  • This research investigated how the participation of various social activities affects cognitive function in middle-aged and elderly population. To examine the relation between the participation of various social activities and cognitive function, we used data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing. Social activities were classified into four types as religious ritual, leisure, public association and ascriptive association activities, and MMSE-K score was used to measure cognitive function. Results from multiple regression analyses after adjusting for socio-economic status and health status show that the participation in religious and leisure activities have positive effects on cognitive function in middle-aged and elderly population. Participation in leisure activities in middle-aged male group helps preserve cognitive function, and leisure activity and ritual activity are significantly related to cognitive function in middle-aged female group. Meanwhile the participation in religious and leisure activities have positive effects on cognitive function in elderly male and female group. Based on these findings, we suggest that various programs to support the participation of elderly population in social activities should be developed for healthy life for the elderly.

If this unequal concentrated phenomenon is relieved, diversity using of human resource will be available. For the purpose, this study try to determine the experience structure and the career decision-making process of the female undergraduate who want the male-dominated job through the qualitative study method, and to determine factors that work negative or positive on the process to use for the career consult. Grounded theory based data analyses resulted in 61 concepts, 27 sub-categories, and 12 categories from the recorded data of 8 female undergraduates who want the male-dominated job. The core category was "For the special life, keeping challenging with the will". A paradigm model consist of the casual condition, central phenomenon, contextual condition, intervening condition, actions/reactions and the result was proposed. And the participants went through five stages with time in their career decision-making process: the stage of awareness about the trait and aspiration, the stage of internal determination, the stage of support and accept, the stage of challenge and overcome, and the stage of affirmation and confidence. Implications of the findings and suggestions for the future research are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to closely examine causality on the married-working women's depression. For this, the analytical materials were used the primary Seoul Metropolis Welfare Panel survey data. 507 married-working women in their 20s~50s were selected among survey subjects of Seoul Metropolis Welfare Panel data. The analytical method was used the structural equation model. As a result of analysis, it could be known that the path of perfect mediating effect in depression was formed after passing through the benefits satisfaction and the marital happiness from gender role attitude in the married-working women and that the benefits satisfaction has the partial mediating effect between depression and marital happiness. Suggesting a plan for getting rid of depression in the married-working women based on the results of this study, first of all, the married-working women's depression is greatly accredited to what our society regards domestic work yet as woman's role. Thus, the policy-based measure is demanded that can support for working women to be possibly compatible in work and family life and that can induce men's participation in household affairs and child-rearing in such context. Second, it was indicated that the more the married-working women adhere strictly to the gender role attitude of traditionalism, the lower result the marital happiness and benefits satisfaction have. Considering this, a plan for activating welfare system and family-friendly system is demanded that can change gender role value in traditionalism, which is being left in our society. Third, to promote marital happiness that has great influence upon the married-working women's depression, there is a need of seeking a plan, which further intensifies the family services including the marital education and the parent education.

  • Cancer is a disease that threatens the individual's life. This is why the cancer patient goes through psychosocial pain in the form of a trauma. Thus, the previous researches have only focused on the cancer patient's psychosocial distress. However, the cancer patients who have grown more mature and brought upon positive changes in their lives have been clinically observed. Because of this, researches regarding the ways that social welfare can intervene in order to examine the cancer patients' positive changes and growth which breaks away from the previous pathological point of view of the cancer patients are being actively conducted in other countries. But it turns out that there aren't enough basic researches related to this topic and thereby the need to lay out the basis for social welfare intervention. Therefore, this research examines positive changes and growth that may result from the traumatic experience of having a cancer. The predictable factors regarding this are analyzed in order to provide the basic information that may promote clinical intervention for cancer patient's posttraumatic growth. For this, the information from 206 cancer patients who have agreed to participate in the research have been used to predict and evaluate the predictable factors for the cancer patient's post-traumatic growth and hierarchy multiple regression haven been analyzed. As the result of the research, main factor of the post-traumatic growth is found to be social support and coping. The positive reconstruction of coping has been discovered to be the strongest predictable factor for cancer patient's posttraumatic growth. Based on this result, the advice for further research and implications for social welfare have been given.

As to this discussion, We seek to grope practical ways for self-help group. By using Participatory Action Research, We intended to an alternative plan in collaborating between practitioners and all concerned. Following four-step-process in this methodology, we explored processes of changing and considered social work practical meaning. On results, first, The motive have come from critical minds that motivate them to choose their way subjectively. We concluded that they have a necessity of change as a groping activity within their capability. Second, On process trying to be changed, They have made initiative decisions about how extensive and deep their changes should be, by discussion being themselves. So they have agreed to aim at purposeful activities beyond just emotional support. Third, they suggested and planned meaningful action as a specific strategy for changing and all these were done by local community volunteering and lecturing for supporting single mother. • The introduction of Smart technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI) systems are have a powerful impact in a variety of industry fields. Some experts predict that smart technology will completely change people's daily life and work styles, causing technological innovation, productivity improvement, and discovery and emergence of new fields. On the one hand, this vision cannot ignore negative views and concerns. Despite many social debates about employment, such as job loss and rising unemployment, there have not been many studies based on employee experience that provide a fundamental solution to the conflict between AI and employment. Therefore, this study finds out the effects and related factors of AI concierge robots for hotel employees, focusing on the hotel industry, and how employees' perceptions of AI concierge robots affect user resistance and turnover intention. This study, conducted a questionnaire survey of 322 hotel employees who had experience working with AI concierge robots in China, and used SPSS and SmartPLS statistical analysis programs to draw conclusions. We found that hotel employees' perceptions of AI concierge robots were significantly related to user resistance and turnover intention, and this association was related to employee self-efficacy, perceived organizational support, quality of AI services and new tasks. In addition, it was found that the quality of AI concierge robots directly or indirectly had the greatest influence on user resistance and turnover intention. The findings of this study provide theoretical implications for academia and practical implications for industry practitioners.

  • The searchable encryption model allows to selectively search for encrypted data stored on a remote server. In a real-world scenarios, the model must be able to support multiple search keywords, multiple data owners/users. In this paper, these models are referred to as Multi Ranked Searchable Encryption model. However, at the time this paper was written, the proposed models use fully-trusted trapdoor centers, some of which assume that the connection between the user and the trapdoor center is secure, which is unlikely that such assumptions will be kept in real life. In order to improve the practicality and security of these searchable encryption models, this paper proposes a new Multi Ranked Searchable Encryption model which uses random keywords to protect search words requested by the data downloader from an honest-but-curious trapdoor center with an external attacker without the assumptions. The attacker cannot distinguish whether two different search requests contain the same search keywords. In addition, experiments demonstrate that the proposed model achieves reasonable performance, even considering the overhead caused by adding this protection process.
