X-선 분석법을 이용한 난연 EPS 샌드위치 패널의 화재성능평가 방법에 관한 연구 (Fire Performance Testing Method for Fire Retardant EPS Sandwich Panel Using X-ray Analysis)

  • EPS 샌드위치 패널은 난연제의 첨가로 화재 시 발화를 늦춰주며 발열을 적게 발생시켜 연소의 확대를 막는다. 하지만 난연성능 기준에 미달하는 샌드위치 패널을 사용할 경우, 재산 및 인명 피해가 확대되는 사례가 발생할 수 있다. 마감재료의 난연성능은 육안으로는 확인이 어려워 간편하면서도 빠른 평가방법의 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 X-선 분석법(XRF, XRD)을 이용하여 EPS 샌드위치 패널의 화재안전평가 방법에 대해 분석하였다. X-선 분석법을 적용한 결과 화재시험을 통한 난연 성능에 따라 특정 성분이 검출되는 것을 확인하였다. X-선 형광분석(XRF)을 통해 알루미늄성분이 부적합제품에 비해 적합제품에 훨씬 많이 함유되어있는 것을 알 수 있었다. X-선 회절분석(XRD)을 통해 난연 EPS의 주된 결정성 물질로 확인된 깁사이트(gibbsite)는 적합제품과 부적합제품에 공통으로 함유되어 있었지만 결정성에 있어 차이가 나는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 X-선 분석을 통한 원소분석과 결정분석으로 난연성능 평가 가능성을 확인하였다.

개량형 가동보에 적용하기 위한 패널형 유리섬유보강 폴리머 복합재료 클램핑 플레이트의 환경노출 성능 (Environmental Exposure Performance of a Panel-Type Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Composite Clamping Plate for an Improved Moveable Weir)

  • The improved movable weir supplements the advantages and disadvantages of the rubber weir and the conduction gate. It consists of a stainless steel gate, air bags, and a steel clamping plate. The stainless steel gate is the main body of the weir, and the inflatable rubber sheet serves to support the steel gate. The steel clamping plate is typically in direct continuous contact with water, but this leads to corrosion issues that can reduce the life of the entire movable weir. In this study, a panel-type glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) clamping plate was designed and fabricated. The test results showed that the flexural load of the panel-type GFRP composite clamping plate was over twice that of the wings type GFRP clamping plate. The lowest moisture absorption value was obtained upon exposure to tap water, and exposure to other solutions showed similar values. Additionally, flexural load testing after exposure to an accelerated environment found the lowest residual loads of 80.51 % and 78.50 % at 50 and 100 days, respectively, for exposure to a $CaCl_2$ solution, while exposure to other environments showed residual failure loads of over 80 % at both 50 and 100 days.

Experimental Method for Durability Evaluation of a Chisel Mounted on a Composite Working Implement

  • Purpose: A chisel mounted on working implement, such as agricultural machinery used in irregular farming conditions, is subjected to highly variable fatigue loading during work. To ensure the safety of the chisel on a working implement for the duration of its service life, fatigue testing must be performed with the proper fatigue test load conditions. In this study, working loads for a chisel were developed by reconstructing loads from strain gage data collected during field tests and used to conduct fatigue tests on the chisel component. Methods: FE analysis with nCode software was utilized to select the proper quantity and locations of strain gages for load measurements. A fatigue test was performed to experimentally verify the fatigue strength of the chisel and to evaluate the validity of the load history developed with the load reconstruction technique. Results: A strain history for the chisel was obtained from data collected during field tests. The data was filtered for the 14-16 km/h speed range, connected, and merged. The chisel load history was developed using the load reconstruction technique. The resulting load history was expressed as a load spectrum using the rain-flow counting method. Conclusions: A fatigue test was conducted on a chisel under a constant load condition with an equivalent load amplitude and number of cycles, as calculated by Miner's Rule for linear damage accumulation. During the fatigue test, there were no cracks at any position. It is concluded that the fatigue test method proposed in this study can be utilized successfully as a durability evaluation method for the chisel.

낙농가를 위한 스크루 압착식 축분 고액분리기 연구 I - 젖소용 축분 고액분리기 설계요인시험 구명 - (A Study on Manure Separator Using Screw Press for Dairy Farms (I) - Factorial Tests for Design of Dairy Manure Separator -)

  • The study on design criteria of solid-liquid separator for dairy farms was done by testing various screens, presses, and RPMs of screw auger with remodeled screw-press type pig-manure separator. The moisture content of separated solid increase from 68.3% to 74.2% as auger rotating speed increased from 9.8 to 29.2 RPM at 34.8 kPa of pressure and 1.0 mm of slit wedge wire screen condition. The moisture contents of separated solid were 72~77%, work efficiencies were 16~18 kg/min at 1.0 mm of slit wedge wire screen. The efficiency was higher than one at 0.5 mm of slit wedge wire screen, which was used to separate for pig manure. The best work efficiency was 18 kg/min at 42.5 kPa, 1.0 mm slit screen. The separated solid moisture content was 75% at this condition.

해수환경에서의 차축소재(RSA1) 부식특성 평가 (Evaluation of Corrosion Behavior of Railway Axle Material (RSA1) in Seawater)

  • 본 연구에서는 철도차량의 차축소재로 사용되는 RSA1 소재에 대한 해수 부식특성 평가를 하였다. 미국재료시험협회에서 규정한 ASTM-D1141에 해당하는 인공해수를 사용하여 3전극 셀 구조를 이용한 동전위 분극법과 임피던스 분광법을 바탕으로 산출된 부식전류밀도와 부식속도는 각각 $18.3{\mu}A/cm2$와 0.217 mm/yr이다. 이 결과에 따르면 철도차량의 일반적인 내구연한인 25년을 가정할 때 한 면에서의 차축부식량은 5mm정도로 예상된다. 패러데이법칙을 바탕으로 한 정전류 부식 가속화 시험을 통해 1,3,4년의 부식양을 인위적으로 형성하였고, 단면적 감소분을 고려하여 인장시험을 시행하였다. 탄성구간에서는 부식에 의한 기계적 특성변화가 관찰되지 않았지만 소재의 연성 값은 부식이 진행 될수록 감소되는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 해수환경에서 사용될 철도차량 설계 시 고려할 기초 부식데이타로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

In vitro cytotoxicity of four calcium silicate-based endodontic cements on human monocytes, a colorimetric MTT assay

  • Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the cytotoxicity of four calcium silicate-based endodontic cements at different storage times after mixing. Materials and Methods: Capillary tubes were filled with Biodentine (Septodont), Calcium Enriched Mixture (CEM cement, BioniqueDent), Tech Biosealer Endo (Tech Biosealer) and ProRoot MTA (Dentsply Tulsa Dental). Empty tubes and tubes containing Dycal were used as negative and positive control groups respectively. Filled capillary tubes were kept in 0.2 mL microtubes and incubated at $37^{\circ}C$. Each material was divided into 3 groups for testing at intervals of 24 hr, 7 day and 28 day after mixing. Human monocytes were isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and cocultered with 24 hr, 7 day and 28 day samples of different materials for 24 and 48 hr. Cell viability was evaluated using an MTT assay. Results: In all groups, the viability of monocytes significantly improved with increasing storage time regardless of the incubation time (p < 0.001). After 24 hr of incubation, there was no significant difference between the materials regarding monocyte viability. However, at 48 hr of incubation, ProRoot MTA and Biodentine were less cytotoxic than CEM cement and Biosealer (p < 0.01). Conclusions: Biodentine and ProRoot MTA had similar biocompatibility. Mixing ProRoot MTA with PBS in place of distilled water had no effect on its biocompatibility. Biosealer and CEM cement after 48 hr of incubation were significantly more cytotoxic to on monocyte cells compared to ProRoot MTA and Biodentine.

순시전원품질 측정 및 변화에 따른 승강기 설비의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (The Study of Measurement and Performance Evaluation for Elevator Equipment by Instantaneous Power Quality)

  • 승강기 갇힘 사고 절대 건수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 또한 갇힘, 급상승, 급정지, 층 표시 오류 등 승객의 불안감을 유발시킬 수 있고, 인명 사고와 연결될 수 있는 오동작 사고가 많이 발생을 하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이런 갇힘 및 오동작을 발생시킬 수 있는 순시전원품질(Sag, Swell, Interruption) 현상이 승강기가 설치되어 있는 현장에서 어느 정도의 크기와 지속시간으로 측정이 되는지를 실시간 측정 장비를 통하여 측정 분석 하였다. 또한 승강기 설비 두 세트에 대하여 유럽에서 승강기 내성시험(susceptibility)규정으로 적용하는 EN12016(2004) 규격으로 시험하여 순시전원품질 변화에 따른 승강기 설비의 멈춤 및 구동에 대한 성능 평가를 하였다. 분석 결과는 최종적으로 승강기 설비의 전원품질과 오동작의 상호 연관성 분석 및 승강설비의 전기적 장해에 대한 대책을 제시하는데 자료로 이용될 것이다.

엘리베이터의 전원품질용 기기 설치 현황 및 오동작에 관한 조사 (The Research for Malfunction and Installation Status of Power Quality Counterplan Equipment of Elevator)

  • 엘리베이터 갇힘 사고 절대 건수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 또한 층 표시 오류, 순시전압강하 및 순시정전으로 인해 승강기 멈춤 후 기준 층 이동 등 승객의 불안감을 유발시킬 수 있고, 인명 사고와 연결될 수 있는 오동작 사고가 발생을 하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이런 갇힘 및 오동작을 발생시킬 수 있는 요인에 대한 대책 기기(SPD, Filter, Reactor)가 어느 정도 제어반 설비에 설치되어 있는지 현상 실태조사 및 현장에서 느끼는 오동작 부분에 대해 조사하였다. 조사 결과 90년대 초반 인버터 기종으로 변경되면서 대부분 전원 품질 대책 기기 선치가 미비하였고 최근 들어 대책 기기가 설치됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 근본적으로 현장에서 느끼는 오동작 횟수는 줄어들지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 자료는 현재 진행 중인 EN12016(2004) 규정 및 IEC 규정에 따른 엘리베이터의 Sag, Interruption, ESD 등에 대한 내성 시험을 통해 엘리베이터 설비의 성능 평가 부분과 비교해 현장에서 발생될 수 있는 오동작 부분에 대한 가능성을 제시하는데 자료로 사용될 것이다.

쥐똥나무를 이용한 생물공학적 비탈면 녹화공법의 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Slope Revegetation Technology of Biological Engineering Using the Ligustrum obtusifolium)

  • This study was carried out to suggest the slope revegetation technology of biological engineering using the Ligustrum obtusifolium, which is one of the pioneer plant species. Ahead of the experimental construction, we evaluated the L. obtusifolium's value of biological engineering for the slope stabilization by testing the growth rate after the cuttings were buried for 8 weeks('98. 7. ~ '98. 9.). In this test, it was found that the L. obtusifolium, one of the species deep rooted with developed underground parts, is very effective for the slope stabilization and that the rooting powder(Hormex Powder) gave the better effects on root germination. In April of 1999, the experimental construction of biological engineering technology using recycled L. obtusifolium live cuttings(applied growth-stimulating compound) and green bags was conducted at sandy cut-slope in GLEN ROSS G.C.(Yongin). The slope was tolerant of soil erosion despite of heavy rainfall in the rainy season and many plant species invading for five months('99. 4. ~ '99. 9.). The vegetation research was performed through examining the frequency of each block using the transect method. 21 kinds of plant speices appeared in total area($25.5m^2$) and the dominant species are Digitaria sanguinalis, Setaria viridis, Cyperus amuricus, Persicaria blumei, Artemisia princeps var. orientalis. With regard to life forms, therophytes were shown with a dominant distribution of 66.7% of total species and neophytes relatively with a low distribution of 19.0%. Furthermore, it can be estimated that there is no ecological stabilization of this slope with the result of the ruderal species' occupation of 71.4%. It is too early to argue about ecological mechanical advantages and disadvantages of this technology, but, from the result of this study, it is expected that the slope revegetation technology of biological engineering using L. obtusifolium can be effectively applied to sandy slope(not rock or weathered rock slope) and that the early rapid stabilization and favorable succession could be done with the improvement of soil condition.

호흡기세포융합바이러스감염증 역학조사 수행절차 제안 (Recommendation for conducting process of an epidemiological survey in respiratory syncytial virus infection)

  • As respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) is transmitted either via directly contact with an infected case or via indirectly contaminated fomites or skin, the major preventive measures are strict hand hygiene, early detection of transmitted sources, and rapid isolation of RSV patients. Especially early detection of hidden cases is the most critical control measure when an index case was notified in a postpartum center. The Guideline of Korea Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention defines potential contacts in an epidemiologic survey as admitted newborns, parents of index cases, center's workers, and visitors for 10 days before the first diagnosis day of index case. However, it needs to classify potential contacts in more detail in order to conduct a successful survey. Authors conducted to search related literatures and appraise the evidences. Firstly, potential contacts would be classified into RSV-related symptomatic contacts(SxC) and asymptomatic contacts. And then, mother, caring workers, and visitors of the index cases among asymptomatic contacts would be defined as the asymptomatic close contacts(ASCC). Finally, the rest would be defined as the asymptomatic regular contacts(ASRC). The defined test using reverse transcription-PCR is applied to SxC and ASCC, and decision of isolation or regular activities are made according to the results. The rapid antigen detection test kits are applied to ASRC. These suggestions might be helpful to detect hidden cases earlier and prevent a further infection.
