강상자형교의 설계온도하중을 위한 최고 유효온도 산정 (Evaluation of Maximum Effective Temperature for Estimate Design Thermal Loads in Steel Box Girder Bridges)

  • 합리적인 설계 온도하중을 산정하기 위하여, 강상자형교의 시험체가 실물 규모로 제작되었다. 박스단면의 크기는 폭 2.0m, 높이 2.0m, 길이 3.0m이며, 슬래브의 두께는 17 cm이다. 온도 게이지를 사용하여 1년간 온도를 측정하였다. 또한 인근에 시험체와 유사한 방향으로 설치된 같은 형식의 실교량에서도 같은 기간에 온도를 측정하였다. 교량시험체는 21지점, 실교량에서는 19지점에서 온도를 측정하고 각 측점에서 측정온도를 통계 처리하여 추세선과 표준 오차를 산정하고, Euro code에서 제시한 대기온도 $24^{\circ}C{\sim}38^{\circ}C$에서 각 지점의 유효온도를 산정하였다. 교량시험체 모형에서는 $35^{\circ}C$이상에서 Euro code와 실교량과 비교하여 유효온도가 $2^{\circ}C{\sim}3^{\circ}C$ 정도 높게 산정되었다. 제시된 시험체와 실교량에서 Euro code에 대한 유효온도의 상관계수는 87.4%, 93.2%로 계산되었다. 국내 도로교설계기준에 따르면 합성교에서 최고기온은 $40^{\circ}C$로 규정하고 있는데 이는 본 연구에서 산정된 실교량과 Euro code의 유효온도와 거의 근접하는 것으로 평가된다. 각 지역별 최고 온도에 대한 Contour map에서 산정한 대기온도별 최고온도와 본 연구에서 제시한 유효온도를 접목하면 국내 교량 설계 시 각 지역의 특성을 고려한 설계기준이 확립될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 성토지지말뚝공법에서 연약지반 강성, 성토체의 내부마찰각, 토목섬유의 인장강성, 성토고의 변화가 한계높이로 표현되는 하중 전이 흙 아치의 형태에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 수치해석적으로 분석하였다. 매개변수 해석결과에서 연약지반 강성이 한계높이에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 주 영향요소인 연약지반 강성과 다른 매개변수의 조합에 대해 한계높이가 어떻게 변화하는지 등고선도 형태의 도표를 제시하고 분석하였다. 해석 결과는 연약지반 강성과 성토고의 조합에 대해 한계높이가 매우 민감하게 변함을 보였다. 연약지반 강성이 충분히 낮은 조건에서 성토체의 내부마찰각에 대해 한계높이가 민감하게 변하였다. 토목섬유가 포설된 조건에서는 토목섬유 인장강성의 변화가 한계높이 변화에 큰 영향을 주지 않았다.

등변분포 평면응력을 받는 SS-C-SS-C 직사각형 판의 진동과 좌굴의 엄밀해 (Exact Solutions for Vibration and Buckling of An SS-C-SS-C Rectangular Plate Loaded by Linearly Varying In-plane Stresse)

  • Exact solutions are presented for the free vibration and buckling of rectangular plates haying two opposite edges ( x=0 and a) simply supported and the other two ( y=0 and b) clamped, with the simply supported edges subjected to a linearly varying normal stress $\sigma$$_{x}$=- $N_{0}$[1-a(y/b)]/h, where h is the plate thickness. By assuming the transverse displacement ( w) to vary as sin(m$\pi$x/a), the governing partial differential equation of motion is reduced to an ordinary differential equation in y with variable coefficients. for which an exact solution is obtained as a power series (the method of Frobenius). Applying the clamped boundary conditions at y=0 and byields the frequency determinant. Buckling loads arise as the frequencies approach zero. A careful study of the convergence of the power series is made. Buckling loads are determined for loading parameters a= 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5. 2, for which a=2 is a pure in-plane bending moment. Comparisons are made with published buckling loads for a= 0, 1, 2 obtained by the method of integration of the differential equation (a=0) or the method of energy (a=1, 2). Novel results are presented for the free vibration frequencies of rectangular plates with aspect ratios a/b =0.5, 1, 2 when a=2, with load intensities $N_{0}$ / $N_{cr}$ =0, 0.5, 0.8, 0.95, 1. where $N_{cr}$ is the critical buckling load of the plate. 박판재의 스프링백 해석(I)-잔류 변형율에 근거한 해석모델 (Analysis of Springback of Sheet Metal(I): Analytical Model Based on the Residual Differential Strain)

  • As the springback of sheet metal during unloading may cause deviation from a desired shape, accurate prediction of springback is essential for the design of sheet stamping operations. When considering the case of a sheet metal being bent to radius $\rho$ that is such that the maximum stress induced exceed the elastic limit of the material, plastic strain in the outer surface will occur and the material will take a permanent set: but since, on removing the bending moment, the recovery of the material is not uniform across the thickness, springback will occur and the radius $\rho$ will not be maintained. Furthermore, when a tensile load being applied to each end of specimen, the tensile stress due to bending is increased and the compressive stress is decreased or cancelled and eventually the whole specimen may be in varying degree of tension. On the removal of the applied load the specimen loses its elastic strain by contracting around the contour of the block, the radius $\rho$ will be determined by the residual differential strain. Therefore in this study the springback is analytically estimated by the residual differential strains between upper and lower surfaces of greatest radius after elastic recovery, and a springback model based on the bending moment is also analytically derived for comparison purpose.

재난변동풍하중을 받는 고층건물의 평균자승응해석 (Mean Square Response Analysis of the Tall Building to Hazard Fluctuating Wind Loads)

  • 시간과 공간에 따라 변화하는 난류성분의 변동풍하중을 받는 고층건물의 경량화 및 연성화 현상은 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 적게함으로서 동적으로 매우 불리한 진동문제을 발생하게 되어, 변동풍하중을 받는 도심의 고층건물에 대한 동적해석의 중요성이 인식되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 돌풍과 같이 짧은 시간동안에 통계적 성질이 변화하는 변동풍하중을 나타내기 위하여 정상불규칙 풍하중에 시간에 따라 변화하는 결정적함수(A(t) = 1-exp($-{\beta}t$))를 곱하여 나타냈고, 이러한 변동풍하중을 받는 고층건물에 대한 평균류방향의 동적변위응답해석은 진동이론으로부터 Time-dependent Response Spectral Density함수를 나타냈고, 진동함수를 포함하여 나타내는 Time-dependent Response Spectral Density의 진동수영역에 대한 적분의 해로부터 동적응답을 해석적으로 구하기 위하여 Contour적분에서 Cauchy의 적분정리와 잔유치 정리(residue theorem)에 의한 잔유치 적분으로부터 해석함수를 구했다. 해석 예에서 본 논문에서 구한 해석함수와 기존의 수치해석방법에 따른 결과를 비교 검토했고, 고층건물의 동적 특성에 따른 해석결과도 비교 검토했다.

Collapse of steel cantilever roof of tribune induced by snow loads

  • In this paper, it is aimed to present a detail investigation related to structural behavior of laterally unrestrained steel cantilever roof of tribune with slender cross section. The structure is located in Tutak town in $A{\breve{g}}r{{\i}}$ and collapsed on October 25, 2015 at eastern part of Turkey is considered as a case study. This mild sloped roof structure was built from a variable I beam, and supported on steel columns of 5.5 m height covering totally $240m^2$ closed area in plan. The roof of tribune collapsed completely without any indication during first snowfall after construction at midnight a winter day, fortunately before the opening hours. The meteorological records and observations of local persons are combined together to estimate the intensity of snow load in the region and it is compared with the code specified values. Also, the wide/thickness and height/thickness ratios for flange and web are evaluated according to the design codes. Three dimensional finite element model of the existing steel tribune roof is generated considering project drawings and site investigations using commercially available software ANSYS. The displacements, principal stresses and strains along to the cantilever length and column height are given as contour diagrams and graph format. In addition to site investigation, the numerical and analytical works conducted in this study indicate that the unequivocal reasons of the collapse are overloading action of snow load intensity, some mistakes made in the design of steel cantilever beams, insufficient strength and rigidity of the main structural elements, and construction workmanship errors.

A Numerical Study of Flow Structure in Over-Expanded Rocket Nozzles

  • LE-7A is the main engine of the H-IIA launch vehicle. Under its development, the nozzle suffered from two troubles during startup and shutdown transients of the engine. One is a large side load, which damages the actuator of the nozzle, and the other is damage on regenerative cooling tubes due to high heat load. It has been considered that these problems are caused by a peculiar separation pattern called Restricted Shock Separation (RSS). RSS is observed in several rocket nozzles, for example, LE-7A nozzle, Vulcain nozzle and so on. Their contours are not conventional truncated perfect (TP) nozzle - LE-7A nozzle is a compressed truncated perfect (CTP) nozzle and Vulcain nozzle is a thrust optimized (TO) nozzle. Although it is believed that the occurrence of RSS is affected by the nozzle contour, the mechanisms are not clarified sufficiently yet. In the present paper, a parametric numerical study is carried out to investigate the mechanisms of the occurrence of RSS in CTP nozzles during startup transient. The results show that RSS is caused by the adverse pressure gradient downstream of the Mach disk. The adverse pressure gradient is caused by the interaction of the pressure wave and Mach disk. The method to avoid the occurrence of RSS is also examined. A small step inside the nozzle affects the position of the separation point and prevents RSS. The result shows that the possibility that RSS can be suppressed by controlling the position of the separation point.

Evaluation of stress distribution with wind speed in a greenhouse structure

  • In this paper, stress distribution for a structurally stable greenhouse is considered in the present paper with subsequent investigation into the detailed stress distribution contour with the variation of self-weight and wind pressure level designation method under wind velocity of less than 30 m/sec. For reliable analysis, wind pressure coefficients of a single greenhouse unit were modeled and compared with experiment with correlation coefficient greater than 0.99. Wind load level was designated twofold: direct mapping of fluid dynamic analysis and conversion of modeled results into wind pressure coefficients ($C_P$). Finally, design criteria of EN1991-1-4 and NEN3859 were applied in terms of their wind pressure coefficients for comparison. $C_P$ of CFD result was low in the most of the modeled area but was high only in the first roof wind facing and the last lee facing areas. Besides, structural analysis results were similar in terms of stress distribution as per EN and direct mapping while NEN revealed higher level of stress for the last roof area. The maximum stress levels are arranged in decreasing order of mapping, EN, and NEN, generating 8% error observed between the EN and mapping results under 30 m/sec of wind velocity. On the other hand, effect of dead weight on the stress distribution was investigated via variation of high stress position with wind velocity, confirming shift of such position from the center to the forward head wind direction. The sensitivity of stress for wind velocity was less than 0.8% and negligible at wind velocity greater than 20 m/sec, thus eliminating self-weight effect.

우물정(井)자형 Sub-frame의 블랭크 설계 (Optimum Blank Design of Automobile Sub-Frame)

  • A new blank design method is proposed to predict the optimum initial blank shape in the sheet metal forming process. The rollback method for blank shape design takes the difference between final deformed shaped and target contour shape into account. Based on the method a computer program composed of blank design module FE-analysis program and mesh generation module is developed. The rollback method is applied to square cup drawing process with the flange of unifiorm size around its periphery to confirm its validity. The optimum initial blank shape is obtained from an arbitrary square blank after three modification. Good agreements are recognized between the numerical results and the published results for initial blank shape and thickness strain distribution. The optimum blank shape for two parts of automobile sub-frame is designed, The thickness distribution and the level of punch load is improved. Also the method is applied to design the weld line in the tailor-welded blank. It is concluded that the rollback method is an effective and convenient method for an optimum blank shape design.

On the removal of the applied load the specimen loses its elastic strain by contracting around the contour of the block, the radius $\rho$ can be determined by the residual differential strain. Therefore in this study the springback estimated by the residual differential strain is experimentally validated through the comparison with those obtained by U-bending test. The springback characteristics of two analytical models are also estimated at various processing conditions such as thickness, curvature of radius and drawing strain. The model based on residual differential strain has an applied transition strain where the springback undergoes a dramatic decrease. Both models show that springback decreases with increased strip thickness and with decreased radius of curvature. For no applied tension, the model based on residual differential strain predicts more springback as compared to the moment based model.
