Nonlinear vibration analysis of laminated plates resting on nonlinear two-parameters elastic foundations

  • In the present manuscript, geometrically nonlinear free vibration analysis of thin laminated plates resting on non-linear elastic foundations is investigated. Winkler-Pasternak type foundation model is used. Governing equations of motions are obtained using the von Karman type nonlinear theory. The method of discrete singular convolution is used to obtain the discretised equations of motion of plates. The effects of plate geometry, boundary conditions, material properties and foundation parameters on nonlinear vibration behavior of plates are presented.

  • A new type of collinear antenna called short-ended coaxial slot-coupled strip array antenna is investigated theoretically. The antenna has an advantage of structural simplicity. The integral equations are derived for the proposed structure by use of the Fourier transform and mode expansion, and the simultaneous linear equations are obtained. The slot electric field and strip current are then obtained by solving the simultaneous linear equation. The effects of slot and strip number on the radiation efficienty, beamwidth and directivity gain are also presented.

  • 길이에 비해서 그 반지름을 무시할 수 있는 직형다파장 안테나의 3쌍의 대칭 급전점에 각쌍마다 다른 기전력을 급전하였을 경우의 전류분포식으로 부터 각 급전임피이던스와 상호임피이던스를 구하는 이론식을 구하고 그 급전임피이던스의 계산례를 제시하였다.

  • In this paper, we construct fully discrete discontinuous Galerkin approximations to the solution of linear Sobolev equations. We apply a symmetric interior penalty method which has an interior penalty term to compensate the continuity on the edges of interelements. The optimal convergence of the fully discrete discontinuous Galerkin approximations in ${\ell}^{\infty}(L^2)$ norm is proved.

  • Motivated by [Linear Algebra and its Appl. 420(2007), 218-227] and [Linear Algebra and its Appl. 425(2007), 171-183], we, in this paper, study the solvability of periodic boundary value problems of higher order nonlinear functional difference equations with p-Laplacian. Sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution of this problem are established.

  • A modified ABS algorithm for solving a class of singular non-linear systems, $F(x) = 0, $F\;\in \;R^n$, constructed by combining the discreted ABS algorithm and a method of Hoy and Schwetlick (1990), is presented. The second differential operation of F at a point is not required to be calculated directly in this algorithm. Q-quadratic convergence of this algorithm is given.
