An Efficient Message Management Scheme in Game Engine (게임엔진에서의 효율적인 메시지 관리 기법)

  • Game engine, materialized by a library or a shape of the module, is providing many ability for developing game. Because of the high cost of developing game, game engine plays a big role on game developing urea by how it provide it's efficiency. In other words, the message scheme, which occur often while carrying out the game, highly affect on how fast it manage, its efficiency, and system's efficiency. Also, it is one of the important urea that needed to be considered while developing the game engine. In this paper, we suggest managing the message scheme technique by Lua script language, proving its suggested technique by developing $O_2$ engine itself, and analyzing it's capacity in order to show its efficiency.

  • IT Service Management (ITSM) achieves consolidated management for the IT services supporting the acquisition system, and no outside connections can be established with such ITSM. Issues pertaining to the D2B can be addressed to System Q&A or a Call Center for problem-solving. In other words, internal staff can take the necessary measures for problems by directly connecting with ITSM. Currently, diverse innovative technologies are being used in electronics and ubiquitous computing environments. This allows us to create a better world by providing the backbone for remarkable development in our human society in the fields of electronics, devices, computer science, and engineering. Following the expansion of IT services in the military acquisition sector such as Defense Electronic Procurement, military export/import support system, etc., customers' dependence on IT for conducting business with the military or related companies is increasing, including the military's dependence on the same technology for services to the public. Nonetheless, issues pertaining to the simplified/integrated management of complex IT service management systems, including slow system recovery, lack of integrated customer service window, and insufficient information sharing, have become the priority problems that IT managers are required to solve. Therefore, this study conducted research on the integrated management of IT services provided by Korea's national defense acquisition system, which was developed based on the existing system IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v2, and investigated the level of satisfaction with services with focus on ensuring that it can be used for understanding the necessity of the system and its advancement in the future.

  • Present study introduces an implementation of product data management (PDM) that can be applied to the design of ship propulsion system. The PDM system is developed based on both object oriented software development environment and Open Scene Graph (OSG) library while the system architecture is modeled by the unified modeling language (UML). Suggested PDM system also integrates the modeling & simulation components required to estimate the performance of ship propulsion system as the product information is represented based on the 3-dimensional digital mock-up (DMU). Finally, functions of the implemented PDM system that is integrated with the M&S softwares are illustrated in order to suggest a practical guidance for the efficient design of ship propulsion system.

  • Use cases are commonly used to represent customer requirements during systems development. In a large software development environment, finding relevant use cases from a library of past or related projects is a complex, error-prone and expensive task. This study proposes an ontological methodology to support use case retrieval in an interactive manner. The architecture of a prototype system that implements this methodology is presented. To evaluate whether the proposed approach can provide satisfactory results to users, this study develops a research model and hypotheses based on interaction theory. These hypotheses are empirically tested using a laboratory experiment which controls information filtering and perceived interaction. Our study suggests that a system which interacts with a user intelligently reduces cognitive load and increases self-efficacy and satisfaction.

  • In this paper, we design and implement electronic book system providing web-based interface for the ebook. The aim of this study is to optimize the effective reading and management of electronic text for its users(readers and librarians). Advanced functions of the electronic book system are the following: 1) Electronic book system is not dependent to specific software and tool. 2) Electronic book system is able to. minimize images(table, image, icon etc) to improve the meaning and readability of information. 3) Electronic book system is able to reduce the effort for indexing extraction and constructing the table of content. 4) The system is able to collect the user log files that are created during the process of reading ebook from various points of view. 5) When reading, the system uses the DRM through decoding and encoding the ebook.

  • In this paper, an algorithm of extracting the features of home appliances and automatically building a database to identify home appliances is designed and presented. For the verification, a software library supporting this algorithm is implemented and added to an power management system server, which was already implemented to support real-time monitoring of home appliances' power consumption status and controlling their power. The implemented system consists of a system server and clients, each of which measures the power consumed by a home appliance plugged in it and transmits the information to the server in real-time over a wireless network. Through experiments, it is verified that it is possible to identify any home appliance connected to a specific client.

  • The lack of an understanding of the characteristics of a specific user group in computer-based information systems in libraries hinders library and information science professionals in grasping users' needs and making the best decisions when designing, acquiring, and managing information systems. The objective of this study was to provide information on the characteristics of specific user groups such as male & female student groups. undergraduate & graduate ones, Sciences and Humanities majored ones etc. This study also provides system developers (vendor) and adopters with users' needs and the merits or demerits of a specific system on the basis of students' evaluation. For the purpose, questionnaire was prepared and administered to Korean college students in the city of Taegu, Korea and adjacent area. One hundred and seventeen usable questionnaires were obtained and analyzed. These were analyzed using descriptive, inferential statistics. and SPSS software. The major findings of this study are: (1) Gender of the students affects the preference for the type of OPAC system selected more than that of academic level of study, age, and academic major; (2) The domestic in-house OPAC systems in Korea affect the user preference of system much more than that of foreign package ones; (3) System designers should prepare and use professional terms or abbreviations for system users more carefully, and explain them in detail; (4) Most of users preferred package OPAC systems to in-house ones, and preferred GUI systems to Telnet-based ones. Also, there was a significant difference between them. Conclusions are drawn from the findings in this paper, and recommendations are proposed when designing, adopting, or managing a new system. Topics for future studies on the characteristics of OPAC systems and their user are also suggested.

  • Recently, the food industry has evolved into a new and innovative trend according to its globalization and change of food consumption patterns. However, it is hard for the traditional food industry in Korea to meet the changing consumers' needs because of its poorer quality control and lower industrialization technology than other advanced industries. Also the knowledges acquired through a lot of time and efforts would be lost after the human resources with tacit knowledges leave by their too much aging. Especially, the 21st century would be called as knowledge based society which means that knowledge be the important contributing factor in the economic growth. In this regard, this study aimed at proposing the knowledge based system for systematically managing or preserving knowledges of Mosisongpyun industry in Yeonggwang County to seek for the sustainable development of the traditional food industry in Korea. The knowledge based system of Mosisongpyun industry in Yeonggwang County is finally proposed as follows; First, hardware is composed with the necessary unit facilities such as interpretive center, learning and experience room, library, etc. And the integrating facilities such as Mosisongpyun theme park, traditional village, and knowledge industrialization support center are proposed. Second, software is composed with the necessary unit softwares such as the preservation manual of traditional knowledge and skill, web-site administrator, development of graded textbooks, development database software, etc. And the integrating softwares such as development of innovation and management ability in Mosisongpyun industry are proposed. Third, humanware is composed with the necessary unit programs such as exhibition, own training program, incubator support system, etc. And the integrating programs such as the farm association corporation, the testing and research institute, the institution of learning and training are proposed.

  • In mobile market which has been developed drastically, short distance mobile Near Field Communication is becoming the conversation topic. Google adopted this NFC technology to Android 플랫폼 for securing the leadership and many another countries including domestic companies are putting spurs to develop service and technology by connecting mobile carrier and the financial. Within this circumstance, most noticeable issue is securing stability of nfc application service. Android 플랫폼 is operating system of mobile device and also a software stack which is required limited hardware and immediate response. However, since its structural characteristic which is suitable for limited hardware, the response is not quite stable for real time process. That is, this paper researches by analyzing real time response of NFC related library provided from Android 플랫폼 and applying the result to NFC application for securing stable data process and response.

  • Research competitiveness is the future of the university and the future of the country. This study is to present considerations when university libraries introduce and perform research performance analysis services and to propose guidelines for selection of analysis solutions. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 6 university library staff were interviewed and 4 research performance analysis solutions were compared. The contents of the interview include the background of service promotion, service content, subscription solution, service provision scope and provision method. The research performance analysis solutions selected for analysis are InCite, SciVal, RIMS and Scholytics. As a result of analyzing the four solutions, it was found that most of the software has the necessary functions to perform research performance analysis service tasks, and generally subscribed to the solution according to the purpose of analysis. The results of this study can be used as reference materials for performing research performance analysis services in university libraries.
