On the basis of this research, we aim to present needs and applicable solutions to improve the working conditions and enhance the quality of life through more effective time management in free time activities that lead to their self development and far more enriched life. 500 subjects were randomly chosen and the questionary sheets were provided. Among them, 305 sheets were returned to be analysed through SPSS Win 10.0 software and the results are as follows; First, mean in the satisfaction of leisure activities was 3.44(SD=.73). Mean in sub categories was as follows; psychological factor(M=3.65, SD=.71), social factor(M=3.54, SD=.75), rest factors(M=3.52, SD=.63), physical factor(M=3.43, SD=.88), other factors(M=3.40, SD=.66), circumstantial factor(M=3.33, SD=.63), educational factor(M=3.24, SD=.73). Second, the most relevant sub categories in the satisfaction of leisure activities were social, educational, physical, and other circumstantial factors by sequence. Factors that affect leisure activities satisfaction were career and status of health, which shows statistical significance(p<.001). That is to say, contention of this study is that the general characteristics are closely related with and affect the types and the level of satisfaction in leisure activities of the subjects. Considering these results, the dental businesses and the associations of dental technicians should recognize the needs to improve the time management through more efficient cooperations between dentists and back office dental team, systemized working time, and introduction of incentive system among others. On the basis of this appreciation, the dental business should provide more time and various opportunities with the dental technicians. Dental technicians also need to reconsider their appreciations of leisure activities, that is, leisure activities are not just spending time doing something but they refresh them and enable them to be more active and faithful to home and work.

  • Social network games (SNGs), a rapidly growing online game genre, are built and played on social network sites. SNGs provide an online world for enjoying leisure time and interpersonal communication, and an increasing numbers of college students are involved in such game-playing as a leisure time activity. Despite the popularity, relatively few studies have been conducted to investigate the nature of game players, especially the meaning of such leisure time behavior by college students. This paper's aim was to explore a subjective meaning structure of online social network game play. The means-end chain model was used to link attributes of SNGs to the underlying values of game playing as a leisure activity. The results revealed two emerging end-values: the need for bridging and a sense of belonging. This study sheds light on the meaning of college students' leisure activities when playing social network games.

To this end, we examined the status and the characteristics of dental technicians' leisure activities among the randomly selected subjects who are working in the area of Seoul, Gyonggido, and Gangwon-do through the analysis of the 311 sheets of self-administered questionnaires. The conclusions from this analysis are as follows; 1. On weekdays, non participants in leisure activities were found to be 64.0%, and in the case of weekends, the participants were reached to 70.7%. Those who enjoy any leisure activities in either of weekdays and weekends were 34.1%, 27.3% of the dental technicians did not have any leisure activities. Therefore, statistical significance was shown in the participations of leisure activities between weekdays and weekends. 2. Of the types of leisure activities in both weekdays and weekends, sports activities were ranked at the top 33.4%, 29.6% respectively, which is followed by going to the cinema/theatre/exhibitions, etc 21.9%, 26.0%, games/entertainment 14.5%, 14.8%, hobbies/cultural activities 14.1%, 12.5%, sightseeing/picnic 6.4%, 7.4%. 3. Of the differences in the characteristics of leisure activities, the types of leisure activities between weekdays and weekends showed difference in gender, company and information regarding leisure activities in age, company and the place of leisure activities, and leisure information in the marital status, career and monthly income in company, company and leisure information in the job position, which is statistically significant (p<.001). However, no statistical significance was found among the other general items of the characteristics of leisure activities. Considering only works on weekdays policy is currently permeating into almost every business sector, dental business owners or managers are advised to consider more effective time management or human resources management, such as keeping reasonable manufacturing time through cooperations with the dentists, regularity of working hours, incentive system, introduction of credible over time payment. Which will provide their staff with more times and opportunities to enjoy their leisure activities. Additionally, the concrete and feasible ways of motivating and activating the leisure activities of dental technicians are in need of further researches and studies.

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the correlation between leisure activities and smoking/drinking of middle school students. Methods: Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 298 middle school students from the $2^{nd}$ to $30^{th}$ of September, 2009. Collected data were analyzed statistically using frequency, $x^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. The study used the Adolescent Leisure Time Activities Scale (ALTAS) developed by Yin et al. (1999) for types of leisure activities and the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS) developed by Beard & Ragheb (1980). Results: First, smoking/drinking caused significant differences in 'Socialization with friends', and drinking also caused significant differences in 'Sport activities'. Second, leisure satisfaction was positively correlated with 'currently drinking' (r=.126, p<.05). Third, significant factors influencing leisure satisfaction were grades, school life satisfaction, subjective health status, average daily leisure time, participation in leisure health program, and current drinking. These variables explained 23.4% of leisure satisfaction. Conclusion: School nurses should develop and run programs, which promote healthy ways for middle school students with wrong ways such as drinking to get leisure satisfaction. Also family, school and community should be cooperatively connected with one another.
