Bioindustry is rapidly changing. Many biologists redefine biotechnlolgy as 'reprogramming the genetic codes of living things to suit cultural and economic needs and desires.'We regarded this change as the 'paradigm shift'in bioindustry. The genome research is reorganizing agricultural and environmental industries as well as a pharmaceutical industry. By analysing patent data granted in the United States from 1997 to 1999, we tried to explore the international patterns and trends of technological innovation in bioindustry, especially in the genome research. As the result, we could find that the United States'monopolistic position in the bioindustry was consolidated by the genome research. Competitive positions in the countries such as Japan and Germany, however, have been aggravated continuously. Korean inventors weren't also active in many biotechnological areas as comparing to developed countries such as US and UK. Especially, the gaps between Korea and developed countries in genome research were greater than any other areas.

The purpose of this paper is to seek the dwelling conditions for comfortable life like urban apartment with agriculture in farming area. In order to do above things, we divide types of people who is planning to 'return farm' and need to heavily research and analyze current status of use for farm house's each spaces include outside spaces. so this paper aimed that at first, divide types of farmhouse following agriculture condition for people who is living in rural and survey the present condition and problems by analyzing of present status of space use and draw the improvement plans for those. after then, finally make a architectural basic data for Rural houses plan. For the future, the main purpose of this paper is that make architectural provision possible by researching types and size of storage following sort and size of farm.

Economic crisis in 2008 has changed South Korean market including furniture related field. Owing to Subprime Mortgage Crisis, new economic order, in other words, New Normal was established. Low growth rate, low interest, high unemployment rate, high risks, regulation strengthening, and all that sort of negative things have became generalized. South Korean economy has developed drastically since the Korean War, however recent economic crisis and Internet and smart phone have leading roles in shaping new consumption market. In a way, furniture market has expanded despite economic recession. Total service for housing is suited to South Korean consumers and shortened Product Life Cycle induces consumers to buy more furniture. In addition, Internet and smart phone allow people to show off their private spaces to unspecified masses. As a result, consumer prefers inexpensive and expendable furniture. It is certain that furniture market makes quantitative growth, but qualitative sides are questionable. Even though the study is focused on the existent circumstances, It will help to find out the proper ways of future furniture market in South Korea.

Gamma-ray has some advantages as a weapon: it has the ability to transmutate matter, high penetrability through materials, and it is very harmful to living things. So it is worth to study the features of gamma-ray weapon in order to utilize it. Such abilities were simulated on the basis of Monte Carlo simulation program GEANT4. For the simulation conceptual design of gamma-ray weapon was conducted. High energy electrons, which were necessary for the high energy gamma-rays, were produced by linear electron accelerator, of which the parameters were derived from the Pohang Light Source(PLS-II). Gamma-rays were get by bremsstrahlung mechanism. The spectra of gamma-rays, that were measured at distances of 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and 2000 m, were gained by GEANT4.

The present study investigated the concept of Buddha in 9- 12- year-old children who were in the concrete operational stage. The concept of Buddha was investigated in the following dimensions:form, competence and role of Buddha, feelings toward Buddha, and prayer to Buddha. Questionaire data were gathered from 143 children attending the Bulkwang Sunday School Statistical analysis was by Chi square. The children perceived Buddha as (1) a statue or a monk living in their mind and in heaven; and (2) unrestricted and superhuman but different from the creator, keeping an eye on them all the time and everywhere. The role of Buddha was perceived as one of giving blessing with good things to those who pray. The children had diverse feelings of awe, thankfulness, fear and anger toward Buddha. Most of the children were confident that Buddha would respond to their prayers but a few showed some doubt. Children in the concrete operational stage were less credulous than those in the pre-operational stage. More than half of the childen reported that they experience the fulfilment of their prayers. The children had deep faith in attaining Buddhahood.

Water environment is vital for our daily life, especially all living things, next to the air environment we breathe. In this regard, Great Britain is known as one of the most developed and well experienced countries which has developed a comprehensive system of the water environment management. In England and Wales, the National Rivers Authority was established in 1989, as an independent regulatory body taking over from the 10 Regional Water Authorities responsibility for the management of water environment. In Scotland, responsibility rests River Purification Boards and Island Council while, the Department of the Environment is the sole water authority for Northern Ireland. Overall results has made by the authority together with their strategies are reviewed in this paper.

Many human inventions were inspired by nature. The artificial neural network is one example. Another example is Genetic Algorithms(GA). GAs search by simulating evolution, starting from an initial set of solutions or hypotheses, and generating successive "generations" of solutions. This particular branch of AI was inspired by the way living things evolved into more successful organisms in nature. To simulate the process of GA in a computer, we must simulate many times according to varying many GA parameters. This paper describes the implementation of Java Package for efficient applications on Genetic Algorithms, called "JavaGA". The JavaGA used as a application program as well as applet provides graphical user interface of assigning major GA parameters.

The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which brings many benefits to our lives, has resulted in numerous IoT devices in many parts of our living environment. However, to adapt to the rapid changes in the IoT market, numerous IoT devices were widely deployed without implementing security by design at the time of development. As a result, malicious attackers have targeted IoT devices, and IoT devices lacking security features have been compromised by attackers, resulting in many security incidents. In particular, an attacker can take control of an IoT device, such as Mirai Botnet, that has insufficient security features. The IoT device can be used to paralyze numerous websites by performing a DDoS attack against a DNS service provider. Therefore, this study proposes a scheme to minimize security vulnerabilities and threats in IoT devices to improve the security of the IoT service environment.

Smart manufacturing (SM) considered as a new trend of modern manufacturing helps to meet objectives associated with the productivity, quality, cost and competiveness. It is characterized by decentralized, distributed, networked compositions of autonomous systems. The model of SM is inherited from the organization of the living systems in biology and nature such as ant colony, school of fish, bee's foraging behaviors, and so on. In which, the resources of the manufacturing system are considered as biological organisms, which are autonomous entities so that the manufacturing system has the advanced characteristics inspired from biology such as self-adaptation, self-diagnosis, and self-healing. To prove this concept, a cloud machining system is considered as research object in which internet of things and cloud computing are used to integrate, organize and allocate the machining resources. Artificial life tools are used for cooperation among autonomous elements in the cloud machining system.
