A Study on the Quality Control and the Finishability Improvement of Durable Marine Concrete (해양콘크리트의 품질관리 방안 및 마감성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the quality control and the finishability improvement properties of durable marine concrete under construct in Geo-je Ka-duk fixed link project. Below $3.5\times10^{-12}m^2/s$ chloride migration coefficient and above 40MPa compressive strength are required for the caisson structure concrete. The quality control was performed from physical-chemical analysis of raw materials to concrete test. Also, the efficiency of vibration type and action interval were tested to remove the entrapped air on the faced to form. And kinds of form and remolding agent were also tested. This paper aim to enhance the practical use of high performance concrete to construction field.

M_CSPF: A Scalable CSPF Routing Scheme with Multiple QoS Constraints for MPLS Traffic Engineering

  • In the context of multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) traffic engineering, this paper proposes a scalable constraintbased shortest path first (CSPF) routing algorithm with multiple QoS metrics. This algorithm, called the multiple constraint-based shortest path first (M_CSPF) algorithm, provides an optimal route for setting up a label switched path (LSP) that meets bandwidth and end-to-end delay constraints. In order to maximize the LSP accommodation probability, we propose a link weight computation algorithm to assign the link weight while taking into account the future traffic load and link interference and adopting the concept of a critical link from the minimum interference routing algorithm. In addition, we propose a bounded order assignment algorithm (BOAA) that assigns the appropriate order to the node and link, taking into account the delay constraint and hop count. In particular, BOAA is designed to achieve fast LSP route computation by pruning any portion of the network topology that exceeds the end-to-end delay constraint in the process of traversing the network topology. To clarify the M_CSPF and the existing CSPF routing algorithms, this paper evaluates them from the perspectives of network resource utilization efficiency, end-to-end quality, LSP rejection probability, and LSP route computation performance under various network topologies and conditions.

PI Controlled Active Front End Super-Lift Converter with Ripple Free DC Link for Three Phase Induction Motor Drives

  • An active front end (AFE) is required for a three-phase induction motor (IM) fed by a voltage source inverter (VSI), because of the increasing need to derive quality current from the utility end without sacrificing the power factor (PF). This study investigates a proportional-plus-integral (PI) controller based AFE topology that uses a super-lift converter (SLC). The significance of the proposed SLC, which converts rectified AC supply to geometrically proceed ripple-free DC supply, is explained. Variations in several power quality parameters in the intended IM drive for 0% and 100% loading conditions are demonstrated. A simulation is conducted by using MATLAB/Simulink software, and a prototype is built with a field programmable gate array (FPGA) Spartan-6 processor. Simulation results are correlated with the experimental results obtained from a 0.5 HP IM drive prototype with speed feedback and a voltage/frequency (V/f) control strategy. The proposed AFE topology using SLC is suitable for three-phase IM drives, considering the supply end PF, the DC-link voltage and current, the total harmonic distortion (THD) in supply current, and the speed response of IM.

Performance and blocking probability in a two-class CDMA system with mobile station of 2 classes (2 클래스 CDMA 시스템의 성능과 블록킹 확률)

  • Mobile stations can be classified by the transmission power level in CDMA system. Different performance parameters will be given to each class of mobile stations so that the appropriate quality ofservices can be provided. In this paper, it is assumed that there are two clsses of mobile stations. with the classification of mobile stations, analytical models are presented for the estimates of the reverse link capacity and the blocking probability. From the model for the reverse link capacity, the maximum number of each class of mobile stations to be served is derived. It is shown that $E_{b/}$I reduction of 1 dB allows the capacity to be increased by 25% and the data transmission rate and the power control accuracy have a significant effect on the reverse link capacity and the blocking probability. Simulation results are provided for validating the anlaytical estimates of the blocking probability.ocking probability.y.

  • Power Quality and Reliability are becoming important issues for critical and sensitive loads. This paper describes the Line Interactive UPS with the function of Voltage Compensator that is 'Line interactive Dynamic Voltage Restorer(LIDVR). The main purpose of a LIDVR is to compensate for voltage sag(dip), outage and overvoltage. The overall system consists of three controller 1) current controller with prediction 2) voltage controller and 3) proposed variable DC LINK controller. The variable DC LINK control technique using the LIDVR protects DC LINK from overflowing the input current. The simulation results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed system.

  • This study seeks to determine the effect of the application of accounting information system (AIS), internal control system, and human resource (HR) competency on the quality of local government financial statements (FS). This study uses agency theory and compliance theory. Agency theory is used to explain that there is a link between the society as the principal and the government as the agent. Compliance theory is a theory, which states that every agency is obliged to comply with regulations because the law-drafting authority has the right to dictate behavior. The population in this study were employees of the financial division of local government organizations in one of the districts in Central Java, Indonesia. The total samples in this study was 106 respondents. The data used are primary data taken from distributing questionnaires to respondents. The method of analysis used to test the hypothesis was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that HR competency has an effect on the quality of FS; however, the application of AIS and internal control system has no effect on the quality of FS. The implication of this research underlines the importance of HR competency to improve the quality of local government FS.

  • This article presents a field evaluation of an IP-based architecture for heterogeneous environments that has been developed under the aegis of the Moby Dick project, covering UMTS-like (universal mobile telecommunications system) TD-CDMA (time division-code division multiple access) wireless access technology, wireless and wired LANs. The architecture treats all transmission capabilities as basic physical and data-link layers, and replaces all higher-level tasks by IP-based strategies. The Moby Dick architecture incorporates mobile IPv6, fast handovers, AAA-control (authentication, authorisation, accounting), charging and quality of service (QoS) in an integrated framework. The architecture further allows for optimised control on the radio link layer resources. It has been implemented and tested by expert users, and evaluated by real users on field trials with multiple services available.

  • The learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performing this specific task. In a previous work the authors presented an iterative precision of linear decentralized learning control based on p-integrated teaming method for the vertical dynamic multiple systems. This paper develops an indirect decentralized learning control based on adaptive control method. The original motivation of the loaming control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as on a]1 assembly line. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems, and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. Error wave propagation method will show up in the numerical simulation for five-bar linkage as a vertical dynamic robot. The methods of learning system are shown up for the iterative precision of each link at each time step in repetition domain. Those can be helped to apply to the vertical multiple dynamic systems for precision quality assurance in the industrial robots and medical equipments.

  • This paper presents a study on the control of a power quality compensating equipment of electrical railway built in small-scaled to preliminary research. Because this compensating equipment is very complicated power electronics system, consisting of a scott transformer as a power source, four single phase inverters interconnected with DC-link capacitors and various electrical apparatuses, multiple controllers and control algorithms with high performance and reliability are needed. The major function of the compensating equipment is to manage reactive and active powers by using the four single phase inverters, so, the main control effort is focused on the power flow control which realized through the decoupling current control of the four inverters. Overall control system is designed with object oriented and analyzed on a Simulink window. The simulation results show that the design scheme is very effective for a complicated control system and the proposed controller has good performance.
