Background: The purpose of this study was to identify role ambiguity of comprehensive nursing care unit nurses. Methods: A concept analysis method by Walker and Avant was used to understand role ambiguity of comprehensive nursing care unit nurses. Results: The antecedents of role ambiguity of nurses at comprehensive nursing units were shortage of nurses, unclear admission criteria, and demands for customized nursing care according to severity. Attributes include ambiguity in role delegation, patient placement ambiguity, and professional ambiguity among nursing staff. The consequences were diminished job satisfaction due to excessive workload, difficulty in resolving role ambiguity due to the lack of work analysis studies, and poor outcome of nursing indicators. Conclusion: Improvement of nationwide awareness for comprehensive nursing care unit is required. Clear division at scope of practice for nursing staff in accordance of each medical institution's characteristics is essential. Nurses at comprehensive nursing care unit should understand nature of role ambiguity that occurs as they work in large groups. Nurses should promote communications between nursing staff and they must have volition to improve status quo. An additional research of comprehensive nursing care on the causes of role ambiguity in the practice of nursing care for ward nurses is needed, and management measures should be sought at the organizational level.
Public uniforms play an important role in creating the color and image of urban environment beyond the level of simple working clothes for unity and practicality. Hence this study aims to compare and analyze the color characteristics and images of the police officer, fire fighter, and street cleaner uniforms at home and abroad to guarantee the wearer's safety, increase convenience and agreeability, and give emotional satisfaction to citizens in harmony with urban environment color as public uniforms. For study methods, literature review investigated urban environment, color, and uniforms as public design. Empirical study extracted color data from the public worker uniforms of the world's top 20 cities selected by 'Newsweek' in 2010 and analyzed their colors, tones, and color images. The results of this study are as follows. The most common color for police uniforms were PB(dk) as the main color, PB(p) as the sub color, and Wh as the accent color. For fire fighter uniforms, PB(dkg) was the most common main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and ItGy, as the accent color. The most common color for street cleaner uniforms was YR(v) as the main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and mGy, as the accent color. As a result of analyzing color images of these uniforms, it was found that police uniforms commonly used a modern image; fire fighter uniforms commonly used a natural image and a cool casual image; and street cleaner uniforms commonly used a casual image. As examined above, the color of public uniforms suitable for urban environment and job characteristics is very important to establish the image of public institutions, as well as to create an urban image.
Background: A study was conducted to check the occupational personality competency status of students enrolled in the three-year dental hygiene department and to understand the contents of vocational personality education to be prepared according to these results. Methods: For 240 students enrolled in the Department of Dental Hygiene in Area, Daegu, the College Student Occupational Personality Scale (OPSU) was administered. Results: The higher the major satisfaction (F=10.589, p<0.000) and the higher the major performance (F=3.704, p<0.01), the higher the vocational personality competency. The average occupational personality competency for job adaptation was 3.96±0.47 points (out of 5 points). As for the average for each sub-area, consideration was the highest at 4.51±0.42, and confidence was the lowest at 3.54±0.84. Among professional personality competencies, the average of each sub-area showed the highest positive correlation in the order of positivity (r=0.835, p<0.00), reliability (r=0.769, p<0.00), and community consciousness (r=0.767, p<0.00), and consideration (r=0.696, p<0.00) showed the lowest correlation. Conclusions: Personalized career and employment education should be provided in consideration of the individual occupational personality level of dental hygiene students considering the characteristics of the health and medical fields, and individual counseling should be provided in areas that are insufficient or supplemented. In addition, dental hygiene ethics education is necessary for the development of vocational personality competencies in the dental hygiene curriculum, and universities should spare no support for completing vocational personality education programs in preparation for the future society by using comparative programs.
Consistently delivering good service quality is a complex and dynamic process. In this matter, service differs from tangible products and is highly dependent on the business and service provider. Therefore, efficiently managing the process of delivering service quality can contribute to profits for organization and satisfaction to customers. This study was performed to define service quality, and to investigate the personal and operational characteristics that impacts the service quality provided by foodservice provider. The responses from 278 foodservice providers and 427 customers in 82 fast-food and family restaurants were used in this analysis. Descriptive, Factor Analysis, T-test, ANOVA, and Correlation Analysis were used for statistical Analysis. The Results of this study were as follows : 1) The perception of foodservice provider was significantly higher than that of the customers in most of the 21 service quality attributes. 2) The 6 dimensions derived from Factor Analysis explained 56.8% for service quality. 3) Among the personal characteristics of the foodservice provider, the level of education and the position in the job led to a significant difference in some of the service qualities. 4) The type of restaurant played an important role in foodservice providers'perception of service quality. 5) Month since opening had a negative correlation with 'Atmosphere' and a positive correlation with 'Reputation', while the number of seats showed a positive correlation with 'Atmosphere' and a negative correlation with 'Food'and 'Convenience'. 6) In general, the characteristics of sales had a positive correlation with service quality. 7) The proportion of part-time employees showed a negative correlation with 'Atmosphere' and 'Food', and a positive correlation with 'Reputation'.
Most advanced countries that are members of the World Physiotherapy have established a 4-year education system or specialized graduate school system for physical therapists based on national standards. They have also expanded their laws and systems to provide physical therapists with the autonomy and independence to offer services in their clinics. However, compared with developed countries in North America and Europe, there are issues with the autonomy and independence of physical therapists in Korea related to national regulations. Social status and recognition of the profession are also lagging. Korea is expected to become a super-aged society by 2025. To reduce the financial burden of healthcare and welfare on the government, it is necessary to extend the time spent by older adults on independent activities and minimize their time spent using medical services. To achieve this goal and maximize the active life of older adults, a plan to efficiently use licensed physical therapists in the country should be prepared. Korea should increase the license utilization rate of physical therapists to reduce waste at the national level and increase the professional hope of the younger generations of physical therapists. To create a healthcare policy focusing on the use of physical therapy personnel, similar to that in advanced countries, it is necessary to unify educational systems and produce excellent physical therapists. Providing professional autonomy can help physical therapists develop a sense of job satisfaction. Outstanding talent will choose physical therapy as a profession if they can see hope for their future careers, and if physical therapy services in Korea are similar to those delivered in advanced countries, physical therapy in Korea can develop into a healthcare service that people desire.

Trends of integrating products and services lead to the emergence of Product-Service System (PSS). To implement and embody a PSS solution in new product development, a comprehensive design framework is allowed designers to facilitate the design factors of the PSS in complex business environments. A physical product, containing functionalities for services, is the role of medium between customers and a manufactures. Customers can access those metaphysical interfaces to utilize the product fully or expand its performances. The PSS is aiming to prolong its lifecycle while maintaining its expected quality. Since the quality can be represented as a measure which belongs to user's perspective, guaranteeing certain level of quality can be interpreted to sustaining customer satisfaction. The objective of this paper is to propose a PSS design framework to identify design factors for developing products and services by integrating object-oriented concepts and blueprinting in context of a business ecosystem. The proposed model is developed based on relationship products and services matching with their design factors. The products and the services are then brought together to form a PSS. Functions and processes can be categorized to identify the design factors in different levels using the object-oriented concepts. Objected-oriented concepts provide PSS analysis tools for describing a business process or a workflow process in the PSS. The blueprint is used to identify the relationships between the products functions and the service processes that are offered as part of a job. To demonstrate of the effectiveness of the proposed model, we use a case study involving a smart phone.
In recent years, vocational training has shifted away from lectures and practice-oriented methods in light of rising demand for project-based classes in which trainees can produce results while simultaneously receiving feedbacks from field experts from the industry. Therefore, this study aims to suggest a salient role of the project-based classes of enterprise-customized training programs, which private vocational training institutions regard as vital, by identifying demands from trainees or the actual beneficiaries of these programs. To this end, a written survey of the trainees' perception of the enterprise-customized training programs was conducted along with a qualitative analysis of open-ended questions. Specifically, we analyzed the overall satisfaction level of these classes, their contribution to employment, degree of meeting the expectations, and areas for improvements to ultimately derive significant implications.
This paper aims to identify the major research trends in organizational effectiveness over the past 20 years. For this purpose, SCOPUS, an international academic database provided by Elsevier, was used to identify research trends in organizational effectiveness over the past 24 years (2000~2023). According to the frequency analysis, there were 2,789 cases of organizational, 2,714 cases of effectiveness, 850 cases of management, 689 cases of performance, 632 cases of organizations, and 597 cases of leadership. Trend analysis. While effectiveness and organizational have been consistently researched, the trends of leadership and management have been declining in recent years. LDA analysis shows that effectiveness and organizational are important topics. This shows that it is important to be able to predict the future when it is difficult to predict the future. The results of this study can be used as a guide for companies to establish organizational management at a strategic level and improve organizational effectiveness.

The purpose of this study was to suggest measures to improve safety and health training by analyzing trainees who participated in the training programs. A survey was administered to 226 trainees who participated in and completed the safety and health training programs provided by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. The study results showed that the level of satisfaction of employers for the training programs was the lowest compared to the middle managers and employees. Moreover, the middle managers' job competencies were increased, and they applied newly acquired knowledge and skills to their jobs. However, there were significant differences between industries. Finally, although all levels of trainee agreed on the effectiveness of safety and health training, the perceptions of employers were lower than those of employees. Based on these study results, several implications to improve the safety and health training were suggested.
Backround: Working condition surveys are widely recognized as useful tools for monitoring the quality of working life and the improvements introduced by health and safety policy frameworks at the European and national level. The Italian Workers' Compensation Authority carried out a national survey (Insula) to investigate the employer's perceptions related to working conditions and their impact on health. Methods: The present study is based on the data collected from the Italian survey on health and safety at work (INSULA) conducted on a representative sample of the Italian workforce (n = 8,000). This focuses on the relationship between psychosocial risk factors and self-reported health using a set of logistic and linear regression models. Results: Working conditions such as managerial support, job satisfaction, and role act as protective factors on mental and physical health. On the contrary, workers' risk perceptions related to personal exposure to occupational safety and health risks, concern about health conditions, and work-related stress risk exposure determine a poorer state of health. Conclusions: This study highlights the link between working conditions and self-report health, and this aims to provide a contribution in the field of health at work. Findings show that working conditions must be object of specific preventive measures to improve the workers' health and well-being.
