한다.

이전 논문은 자바 프로그램 내에 포함된 논리적인 오류를 발견하기 위해 HDTS 기술을 제안하였다. HDTS 는 알고리즈믹 프로그램 디버깅 기술, 단계적 프로그램 디버깅 기술, 그리고 프로그램 분할을 혼합하여 효율적으로 논리적인 오류가 포함된 프로그램을 디버깅하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 HDTS 기술을 구현하기 위한 HDTS 시스템을 설계한다.

A relatively simple method of locating the saddle point is presented. In this method a single determination of the saddle point location by constrained energy minimizations for points selected on the assumed saddle surface provides us with the structure, location and energy of the TS, the reaction path at the saddle point and characterization as the TS. Some examples were given.
